Hey !
You must downgrade to .77 (kitkat 4.4.4) before. Check on google, there's many threads for this.

Wrong section this should be posted in the Q&A section

hey that was very helpful. found a way to root the device in 4.4.4 and get it back to 5.0.2 without losing root. thanks :good:

[Q] FTF File needed!

(It's my first thread here so forgive me for any errors or unspoken rules that I have broken )
Hello XDA! Today I have come seeking help.
I own a D2303 M2 with a locked bootloader without root sitting on Kk 4.4.2,and I want to downgrade to 4.3 so I can hopefully use towelroot to root.
Here comes the main problem/question:
I'm running the on the UK exclusive 'EE' network. If I flash a stock ROM with the wrong carrier, will I be kicked off of my carrier network? I can't seem to find a 4.3 ROM that begins with the build number 18.3.C and EE to stay on the safe side. If anyone could upload or point me in the general direction of one, that would be great!
Thanks in advance, (hopefully)

Please advise me .. with repest to all
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I've found this with someone with the same problem and a solution, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/help/failing-ota-update-unroot-108-t2801833. Since Android 5.x you have to be 100% stock system, recovery, and kernel for the OTA to work.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy A3 Help Downgrade 5.0.2 to 4.4.4

Hi all... i have a problem with my Galaxy A3 (SM-A300FU) Let me explane and i hope you can help me:
Few months ago i decided to root my SM-A300FU running android 4.4.4 and all worked so i enjoyed my rooted device with no problems...
Then i decided to update my phone to lollipop just to see how it works but when i tried to root lollipop (using cf auto root for a300fu but for 4.4.4 bec for 5.0.2 it doesn't exist) it started the first time but when i rebooted my phone it stopped working, i mean it's stuck on samsung screen, or worst stuck on a strange yellow "sand screen"... so i reinstalled lollipop normally and started to use it without root waiting for a cf auto root for 5.0.2... some days ago i thought that i could downgrade to 4.4.4 and be able to re root my device so i downloaded stock firmware for my a3 from sammobile.com
but when i tried to flash it (always with odin running administrator) it just stuck at samsung loading screen
I can reflash lollipop and all restart working but i can't root 5.0.2 so i want to downgrade to stock 4.4.4 and i can't!
I'm getting crazy on it trying to flash it tons of times but it don't wanna work... I hope you can help me downgrading this phone!
PS: model code: SM-A300FU build version: LRX22G.A300FUXXU1BOEC

well is there a reason to downgrade to 4.4.4 now that you can get root on 5.0.2?
Anyway if you still want to downgrade, head over to Android's Q&A Section since there's no dedicated forum for your device, and ask your question there
I hooe I have helped you!

[Completed] Galaxy S5 Active HELP!

Although I couldn't find any root methods for my galaxy S5 active I seen something about downgrading it to 4.4.2 to use towelroot. I ran into an internet problem trying to download the firmware, fixed that. Then Odin started having problems before it started downgrading. Is it possible to downgrade? Its running the OF3 bootloader and after doing some research I found some people saying it's locked and impossible to downgrade. So is it possible To downgrade a SM-G870A running the 5.0 lollipop update with the OF3 bootloader? Or is there some kind of root available for it? Or even someway to unlock the bootloader without losing all my data? I've been trying to figure something out for 3 days straight now.
Thanks.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
After reading this thread, it seems that you can't downgrade to Kitkat.
Please feel free to open a new thread in your dedicated Q&A forum. New solutions may have been found...
Good luck!

Please help (Z3v android upgrade)

Hello everyone
I'm now using xperia z3v
My device is now running android 4.4.4
I want to upgrade it to Lolipop 5.0
Can anyone help me to upgrade it ?
Thanks
If you are having good luck with 4.4.4 i would stay with it.
I upgraded to the leaked 5.0 and had a lot of problems with wifi speeds, some random reboots, and some other quirky things. That is just my opinion though.

Now that I am in lollipop I am not having problems, but there were a few steps along the way where I was stuck or thought I bricked my phone. Not worth the drama or hassle for lollipop. And I'm one of the ones who always wants the most up-to-date of anything.
