Hi,
Today when I opened my phone the standard internet search bar on my start page was gone and I checked the "add widget" thing and it was not there to add...
how do I get the search bar back on my start screen?
Hey,
maybe you just deactivated the google search. You can go into settings--> applications-->application manager and then look it up under deactivated apps.
If it is not there you should find it in the widget overview in a folder called google search.

Hey, I know there is the google search bar with voice search integrated already, but I want a widget similar the google search, but just the voice icon so it doesn't take up an entire row, and maybe turns into the entire search bar like the normal widget does. Is there anything like this out yet?

There is a shortcut button out there: ICS Voice Search Shortcut

Anyone know what happened to the Google weather page? Google implemented a weather page when you simply search for "weather" from your phone, and it displayed the current weather with a drag bar to go through different times of the day, along with forecast for the next few days.
That page doesn't show up anymore when I search for "weather". Did Google remove this? I thought it was pretty neat to have.
edit: Talking about this in particular: http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2011/01/weather-on-your-mobile-phone-now-with.html
Odd. My beautiful widget still gets it's weather updates from Google weather but you're right, the page isn't there anymore.

I am sure this has a simple solution but I am a total noob at this. I recently rooted my Samsung Mesmerize and installed Avatar ICS ROM. I downloaded the Circle Battery Widget from the Play Store. It shows up in my Apps panel instead of Widgets. I can add it to my homescreen but when I go to configure it an error pops up.
"Unable to configure, no widget has been found! Please add a widget on your home by Menu/Add/Widgets"
I have searched here and other forums and have found nothing. Can someone head me in the right direction?
Today I notices when I clicked on the weather logo on the top of the home screen which shows your the current weather. Instead of loading the weather for the location i'm at, it just loads up google search. Is anyone else noticing this.
Just had an update to Google from the app store and it's working as it should again.
Maybe a dumb question and I see a lot of people wanting the opposite but is there any way to get back the old behavior of the search bar in app drawer, so that it only searches for installed apps instead of searching the web and everything?
For "real" search I use the search bar on homescreen or assistant, but in app drawer it should only show installed apps.

You could use a third party launcher to get that functionality
