Hey xda team
I am having a micromax canvas colors a120 handset and am just a beginner in rooting n all stuff.
I have rooted my phone nd have cwm recovery installed on it.
i have flashed a rom --http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-micromax-canvas-2-colours-t2937482
on my hand set.
But now, i want to flash this rom--http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-12-unofficial-t3126181
on my handset.
So i just want to ask that if i can directly flash it from recovery mode or if i have to make any changes before.
Thanks for your support team and your work.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. If the rom you linked is specifically made for your device then in your recovery then first wipe system, data, dalvik, and cache. Then flash the rom. For further information see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2777619

I don't have the device , but the paranoid android thread will have proper instructions given
in general
go in recovery more ( cwm or twrp)
backup current rom ( just in case )
wipe data / reset
format system
wipe dalvik cache
install rom from sd card
if there is a custom kernel
flash its zip over the rom

Guys problem with my handset
I purchased my set on 15 Aug.
It was pre-loaded with Build_Q3000_S011_25022014
I Rooted the phone and installed the Custom recovery also, was working fine.
But, I want to increase the internal storage so I patched the storage
After then I was going to recovery (for wipe data, cache, emmc etc.) but recovery is not coming up, just Xolo logo came and disappeared, nothing further
I tried CWM, CTR & TWRP, all, but in vein ...
And if I revert back to Stock recovery then it's going in stock recovery, but there I can't flash any ROM or update error came "installation aborted"
Then I flashed my phone with Build_XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013
Same position .... no recovery is working ...
Even I flashed KitKat ROM also but still Custom recovery not working
Can anyone help me ?

Its a jellybean rom.
If u use this over a kitkat rom then it can flicker, u need to use/flash jellybean uboot.img if it flickers.
Unboot.img

Then I flashed it, tablet closed and opened again with black screen. I closed it again with power button. Then I re-opened it. All I see is a animation.
The tablet stays in animation for hours. I can still get in recovery mode but theres only 3 option.
-reboot
-wipe data/factory
-wipe cache
so what can I do? I tried adb root things.. ? I dont know.. Im very confused.
edit: I wanna root and flash rom from ADB. Is this possible?

Hello XDA!!
I'm in deep trouble.
I'm a samsung galaxy core 2 user.I've a rooted device and have twrf recovery.
Here is what I'm facing.
I switched off my mobile and went to recovery there by mistake I deleted system+ everything. Cleared dalvic cache etc...
Before doing that I forgot to do backup of system... I only backed up boot.img n recovery not system...
Then i searched on XDA n found a modified rom. Now whenever I'm trying to flash modified zip file of Samsung galaxy core 2 ROM that says can't be mounted and there is no operating system installed...
I get same message before flashing modified ROM that there is no operating system..
Please help me out..
This is the link of modified ROM

The partitions may be corrupted and as a result you cannot mount them or TWRP is blocking them for safety reasons.
Do everything on YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Method A:
1. Go to TWRP>Mount
2. Check Everything and go back
3. Try to reflash the rom.
Method B:
1. Make a Nandroid Backup of everything NOW
2. Go to Wipe and Wipe everyting EXCEPT Recovery and ANYTHING that has boot in it (fastboot, boot, hboot etc.)
3. Restart your phone into recovery again.
You should be able to mount.
When I CLick on mount I get following options n all get highlighted when I click on them except system
After flashing ROM I got error (second screen short )

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. If you're flashing a custom Rom always wipe system, dalvik, and cache before flashing. If you're flashing the stock firmware do a factory reset in the stock recovery after flashing. Doing those will avoid bootloops in most cases. If you need further help see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4. They are the experts on your device.
