No. You need to find a CM11 kernel (custom) with the fix, but I do not think that there is one. YNG1TAS17L - NO fix (unless you choose a different kernel). YNG1TAS2I3 has it.

I am on stock Android 4.4.4 ROM with Francokernel R58.
When I use the phone, I cannot bring up the keyboard, nor does the back button function.
Is there a fix for this?

Did you ask in the kernel thread? Seems the best place to ask to me. Or read a bit starting at the last page and see if others have reported it?
?
Sounds like to me he needs to flash the proper Gapps. I know one thing for sure. This has nothing to do with the kernel. Go grab the right gapps.
Who knows how badly google has been screwing up the stock ROM for the nexus 5

Noob question alert: How can we get the new OTA features if we are not on stock CM11S? Are they in the CM11 nightlies? I'm on a custom rom (SlimKat) but am willing to use another rom to get the new fixes. I guess I could go back to stock rooted CM11S but wondering if there are any other alternative. Thanks in advance.

CM11 will have these updates. Of course the rom you are on will integrate them but you have to wait for them to update the rom. The choice is yours what you want to do...

Oh, okay. Thanks! (button hit)
Hi guys,
I tried to flash the Franco kernel with the CM11 snapshot M9, for some reason i get pixel distortion top right. Where the cell bars show, sometimes over the complete right side of the screen.
Thereafter i re-flashed the rom directly following with the franco kernel, same result though.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Its known issue. Graphics overlay on screen touch.
Workaround: Goto 'Developer Options' and disable Hardware Overlays.
U have to do this every time u reboot the phone.
Update your ROM, you're using a outdated ROM thats lacking the commits. Easier to update your ROM than to do a workaround on every reboot.

You're saying there is an update for stable version?
Or do you mean flashing the latest nightly?
Thanks for the answers guys!

Latest nightly.
What samflorin said, M10 is out for some phones. OnePlus One is still being worked on so they didn't push M10 yet. When it does, it should be very close to the OTA.
M9 was a very old build that lacked the commits causing conflict on the kernel side of things. Once you update, all should be good
Does anyone know if the new raw mode functionality will work on the CM11 nightlies? Don't really want to go to CM11S to try it out.
Thanks

I read that it requires specific CM11S libraries, so it might not work.
Just test it out yourself. The latest Cameranext.apk can be found on the forum.

I am not using a CM11 based rom atm so was trying to save myself the hassle of flashing twice. Already tried it out with vaniir
I've this section and there are so many ROMs to choose from along with kernels.
Any precautions I should take first before installing a recovery, custom ROM, kernel and root?
Any recommendations for a custom recovery and lollipop ROM please? Preferably with camera raw support?
Any kernels with overclocking?
Thanks
Try cataclysm last. You're unlikely to change again.

Back up your EFS. Put the backup someplace off the device.
Read all the stickies.
Flash away.
Thanks all

No idea but I don't see why not. Most people including myself use ElementalX. Not much wrong with stock, I just like to tinker.
