I am using s5 rom by santosh. I am facing one problem that the 3 capacitive buttons backlight remains on till screen on. Earlier it used to get off after 5sec but not now.
So is it possible to install the same rom again without losing all my data? So that i dont have to install all apps again.
I have tried changing with gravity box but to no use.
Pls help someone.

Ever since i installed Serenity on my phone and now have switched back to kyrillos' v10.5 cm7 my touchscreen does not respond sometimes.
the phone vibrates and the keyboard comes up and touch does not happen.
Even the capacitive buttons dont work.
But the system and hard buttons work.
The problem goes away after locking the screen and the unlocking it but comes again after some time.
Please HELP!!
What should i do?

Maybe it's ROM problem. Try to flash eclair or froyo ROM

If your lock screen cant be unlocked then a simple re flash will help you.
Also it looks like your phone is not responding so do check the cached processes under settings. It is possible to have such problems if your phone is low on memory
Try rebooting the phone and if it does not help flash another ROM

Don't worry it ain't a big problem I had same kind problems.....it's just coz of system overloading....just move Ur apps to sd or ext-sd if u have a partitioned sd card use link2sd or app2sd frm the market...in addition use task killer or fast reboot app once in a while this will remove all Ur problems....

REPORT BUGS OF ALL CUSTOM ROMS
Guys report bugs of custom roms here so devs can solve and shortout.
Post bug with custom rom name with its version.
And explain your problem clearly so dev can understand it by seeing one time without asking you again.

version 1.2 and the problem still occurs even after applying patch
In sgalaxy v2 when I tried to install xposed framework for the first time it installed and phone booted up properly but it always restarted in 2-3 min so I disabled it from recovery....
And now when I am trying to install it again it is causing bootloop any help please????

hello xda developers, i have a issue regarding oneplus 7 pro, I installed pixel experience rom, it worked very well for 2 day, then I rooted it, after 1 day of rooting while scrolling through Instagram my device crash and stopped working, it doesn't turn on normally, it goes to fast boot mode from their also it just turn on the oneplus bootup screen and shows a pixaleted (shown in photo and video) screen and automatically switch off. i have tried to factory reset from recovery and also re-install the rom but still same response. what should i do?
Yesterday, tried to upgrade from original 4.12 to CM10.2, then found the camera did not work , so flashed back to original 4.12 , and tried Twrp Chinese version ( the screen is weird , like the menu is on the right side, but the touch screen actually works on the left a little bit), too hard to use , have to come back to CWM 6.0.3.2, and tried to upgrade to 4.42, while pressing the power and volume down buttons, the screen just showed :" sdcard mode , .......about another 3 rows, slowly blinking, then nothing on the screen. It was ttl dead since yesterday. Anyone who can help on this , do I need to jtag the emmc ? but the problem is ,among N8000,8010,8013,8020 models , which one can be used for I925u? Anyone who has the spec for I925u emmc ?

I have the Galaxy Fame DUOS GT-S6812B variant, I installed the Unofficial CM11 from this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-fame/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod11-t2897673), and suddenly touch screen and capacitive buttons weren't working. I tried to install back the official stock rom with Odin and I had the same problem (which I didn't have before installing the CM11) after this I tried to install the stock rom with Kies and same thing. Phone loads the OS and shows the "select language" menu but screen is unresponsive and "menu" and "back" buttons don't work at all, not even light up. Only power button, "volume buttons" and "home" work. I'm getting kind of desperate, a relative gave me the phone so I could make it faster and smoother and instead I've broken it. Please, some help would be highly appreciated. I think the problem might be that installing the CM11 messed up with the Drivers and flashing back the stock couldn't fix that. Is there any way to revert the process and get the drivers back?

I've got an answer in another forum saying it could be the kernel, but, wouldn't the stock ROM had solved that? in case it wouldn't how can I install the original kernel and thus fix this issue?.

Nothings gonna work...trust me i have tried everything...your touchscreen got fried up. The only thing you can do is get it to a nearby samsung store or any nearby mobile repairing store to get a brand new touchscreen. I recommend you to not go to samsung store as it would cost you almost rs.2500 whereas if you go to any other repairing store you can get it fixed in less than rs.1000.
I have a rooted 5113 running Android 4.1.1. Haven't used it for a long time and have not installed a custom rom. Kernel number is 3.0.31-523998. Whenever the screen times out, the tab 2 turns off, and I have to hit the power button button and the volume button at the same time to restart it. Does anyone have any idea as to how, I can prevent the tab from turning off when the screen times out.
Also, my ultimate goal is to upgrade to KitKat so that I will have mirroring. If I install KItKat, is that likely to get rid of the shut off problem. Thanks for any help that can be provided. Should and that I have Titanium Pro.

you should upgrade the tab to the latest stock jb rom 4.2.2, then try the custom rom, the tab has reached to marshmallow, you can try kitkat, LP and M. they are all pretty much stable than the stock. not every Rom supports mirroring.

Thanks for your reply. With the kludge of a system that I have, I decided to use factory reset. That solved the time out problem. Now, I will attempt to re-root it.
