How to install... Better instructions here for novice..
1. Install the recovery .img
2. Use "Recovery Manager" apk to install this recovery...
3. on your sdcard there will be a folder "recoveryy" (note 'yy'), place this recover image in that folder.
4. Install from "recovery manager".
Alternative...
You can use "Android downloader" tool to directly flash the recovery...
Purpose of this recovery...... I can see only few... To clarify others doubt...
1. We can utilize latest format of updater/update scripts... while flashing....
2. It does backup of sd-ext also.. not sure if u hv observed for v2.5 or not...
3. Better and faster....
4. Most important... A recovery have nothing to do with any ROM... so it's 2.1 or 2.2 or 2.3... Its sole purpose is to backup the partition

For those who are using the recovery for first time
1. Root ur phone. check here
2. install busybox from market.
3. Install "recovery manager".. check there is a "recoveryy" folder on ur sd card is created.
4. Download the latest recovery or the v2.5 recovery.. links on my signature..
5. place the downloaded recovery in "recoveryy" folder and flash it via recovery manager..
For those recovery 5 isn't work.. try v2.5 recovery first..
Follow the instruction carefully...
A better way of doing this on the way.. stay tuned...

Sorry for d delay friends......
I did tested things.. nd all work fine.. jst usb toggle isn't work this time again..
it's detecting my sd-ext partition too... since i don't hv anything on sd-ext not sure if it will take backup.. for first few test it hvn't created any backup...
so just wanted to double sure before i post here.. that you guys don't loose ur valuable data of sd-ext..
so please b patient...

@ngage_me-yes you did that again by making a new recovery as u made earlier, just one bug as you said in the mount corner except everything is fine........

confirmed successful flashing with android download tool on micromax a60.

Stuck at Micromax Screen
I installed the recovery from Recovery Manager App.
Now I get stuck at the Micromax Boot Screen whenever I try to enter recovery.

@ngage_me Yours Eclair recovery is working but Froyo one is giving error in Android Download Tool and when installed through recovery manager, it is stuck in micromax logo.
Note:- In Eclairs recovery , the kernel version of froyo (in About) is not changing and everything is working.

OK cool!!! seems u messed of few things...
Try factory reset from recovery....
else
follow this... (2.1 original rom)
1. download full dump, link available in signature..
2. In case Android tool is detecting ur phone gr888.. just flash all the image available in the zip... MAKE SURE U HIG ERASE CHECK BOX WHILE FLASHING..., else first install the usb driver available in zip...
3. then repeat the step 2.
i sure ur phone will be back on working.... u can directly flash this recovery instead of using stock recovery from zip...
later u hv all options to using ny other rom...

which rom are you on.... in case froyo recovery hv problem i want to stop my Claro frnds to flash before i fix up the things....
It won't change anything in About... cauz that purely depends on boot.img and so not to worry...

@ngage_me I am using Jet 2.1 (froyo one) and yours froyo recovery is not working (not installing through ARM 11 and if installed using recovery manager it stucks in micromax logo when going into recovery), but eclair recovery is working I have taken backup from it and everything sceems fine even sd-ext was backedup.

I successfully installed the [IndiAndroid](http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000453&page=7) through CWM (it showed the words successful and completed) but now when I boot into normal mode it just hangs at the start screen "SUPERFONE CANVAS 2".
I don't know how else to get to the recovery mode for this phone [Micromax a110] except through MobileUncle app but the phone won't start. Any help appreciated...

Go into recovery mode by first switching off your device. Then press volume up, down and power button all together to go into recovery when light flashes. Then you can try flashing stock rom and see what happens after that

Hey Just Go to Recovery Mode Again and Do a Data Reset...
Thats all..

If you have bricked your phone you can flash it using sp flash tool with the stock rom.

sorry if have done anything wrong by starting or posting in wrong thread.......really apologies for that...
I have purchased micromax a110 and every thing was fine with that phone.i even flashed it to v2 ROM and things were fine even then(only problem i observed was with display having light faded up images of previous things displayed....don't know but feel may be due to screen refresh rate)
Yesterday i happened to find [MICROMAX A110] ROM of Mobistel Cynus T2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2060482
did as things were mentioned in post and everything was good and smooth
i then thought of reverting back to V2 ROM and flashed A110 with Sp flash tool,flashed correctly and phone was running normally........but i saw the options in sp flash tool and selected memory test option and selected all options and started the test after test finished i was not able to start the phone........ i then again flashed with v2 ROM and it started but iam getting invalid imei and NVram warning as WiFi network please help me to resolve this ......phones working properly but shows imei invalid and WiFi network i tried to root but cant even root the phone now

ALL THE ABOVE METHODS DONT WORK!! I Bricked my phone to..so read on!!
Okay so here is what you have to do!!
1.Flash yourself into CWM recovery& create a backup of your file data as this method will erase everything!!
2.Enter into Advanced options>Mount SD card
3.Copy whichever ROM package you have pre-installed into the SD CARD which is mounted(In my case RADEON ROM*)
And now go to Install option from SD Card>Radeon Rom..and Voila its back from the DEAD!!
P.S: Backup is 100%essential & I'm not liable if you do not backup your data using CWM

Bricked a110
Guyz, i recently installed CWM on my a110, but somhow while testing the features, i installed 12 mp patch and rebooted the phone. But it got stuck on the boot screen. And then i again went to CWM and done all this:
Fomat Data
Format System
Format Cache
And now its just hanged on to boot screen and am afraid that i have just done the biggest mistake.
Any help will be very thankful..

