[Completed] About OTA update of Android 6.0 - XDA Assist

I have Moto g2 XT1068 and I want update it to Android 6.0 and I have root access so will it harm my mobile.

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
You won't be able to apply OTA if you're rooted.You can flash the full firmware using fastboot or from a custom recovery.

To properly unroot the device, you need to flash the firmware

But whenever I tries to flash any rom through cwm recovery it gives me error of "system mount" and some time before getting message of successful flash , it will reboot automatically. Please help me...

Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! There is a procedure to follow in order to update to 5.1. If you read through this guide you should be able to sort things out: [Condor] 5.1 official OTA captured.

I have followed the same procedure and now I am in 22.27.1 System version and 22.46-36.1 Build number, Please help me to get 5.1 from this stage

Make a nandroid backup before flashing.
Flash this and wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing.

I did the backup then flashed the file it was unsuccessful so I wiped the cache and rebbit but it said are you sure there is no os so now my phone can't biit to android it does nothing all j can do is go to twrp can you please help me because I don't think my dad will get me another one :crying: :crying:

I already tried it by downloading the smg361hu firmware.
And i tried to flash it in odin but it always fail at recovery.img.
I really want to make my phone android lollipop but theres no way i can find answer on google.

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
You cannot do that.You can only flash the firmware of your device on it.

i have lg g4 and I have been trying to update my android version to Marshmallow today. When I check for updates, it shows that it is available. I tell it to download and after the restart it showing me error by the way i don't have a root access help pleas

Greetings and welcome to assist. If your phone isn't modified in anyway then the update should install. You can update manually using this guide
