[Completed] Whyt is my PAC Rom not rooted? - XDA Assist

Howdy fair folks of xda. I recently rooted my Nexus 6, and proceeded to install PAC-ROM. Delighted with the rom, but my phone was rooted before I did this. Amongst other things, I liked to use Xposed. Whyt would this not now be rooted, and why am I finding it hard to find out how to re-root it. I kinda get the feeling I'm missing something.

Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! The best place to ask would be here: [ROM][OFFICIAL][Lollipop 5.1][shamu] PAC-ROM LP-MR1 Beta-2. There is normally an option to have a rooted rom in your developer options, but the much simpler way is to flash SuperSu from here: [STABLE][2015.02.13] SuperSU v2.46.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] Rooted Moto G

Hi,
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but this forum is just so huge that I don't really know where to start.
So I bought a Moto G this year, rooted it and got xposed installer on it etc etc..this was a few months ago.
It's also been a long time since I've really been into getting more out of my phone. My question now is, is xposed still the
"big thing" to have on your rooted phone or is there something new/better out there now? I don't need anything super sophisticated,
just something that has a few options like changing your interface etc.. So yeah..Am I still good with Xposed or is there anything new
and if there is, how do I "uninstall" xposed and install this new software/app/..
Thank you!
Kind regards!
Hi,
Usually the best options are custom roms with their extra customization options on some, or stock and xposed. You don't see anything on customizing stock rooted other than xposed.
You can ask for other opinions here, or use this section for any future questions or issues,

Good luck!

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, I found a ROM that I would like to install, but I don't really know how to get started? And if it makes a difference that I already have xposed on my phone?
Just read the rom flashing instructions usually in post one.... Or first couple. Or else you need to ask in the thread I linked. ?

Ok, thank you alot for your help, I know these are some newbie question. Just one last one, I'm looking for the offical Cyogenmod, I've used the search function, but I only seem to find unofficial ROM versions of it?

You can ask in the unofficial thread. But usually if there is no official version, it's cause CM doesn't officially support the device. But a Dev created one for your device anyway. ?

[Completed] [Q] root,custom roms,recovery for the zte z730 t-mobile

Hey guys and gals so i have a ZTE Z730 t-mobile i successfully rooted the phone and it also installed CWM v6.0.5. Here's my issue other than im a complete newbie, i downloaded rom MGR and it was not compatible with that version of CWM. Im guessing that there arent any custom roms out for this yet so my question is can i use a different recovery so i can flash custom roms if so what and where can i find these like i said im just starting out and want to learn all that is possible about flashing roms and such for android not sure where to start i really dont want to use the same root method because of the fact that it automatically puts the cwm v6.0.5.0 on it and i cant do anything with it or can i ? well i hope someone can reach out and point me in the rite direction it would be greatly appreciated and thank you ahead of time be well billy (a desperate newbie).
Just a side note that rooted z730 i had i tried to uninstall the cwm and failed miserably so that phone lies in the newbie android user graveyard i actually just purchased another today.:fingers-crossed:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately if there are no ROMs available for your device no amount of changing recovery will be able to fix that. You can only flash ROMs that were developed for your device, and if none of those actually exist, you're fresh out of luck. But, if you have root you can still customise your stock ROM a bit by using Xposed Framework:
Xposed - General info, versions & changelog
And you'll find an entire section of XDA dedicated to compatible Xposed Framework modules:
Xposed Framework Modules
So I'd suggest you do some looking around there and start customising your device.
Good luck!
Very helpful a huge thank you

[Completed] Digital 2 Deluxe 7" Tablet ...... the nonexisting tablet!!

I Have a Digital 2 Deluxe 7" Tablet 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
I got this tablet as a gift and after finding how cheep it is, decided to dedicate it to exploring the wonderful world of rooting... I rooted successfully using Kingo ROOT but now cant seem to find compatible apps, ROM, Modules, etc for it.
I have no backup ROM, seeing as I can find no ROM compatible with it.
I cant install xposed installer, xposed module, or xposed framework, as its not compatible with it.
TWRP recovery, nor CWM recovery, are compatible with it.
What am I to do with this tablet??? I want to learn how to tweak a rooted tablet, but I feel like my hands are tied.
Anyone got information on this tablet that seems to have never existed, due to the lack of information on it?
Thanks for the help.

[Completed] Root, Custom Recovery and Modification Basics!

Hello everyone! o/
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM9005, Android 5.0 Lollipop - non rooted. So, my question is - in what order should I root the device and install custom recovery or ROMs? I am aware of the basics regarding root and custom recovery, but not sure about what ROMs are or do. Therefore, I would like to sincerely apologize if I am wasting your time or anything but most of the posts I find tends to get technical very fast so understanding them becomes tough. So, a basic introduction to the 3 terms would be helpful.
Next - if you would kindly direct me to the most efficient and/or most useful methods to root-ing the device (like - should I use SuperSU or Kingroot or Xposed?) and installing custom recovery (like CWM or TWRP), that would be also helpful. Also, I believe that back-ups can be made using custom recovery in case of any problems - any info (basics) on that would be appreciated.
Last little bit - I did use superSU on my last phone but it kept saying something about BusyBox, if someone could give me a simplified explanation, I would be very grateful. ^_^
Please and thank you! :3

[Completed] I need a basic rundown of rooting benefits.

I recently bought a Moto X Pure from an XDA Member which should be here at the beginning of next week.
I used to own a GS5 which as you know is pretty locked down. Locked bootloader, hard to root, if you updated you're screwed, ect. So! I've been out of the rooting game for a while now and only really dipped my toes in to begin with.
My question is, can anyone explain the basics and benefits of a rooted device? Specifically, Xposed Framework/Modules, Root detection with Android Pay, and maybe some things that i've gotta try out with a fully unlocked android device. I plan to install an AOSP ROM but im gonna try out stock Moto X first and see how i like it.
Another short question I have regarding Android Pay, i've heard that some root techniques make Android Pay not work, some are fine, some custom ROMs wont work, AOSP roms will, can somebody clarify all this for me?
Thanks guys, you're always helpful. Glad to be back.
