Hello everyone
I'm now using xperia z3v
My device is now running android 4.4.4
I want to upgrade it to Lolipop 5.0
Can anyone help me to upgrade it ?
Thanks
If you are having good luck with 4.4.4 i would stay with it.
I upgraded to the leaked 5.0 and had a lot of problems with wifi speeds, some random reboots, and some other quirky things. That is just my opinion though.

Now that I am in lollipop I am not having problems, but there were a few steps along the way where I was stuck or thought I bricked my phone. Not worth the drama or hassle for lollipop. And I'm one of the ones who always wants the most up-to-date of anything.

Hello guys,
I just rootet my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 running 4.1.2 Android from AT&T model i497.
Reading through many threads here I could not find a ROM to upgrade this to Kitkat 4.4.2. Is there an upgrade?
I should also point out that I would be totally OK using any ROM as this Tablet will not use any phone line from AT&T going forward. It will be mounted on the wall for Home Automation with just Wifi. So killing the AT&T crap software and giving me simple KitKat would be totally ok.
Any help guys here?
Thanks in advance.
No luck

Doesn't look like anybody is working on this.
Let me phrase the question then differently. The I497 is from AT&T. The same or similar hardware is also provided by other phone companies or even better there are same or similar hardware versions out there without the mobile SIM card option going with simply WiFi.
Does anybody know which KitKat ROM I can install on my I497 to get it from Jellybean to KitKat even if that means I will have a Vanilla KitKat and also might loose my SIM card option? I just need WiFi on that tablet and that's it.
I am open for suggestions guys. Thanks.
I'm also wondering as well

Any answers yet?
Hi, I'm upgrading from Xperia SP to Xperia Z3. When I get it, it will probably still be on KitKat and I've heard about problems with the Lollipop update for this phone.
So do I stay on KitKat or update?
Note: I want to stay on stock - at least for the first few months
Also, is there anything else I should know about the phone?
Thank you
Not any issue with KK. No reason to upgrade

I have been pouring through fourms for about a week, trying to figure out if it is possible to root my tablet and install Cyanogenmod on it. So far I have not had very good luck with any of the methods that I have found. There is a stable snapshot, along with nightly's for this tablet, so there has to be a way that it can be done. Any help would be appreciated.
Tablet specs:
LG-V410 running on AT&T
currently on Android 5.0.2 lollipop
I am happy to provide anything else that might be needed.

I've tried it using Purple Drake, I fails out at the beginning and just reboots the tablet. I have tried several methods that have also said that my device isn't compatible somehow. I'm wondering if it might be because it just recently updated to android 5.0.2 Lollipop. I liked the tablet until it updated, and now it runs slow as crap, and won't update apps properly.
Hi all... i have a problem with my Galaxy A3 (SM-A300FU) Let me explane and i hope you can help me:
Few months ago i decided to root my SM-A300FU running android 4.4.4 and all worked so i enjoyed my rooted device with no problems...
Then i decided to update my phone to lollipop just to see how it works but when i tried to root lollipop (using cf auto root for a300fu but for 4.4.4 bec for 5.0.2 it doesn't exist) it started the first time but when i rebooted my phone it stopped working, i mean it's stuck on samsung screen, or worst stuck on a strange yellow "sand screen"... so i reinstalled lollipop normally and started to use it without root waiting for a cf auto root for 5.0.2... some days ago i thought that i could downgrade to 4.4.4 and be able to re root my device so i downloaded stock firmware for my a3 from sammobile.com
but when i tried to flash it (always with odin running administrator) it just stuck at samsung loading screen
I can reflash lollipop and all restart working but i can't root 5.0.2 so i want to downgrade to stock 4.4.4 and i can't!
I'm getting crazy on it trying to flash it tons of times but it don't wanna work... I hope you can help me downgrading this phone!
PS: model code: SM-A300FU build version: LRX22G.A300FUXXU1BOEC

well is there a reason to downgrade to 4.4.4 now that you can get root on 5.0.2?
Anyway if you still want to downgrade, head over to Android's Q&A Section since there's no dedicated forum for your device, and ask your question there
I hooe I have helped you!

Hi I have a sony z3 compact D5803 and I recently done the lollipop 5.1.1 update (build number 23.4.A.0.546) since I have done the up date my camera will only focus on things real close like on the hairs on my arm, It wont focus on the person sitting next to me or things that are any more than a few inches away. My up button on my volume has also stopped working I'm guessing these are related in the problem as the update was supost to upgrade the camera and the volume settings I think. Is there a quick fix to this or do I need to downgrade to KitKat 4.4.4 or lollipop 5.0 witch I think I was on. My laptop is running windows 10 dose the flash tool install on that and will it work ok and where can I find the firm ware for the downgrades if I need to do them. I'm new to this site and any help will be great

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact at http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!
