[Q] No 3G/LTE signal. only G

i have problem with my data connection. when i set the preferred network to WCDMA only and LTE only. my phone has no signal at all. i have a strong 3G connection on my other phones.
is it a baseband problem?
if it is. how to flash the correct baseband for my F350L?
or this maybe a hardware problem?

I see that you are from Manila and using a F350L please check supported bands by your network and the supported bands of F350L if they are compatible.

i did check it and it is same bands use here. there are f350L users here with no problems using their 3G connection.
My F350L is LTE-8 other F350L are LTE-A. I suspect that this two have different band

I am having the same Problem up here in Ohio
No matter what I try I can not seem to get this phone to do anything besides just G I am running the F350S on AT&T

Please look in Dialer with 5457#*350# and activate your Bands

I put the Checkmarks on the bands that AT&T Supports. But I am still only getting G

Hi folks, I am Nigerian and I use an LG G Pro (D838). Some days back i noticed that i had no network on my phone so I tried inserting another sim into the device and still got the same result but other devices around had network coverage. I changed the network mode to GSM only and got 2G but WCDMA only gives me nothing. I have tried other sims on GSM only mode and got 2G but when i change the mode to WCDMA only, i get nothing at all. Have also put it to GSM/WCDMA auto but keeps giving me just 2G network only. I have even had to downgrade the OS from android 5.0.1 to 4.4.2 as suggested by a friend and still got the same issue. Please, what should i do??????

I have the same problem in Holland. I have the F350k variant) 3G is in Holland 900/2100. The phone has despite of the advertisement text !!! by selling (900/2100) 850/1900/2100. The 2100 band is the same so should work.
Tried a lot. By the way last software and Androi 5.0.1.
The Sim is not the problem, the APN setting not, ........
any suggestions?

I bought my LG D838 on eBay in May 2015 and was quite impressed with the performance but my pride and happiness was short lived. I woke up one morning in December 2015, and noticed I didn't have any cell reception. I checked with my siblings and I seemed to be the only one who had no cell reception on the same network as theirs.
I swapped SIMS of other networks into my phone but still to no avail but funny thing was that whenever I change network mode to 2G only, I get reception but switching back to 3G only mode gave me nothing at all...this happened a few days after I updated the OS with a 50MB patch file using OTA as prompted. I have been writing to LG since then but no reply and it has frustrated me so much as I bought this phone for about USD 398 and didn't even get to use it up to a year. I managed it on 2G while trying to contact LG about it until the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stopped responding also. I need the NV and QCN backup file for this phone in order to get it running again…I would really love to see this beauty run again. Please help me out.

HELP lg g2 d801 can't connect to 3G network

Hello, I have a TMO LG G2 D801 and it can't connect to 3G networks when I set connection to 3G only it losses signals I'm on Zong carrier in Pak and my Sim is provisioned for 3G and my Wildfire S can also connect to 3G on same sim in same area also my carrier broadcasts at 2100mhz so that's not a problem as well I tried installing CM12 cuz someone told me TMO won't connect in PK but it still ain't working..............any ideas? please help :crying:

[URGENT HELP] 2G/No signal on my Nexus 5

So my Nexus 5 stopped working the other day, and I sent it for repairs. It's come back now and I got a new SIM. Airtel 4G here in New Delhi, India. The problem is, it will only show me a 2G connection/no signal at times. I don't know what to do. The SIM works in other phones perfectly well. I've tried going to *#*#4636#*#* and changing to WCDMA only. Doesn't work. What is the alternative solution guys?
The phone was bough in the USA but before it got repaired, 3G worked flawlessly. So at least that should work, if not 4G.

Hi, Airtel as I see operate in 2G (GSM, EDGE), 3G (HSPA+) and 4G (TD-LTE band 40). But Nexus 5 (USA model) D820 doesn't support TD-LTE (band 40), so for sure you can't connect to 4G. But 2G and 3G should be ok. You can reset network settings and check again.

Yes. 3G should work at least. But it isn't and that's the problem. Before repairing it, it used to work with my mom's Vodafone 3G connection. What's the solution here?

Can you try to restart and after that change to "GSM auto (PRL)" from *#*#4636#*#* menu? Are you tested other device with this SIM in the same location ?

Tried that. With no luck. I changed it to GSM auto (PRL) and stayed on that menu. Still showing E with full signal strength.

Any idea guys?

i had this problem on my d821 eu version in algeria same problem as you sometimes i got 3g but no lte :/ it got boring so i sold it tried every rom on every android version official and unofficial diffrent radios and basebands it just doesnt work you should say goodbye to it sorry

Now i am unable to use 4g data services on the phone.
when i insert My gsm card in the phone , i see following NETWORK MODES
1. CDMA

4. AUTOMATIC
I have selected automatic.
my phone gets network and i can make n receive calls.
but can not use my 4g data service.
however 3g service works , and i can see 3g written on top.
where as in my indian note 5 , when i use 3g , its written H+ . and when using 4g , its written 4g on top

Its running on android 6.0 , when i tried to update it , it says "Device has been modified in unauthorized way. try update via smart switch on pc or take to service center"

You need to find out what lte bands your carrier uses. And make sure they are comptible with the sprint varients lte bands.

If what I've read is correct, Sprint Note 5s have the same hardware and radio band capability as the international version. So a hack or something should be possible. But how or what is way beyond me.

Now i want to flash its stock firmware via odin, so i can use it again./
- does flashing it to stock n920P firmware will unlock the device? or it will remian sim unlocked?
- where can i find stock firmware?

Ive checked the band with *#2263# band set to automatic and hpsa-rel9 sounds like ok but why the hell phone still is on 2g network when enabling data.

verify that you are in a location that gets a good signal and that it says you get 4g lte data. then goto connection settings>mobile networks and tap on network mode and choose the option in the screenshot. if it doesnt change do a factory reset. if that fails either get the stock rom from sammobile and flash it with odin or call samsung for a replacement. also verify that theres no upgrades or problems in your area by calling customer care and that your house doesnt limit your signal. my house sometimes limits mine due to it being metal all around. in that case putting your phone in a window fixes it. if you want to avoid that contact tmobile to get a signal booster for your house. update: in the *#2263# menu make sure to choose reset on both LTE and WCDMA in disable band.

After I root, unlock the phone.

It will only show 2G networks.

This phone doesn't have certain bands asia uses. you may need to buy the sm-j327u (samsungs unlocked version of this phone that can work on cdma and gsm carriers.) the sm-j327t1 was designed for the united states.

to fix this problem install (Force Lte Only).apk from play store go to phone information>Network mode>Select WCDMA ONLY!
it will fix the problem as well as you'll have all option enable i the network mode!

Need some help here, still stuck on 2G. Though I don't have a T-mobile sim card, the device is said to be unlocked (by @ashyx ), so I want to use my sim card. So what am I supposed to do (I've tried everything listed here so far, no luck)?

Have you checked which bands your network supports against the bands your device supports?
You may have to open the network settings and modify the bands if possible.
Also which firmware are you running, you may need to flash the modem from the orange firmware?

Suffering with the same issue
??????? it's been almost 2 years that I'm suffering with the same problem I bought this mobile in June 2017 in LA then I came back to my country in Africa I'm suffering I've never get 3g here but in USA even LTE was running. It's a piss of loss this mobile. We have to ask Samsung to recall it.