U need to flash whole stock rom either Jelly bean or kitkat as u like.
Xolo Q3000 KK S007 27-05-2014.zip
q3000 stock jb 4.2 s011.7z
download one of above as per ur chioce.
extract it in folder.
download sp flash tools.
Extract it in a folder.
Start sptools.exe
choose scatter loading.
select scatter file from above downloaded firmware folder.
select firmware upgrade.
press download
connect ur mobile in switch off condition.
wait till green circle appears.
Start u mobile.
U need drivers installed before the procedure.

Just explain each step u doing from the very beginning?
Have u selected firmware upgrade option??

My phone was dead after I formatted with option of "format all + download " in sp tool:crying:
was using "PXZ2-4.3.5-q3000 working" and tried to flash "Xolo Q3000 KK S007 27-05-2014" but i think the process was not successful :crying: and now my phone behave like hard brick but it still recognize by pc without battery but usb port disappear frequently ..
I found 1 solution .. can any one upload backup rom of q3000 using "MTK droid tools" please please please .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447431&page=5 avi3230 bro ... can you make attachment like in this link of preloder and scatter file for q3ooo?

Just flash the "Xolo Q3000 KK S007 27-05-2014" firmware as normal, everything will be fine.
Just select firmware upgrade option.
These files are all base files including preloader and scatter ok.
Ur error is cause u formatted preloader , just restore preloader ur phone will boot. :good::good:
If still u cant do it, just PM me.

tired windows 8.1 32bit & 64 bit, windows 7 32bit with administrative right

In windows 7, install 32 bit drivers, download so flash tool from mtk's official site and flash stock job if ur phone u received with jb ROM else flash kk rom. Flash phone without battery, sim n memory card. Also before flashing, connect our phone with battery inserted and power on. Look whether driver is installed. Drivers to install: mobistel cynus, vcom, pdanet and adb drivers.

Well, i was using HNY 15 series ROM(rooted)... and My battery was a bit low .... and the rom had fair number of ISSUES and BUGS ... so i booted into recovery mode and tried to instal a backup to RESTORE the stock version of android, I was using before .... it failed to complete that and got bricked .....
Every tym i started the phone it got stuck in boot loop .... I tried to flash the stock rom (2 -3 times) ( which i flashed before and was using it )...
BUT NO LUCK ... it did the same bootloop thing ...I tried to enter custom recovery (after flashing philz recovery immediately after flashing the rom )...it worrked 2-3 times but after then, no luck , i wasn't able to boot into recovery also ...
SO I got fed-up and made A "WHOLE FORMAT FLASH" (using sp flash tools) ....
After that my device was detected as UNKNOWN DEVICE ... then i searched the forums and was able to install drivers FOR WINDOWS 8......
and i was able to flash again .... later i tried the rom " XOLO Q3000 KK S007 27-05-2014" and stock rom from some website (the one which i was using before)
and one more "XOLO Q3000 S003 15102013" both the first and last roms were given by (xda xolo q3000 member .... i dont remember his name .. but i guess you know him)
1 out of 5 times i am able to get into recovery mode (after flashing custom recovery ) ..... once in CR mode I tried to format INTERNAL SD and it showed " "ERROR : unable to format internal storage "
AND i did a memory test also and everything was good except ERROR: NAND FLASH NOT FOUND .....

How u flashing this recovery...???
Use mobile uncle tool...
It needs root and then place the recovery in sdcard after renaming It to recovery.img and then open Mobil uncle tool and select install recovery from sdcard and then select the recovery file...
Wait some time and your recovery will work now...
And I want to know that on which android version u r?? Kitkat or jelly bean???

How u flashing this recovery...???
Use mobile uncle tool...
It needs root and then place the recovery in sdcard after renaming It to recovery.img and then open Mobil uncle tool and select install recovery from sdcard and then select the recovery file...
Wait some time and your recovery will work now...
And I want to know that on which android version u r?? Kitkat or jelly bean???

