Hi guys I've had my mate 7 for a few months now and I'm getting a problem with the screen. When the screen is white I got some kind of lines (print) of the backlight its getting worse and very distracting when on the internet browser esp. Anyone else have this?

Yes, I have the lines. I was thinking it's from the screen protector that i have on the phone. So its from the dispay? I got used with it anyway.
Yes Its defo the screen its properly a print if how its glued to the board. It does my head in personally as i never used to have it and now it seems to be getting worse. Maybe I'll see if it can be solved with warranty.

Hi, I had the Mate7 and after one month of using I got white "pressure marks" on the screen, Hiawei refuwed to fix this, they said that I was pressing the screen to hard. I sold the phone, but now Im wondering, if it's a common problem with the phone, or was my device unlucky. If you use Mate7 for longer than 6 months, please write back if you see any white clouds on the screen.

i got some of that clouds
I've got some but mine are backlights problems, not ghost lighs. There' s another thread where people reported and confirmed these kind of problems.
I observed that my Honor 6 is more yellowish/warmer tone in the bottom of the display . It is visible on white backgrounds. and even in light grey backgrounds. It is a common issue with Honor 6? I saw some threads for OnePlus One with almost the same issue. How is yours?
It is something like this (it is not a Honor 6 but for example):
haven't got this on my device, maybe its some kind of a hardware problem.
how old is your device?
My device was brand new. I returned him and get a full refund. I tried to put under the UV light but from my opinion make it even worse...

This is an old and known problem. It's on almost every H6 device around right now. I'd say it's on all H6 devices since I can't really trust anybody that says they don't.
Apparently UV light fixes it.

Mine is fine...
But yeah, it's a hardware problem. I'd guess something about the glue discoloring. Apple had the same problem with their iMacs a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately there's no permanent fix, other than replacing the entire screen assembly and hoping the new one doesn't have the same problem. But then again it probably will, unless they changed the manufacturing process to fix this problem.

I have just broken my phone screen, please feel my pain.
Is there a way to over-ride the 'Touch screen disabled' prompt? I've already missed two calls fumbling for buttons.
Regards.

Hi Mostar088,
I am in the UK. I am sure you didn't mean to rub salt into the wound of my 3 month 20 day (when the screen broke) old phone [emoji22] .
I had left the original screen protector on, just as well as this is now holding the screen together.
Choice I have now is to buy a replacement screen, and fit it myself, or stump £150 for someone else to repair. The taredowns I've seen make me think that the Mate 9 is more fiddly than a Nexus 5, which I have replaced a screen on.
My assumption here is Huawei will be the slowest and most expensive option. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
To answer my original question, should anyone else be asking the same, go to Setting > Smart Assistance > Touch-disabled mode.
I didn't think I had set this previously, and this 'feature' only appeared when the screen cracked. The bulk of the screen damage is just under the speaker grill and over the proximity sensor. The damage must now be confusing the sensor.

Since some weeks I am facing an increasing number of bright white spots on the screen (pls. refer to attached picture). Ok picture is not perfect, but should give an impression what I am talking about. Is anybody having the same issue with his screen.
I am wondering whether this is realated to a general quality issue or a faulty handling on my side.
Thx for your comments.
If your screen does that, perhaps it's time to get it looked at under warranty?

I am sure there are options for repair still, if the white spots bother you that much.
If it's an already replaced screen, it's probably not the best quality.
Could be adhesive.
I had a ASCEND MATE 7 for a while and after about two months got wild white patches on screen, sold it by the way and bought a new one. This new one even had brighter patches from the beginning!
Got this one replaced with MATE 8 by the warranty (yeah, they gave me the MATE 8 instead for whatever the reason!)
I'm now useing it for about 2 and half months and again I got white patches almost in middle and bottom of the screen! What the hell !?
I think this is the problem with internal batteries, as they are poor quality and after some time of use the battery's pressing against the back of the LCD ... and the whites appear
We should definitely blame Huawei for this
It's maybe because of poor quality made IPS-NEO screens used in mate series .. anyway Huawei MUST answer
mine is even worser. the device never dropped, not even a scratch around...
I was thinking of trading my 6t for the 7 pro but for those of you that have it does it have the same static charge on the screen like that 6t did? I assume it was from the in screen fingerprint sensor. Mine was a dust and hair magnet due to the static charge from the screen. So much so that I went back to my XZ2 compact. Just wondering if this device has the same issue.

I was wondering why my 7 Pro was so dusty, when my 6 was just fine.. So yeah, it seems it's still there.
