Hey all, This might be a very dumb question, but still:
I have a MID (Mobile Internet Device) with an ARM11 CPU running Windows CE 6.
I've also read a few things about (samsung) MIDs with the same CPU running Windows Mobile 6.1
So my question: In your opinion: Would it be possible to create a rom for this device? (and if so, could anyone give me some pointers about where to start?)

i just stay in China and bought the "Diamond Double King" T5353 Dual OS.
My Problem is i come from Germany and the WiMo 6.5 is only in chinese.
Maybe someone of you knows this Mobilephone and can help me to get a english or german ROM

If nobody can help me i try to help myself . Today my wife speak long time with the shop and i got the english and german rom for update. I havent update the phone because i havent a TF Card with 1GB or less so i bought one today and and hope tomorrow they will send it to me.
Maybe someone can help me with a different questions.
These files i got from the shop for update
BootImage.nb0, CONVERT.BIN, EBOOT.BIN, fdesc.cnf,
LOGO.BIN und OBM.BIN.
Can i use these files to make a custom rom? if yes how i can make it ?

it seems that you have bought one of theose chinese super clone phones. im not an expert but try to find out what type of image file is used for flashing, nbh, bin, nb0.... there's a lot, and judging by the processor (marvell) most likely to be arm based and most likely comes under the PXA series processor. different device has different ways to be flashed, and different ways for the roms to be cooked. might want to check the chinese forums as these devices usually being produced "underground" and support only comes direct from the manufacturers. i know my answer does not help but you might want to be careful and not brick your phone.

WM 6.5 in a file called CONVERT.BIN
is detailed in the file fdesc.cnf, open it and read it

I just read that for dev unlocking you need to download dev tools from MS and its pretty big at 3gb.
I am not sure if can do that successfully with a reliance netconnect dongle here at my place (india/pune).
Can anyone help me out with burning a DVD of the same i can personally collect the same from pune/mumbai OR point me where i can buy the same online or offline ?

got to say firs that ive been looking through this page and the net for the answer and cant find it. thats why im posting.
the situation is: i have a Toshiba portege 810 device, with window mobile, i dont like windows mobile, im trying to run a different SO (linux was y first aim)
for what i learned, the best way to boot an alternative SO would be with Haret app, everything looks great, still i cant make haret boot anything, it looks like its workin, loads a bar, and then the phone freezes. i think the problem is the startup.txt where the settings are. probably just a line would make it work.

i bought this kind of tablet : RK2918 9.7inch Tablet-Pc. a few days ago and there some few thing i need your help with.
1. the tablet come with an separate charge and when i put him on the my computer he doesn't charge the tablet (unlike other tablets), why it that? is there a way to make it charge from my PC also?
2.when i connected the tablet to my PC he didn't find the drivers, where can i find the right drivers from this tablet?
3.the most annoying problem i see in the internet that most of the store sell this tablet with android 4.0 on them. but my tablet come with 2.3.1 android, can any one send me a link to a upgrade? or any kind of assistance for this problem....
