When you unlock bootloader, the entire internal memory is wiped...
You should have transferred your photos and files to a sd-card..
Sorry to say but now you cannot do anything...

Hi everyone,
sorry for my bad english!
so, i've rooted my htc explorer following the tutorial here in the forum, but the problems started when i did the installation of the JaggyRom!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24242126&postcount=948
i followed all the steps, but at step 2 i had some problems, i mean:
-i have put all the folders on my pc before delete everything from the SD card
-i've resized on 2 partitions: fat32 (500mb) ext4(1,38mb)
then i've finished all the step successfully.
but the problem now is: why i've lost all my data on the internal memory?
how can i restore all my phone numbers, apps, etc???

In step 5 you did a factory reset which deletes everything. You cannot get anything back unless you made a backup (or synced with your Google account..

hi, just for your sake, i shall explain what happens in step 2 and step 4. in most phones, the SD card contains media data, extra data that is not usually needed in most cases, and app info (if you moved apps to sd card). do note however, that all data in the internal memory is not moved to your computer in step 2. it remains in the phone.
step 4 is factory reset, which basically deletes everything in the internal memory apart from the ROM itself. user data and apps are stored in the internal memory. with regards to your phone numbers, by right, you should have saved them in google contacts, so when you log in to google accounts, you should get them back. for your apps, so sorry, but they're all gone. a way to not lose your apps when you flash a new rom would be to download Titanium backup from the app store. use it to back up all your apps to your SD card, and restore them from there after you flash from another rom. you will have to re sign in to most of your accounts though.
hope this helps

Factory reset and format all partitions, then do the installation.

Hello
Could any one guide myself on how to delete photo's in bulk ..
I have saved all my photo's onto an external hard drive ... and now want to free up my memory !!
I can see how to clear storage meory ... but I think this will delete msgs/other saved data that I dont want to delete ....
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have Moto G XT 1034 and I accidentally deleted my photos. I tried to find recovery options but most of the recovery options require to root the device, now if I choose to root it I will first have to unlock bootloader which will wipe all my data and I will not be able to recover the deleted files.
Moto G does not connect to PC as USB mass storage and therefore some recovery software which I tried but cannot detect my phone's drive. I tried Recuva, EaseUS mobile recovery, Glary Undelete, Dr. Fone and Photo Recovery but none of them detect MTP/PTP connection.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks

The first line says "If you don't use the phone's internal SD storage - There is still a chance...."
My photos were stored as per phone's default location (Moto G again) so I am not sure what is that supposed to mean for me. If there are any chance for me can you please explain in some details ?
The more you use the phone, the more you reduce the chances of recovering the photos.
The internal storage partition (/sdcard/) is used by apps, as well as for storing downloads, music, photos and videos.
The photos can be recovered as long as they space they currently occupy has not been overwritten by new files.
about two weeks ago an app misbehaved and deleted all data on my moto g. I was very frustrated and disappointed. Only pc recovery softwares were useless because internal memory can not be mounted as mass storage in newer android versions. So i rooted my phone and tried undelete pro, hexamob recovery pro, diskdigger pro. But all these apps are bull****. None of them recovered a single kilobyte of my 12 gb memory which contained music, videos, photos, my apps and their data and my favourite ebooks. Before trying these apps i had read this article too which i found only working method http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...de-internal-memory-data-recovery-yes-t1994705
But i didn't try and tried those apps first. You should take a look. Btw i recovered from that pain of losing files and have new files now ☺

This sub-forum is for Moto G (1st Gen) only. However the information in this thread and links provided most likely still apply to your handset.
I deleted the pictures under the folder wa-images in the device storage. Is there a way to bring them back somehow ? My device is GT-S7582 and totally unrooted.
Thanks for help

Hi, i recently flashed Evolution x in my Redmi note 7 Using Orange fox recovery, i tried to recover my deleted photos that are on internal storage that were deleted when i wiped my data , i installed Disk digger with root access and Undeleter app , Unfortunately none of them found a single photo on internal storage , by the way , orange fox asks for a pin code which i don't have, to access internal storage should i Factory reset again to Remove encryption and Scan again for Photos ? Is there any other way ?
A Factory Reset deletes all user-data hence photos, too. Because the files aren't physically removed from internal storage memory - they simply are marked as useable space - they may get recovered, but that needs forensic tools as NSA and Israeli National Agency may have, IMO
Anyway:
To create a backup ( dump ) of the part of internal storage memory you are intested in you can run ADB command sequence as follows:
Code:
adb devices
adb exec-out "dd if=/storage/emulated/0/Photos" > "C:\Photos-Dump.iso"
Good luck.

Yes, you can easily recover your photos with the help of free tool such as Stellar Data Recovery for android which help you to get back your deleted or lost photos from your internal memory storage. i hope this information would helpful for you! Thanks.
If you have enabled the backup on Google account or local backup of Mi cloud then, you can restore data of your phone. So, you can check your backup on your mobile. If you have unable to restore photos from Google backup then, you can also try best Android recovery software on PC. I hope it will helpful for you. Thanks!