Hey Thanks for reply, i resolved that issue by trying to turn on the phone by usb power, phone boots up normally but without any signal both sims are properly inserted but no signal (may be IMEI issue) how to resolve it???. ( procedure i followed for previous attempt, i am currently on JellyBean my stock android version(people say Mi509 come with KITKAT out of box but its not in case of my phone. i followed your procedure as it is, downloaded attachment and MobileUncle apk installed that apk , opened that uncle and selected recovery update and it automatically restarted.)

now i know that my standard Android Recovery was OVERWRITTEN by custom recovery and i DIDNT backup my stock recovery . what should i do. ( i read something about EFS partition which contains IMEI info which was corrupted by custom recovery i believe ). and also please send me backup of recovery partition (or EFS) to me @ [email protected] i will set my own IMEI nos using Enginering Mode apk . this is my only phone please help me

thats why i was asking about android version....
bcoz all roms and recovery available for MI509 uses KITKAT kernel and you flashed it on Jellybean...

If your device I bricked then just flash stock firmware using sp flash tool...if you don't know how to ...
Then give it to service centre but don't tell them about rooting and flashing custom rom...
Bcoz if you tell them then they will cost you money...

Hey "Saurabh" you didddit. i tried using SPFTool and its working i was able to get my imei nos also(but it took me two days to figure it out). NOW how do i upgrade my mobile to KITKAT do you have that rom. can you please send me that link(stock rom).

download the stock rom from xda firmware site and then use flashtool in that zip to install the firmware in your mi509...it will boot... but u will lost your apps installed earlier...

flashtool will work on your pc and laptop...
download firmware and then install drivers given in it in your pc then open your flashtool and load bootloader...
now connect your device to pc via data cable with or without battery ...
then click on download button in flashtool and press vol down on device.
then update will start..

Instalation guide for xpress 2 5.1
NOTE-files are flashable from sp flash tools so u hv to be on pc
..download the firmware rar file nd xtract it with winrar in ur pc
..after extracting u will get folder (firmware 5.1 mmx e313 unlocked)
..then download mt65xx preloader driver for ur pc with suitable window u hv(google mt65xx preloader driver)
..or else u can use dirvers in the folder (Android CDC Driver) if u know how to install it
..after installing the driver u r ready to flash ur firmware
..now open the folder(SP Flash Tool v5.1516) and open the flash_tool.exe
..now click on scatter-loading nad then a new window will open,in this popup window go to the folder (firmware 5.1 mmx e313 unlocked) and inside the folder u will see the folder firmware and open it n there u will see the file MT6592_Android_scatter.txt
..now select it nd hit enter...
the files will be loaded in flashtool so now click on download nd then remove battry of ur phone and conect it to pc
..if u hv installed acurate drivers then flashing will be start
..after complete u will get green logo with download complete
..remove the usb from phone and insert battry nd hold the power+volume up botons (neccesory step) for 10 seconds
..when phone will power on u will gwt weared logo(due to unlocked bootloader nd after some seconds the recovery will be open
..into the philiz recovery tap on (wipe and format option) and then (factory reset) then yes now its formating ur data n cache (neccesory point to do)
..it will take upto 2 minutes so dont panic...wait for complete and then go back nd reboot ur phone
..again weared logo will apear nd in few seconds micromax logo eill be apear n it will stay about 15 seconds so wait and dont pull out battry...just wait...after this the canvas logo will apear so now ur phone is booting but wait it will still take about 10 minutes to first boot so dont painic nd drink some cold water n wait for boot..finaly after 10 minutes of boot it will show u welcome screen,.
..now configure it as u want, the official 5.1 lolipop is now on ur device

But flashing did not start ??

Has anyone tried flashing it...is this ROM working...?? Can u upload some screenshot but thanks for the rom

I flashed it... everything is working fine, except a problem i faced, that is, the ext sdcard is not writable for some apps.. all of the data goes to internal memory, even though the default storage selected from the settings is the ext sd!! Also the error shown in the applications while selecting ext SD is *this storage is not writable*
help me out with this, please...

I have flashed it yesterday and it works well.
But the phone became unrooted and I could not find a way to root it again.
I don't know how to upload screenshots... When I try to insert image xda...asks for the url of the image

Using recovery, flash supersu.zip v2.46, keeping it in the root of ur ext sd

the sp flash tool is taking lot of time to begin the flashing process. how much time do it take to start the process?

On my 10yr old pc wid defective USB ports it took atleast 10 mins to start the process aftr properly installing the drivers... Thn actual flashing took around 10 more mins..
Thn comes actual booting of the fone which takes ages.. and i felt for a few mins tht i bricked my fone... but atlast, it finally booted!!

yeah flashed it,but i forgot to format the data and cache and now its taking time to show the welcome screen. Did I brick it?

Then remove the battery now, reboot to recovery and complete factory resetting step now.

Everythng works fine except rooting.After roooting and when i open super su ..it shows ...no su binary installed and super su cannot install it..help me please..

Flashing was successful. It works well. But my phone became unrooted. Please suggest a way to root the phone after flashing 5.1.
