Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! There is a procedure to follow in order to update to 5.1. If you read through this guide you should be able to sort things out: [Condor] 5.1 official OTA captured.
Good luck!

[Q] Hardbricked Moto G XT1033. Need MBM-CI 5.0 Lollipop

Hello guys,
I upgraded my Moto G a couple of days ago to Lollipop 5.0 and yesterday I decided to downgrade my phone back to 4.4.4.
But when I updated OTA 4.4.4 my phone won't boot up.
I've flashed MBM-CI 4.3 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 with Motoflasher, but it still won't boot up.
Please, how to make MBM-CI file? I still have my OTA 5.0.
Thanks.

It's the same procedure as the one for the G2. Follow this guide and make sure your pc is not connected to the internet and deactivate the antivirus while you flash the phone.

Also please let me know Firmware and ROM both are same concept and different concept in Android.
Further, when I turned on my rooted phone it is directly going to fastbood and showing the reason for Fastbood as below:
Fastboot reason: UTAG "bootmode" configured as fastboot issue
So how can I fix this issue.
Thanks a ton for your rich and valuable reply in advance.
