Google Search starts slowly on CM11 - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I hid the search bar on Trebuchet. Google Now is disabled, tool. When I swipe up from the home button to open the Google search, it takes one or two seconds (which is really long in daily use) until the search window appears. When I repeat this shortly after, it starts instantly. I seems to be still loaded in RAM or something.
I remember the search window opened always instantly sometime ago. Has there been an update? Or does anybody know how to run Google search in the Background without the search bar? Or can someon verify this behaviour on his Nexus at least?

Touchless controls not opening apps

So usually touchless controls works to open apps, but after the latest update it very rarely does and usually requires uninstall and reinstall to get it to work once then it quits working again. The most I get is the app google play card with a big fat "Google Play" button instead of the blue loading bar that will eventually open the app. Also some apps like Pandora go to the end of the loading bar and do nothing, as well clicking "open" does nothing on that either. Anyone else with these issues?
Never got that to work for me.
I have no problem. I use it to open ingress while driving. i use the phrase "open app" then the name of the app
I've tried to get pandora to open and it goes as far as saying "opening app..." the blue line starts and finishes and then ....nothing.

Bugreport + Google Now

I have two problems:
a) i get bug-reports out of nowhere from time to time. No problem with any apps, everything works fine, but then i get a bugreport-notification that i can send via email or something else. I think i found out how to disable this, i turned on and off the debugging feature. But i never used this before, so why did this happen?
b) sometimes on my homescreen i can't do anything because the google now bar is activated. I have to touch the bar on the bottom and sometimes even have to open google now to use my homescreen again. I already disabled the google now shortcut with an app from the store, but this does not helf, the spotted ring is still coming up. Any help? Maybe a problem with my screen or with my display-foil?

Google keyboard in Chrome missing suggestion bar (it's present in other apps)

So I've just got a new Motorola Moto G and I'm having an issue which is really frustrating. The suggestion bar above the keyboard that gives you alternate word options for what you've typed isn't visible in Chrome. It appears in the messaging app, and in some others I've tested like Google Keep, but not in the web browser.
It was there when I powered on the phone for the first time, then it vanished. I couldn't work out how to get it back, so I did a factory reset. That fixed it for about thirty minutes, but now it's gone again.
I've also just noticed that after I finish typing something in Chrome and hit enter, the bar appears for a fraction of a second as the keyboard closes, leading me to believe it's there but isn't appearing on screen.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks

Google search keeps closing - driving me insane

Currently on Nitrogen OS for Nexus 6. I've been having an issue where I will hold the home button down to pull up search, tap on the search bar to bring up the keyboard, and within a few seconds the search bar clears itself and closes the keyboard. I made a screen recording to show you the issue in action. The first instance I don't type anything, just wait, and it closes itself. The second time I started typing and it happens again. So basically every time I open search I have to tap the search bar, wait for the keyboard to close, then tap the search bar again, then it works... until i need to search something else.
Here is the recording of the issue in action
I've posted this issue in multiple places and nobody knows the answer. Some people have said they've experienced this issue while on stock and with other mods installed and on different phones. No idea how to figure out what exactly is causing this.
And here is a logcat of the crash.

Googling has turned up no results

Not saving google settings in Samsung's browser.

I've been experiencing an issue since the Pie update. My home page is google.com. I scroll down to the settings at the bottom (I'm signed out) and under search history, I check off "Do not save searches". This randomly changes itself back to the default settings. Nothing seems to trigger it. Sometimes it will be the next time I open the browser, sometimes it will be after a few uses. Sometimes it will even show recent searches, and I go back to the settings and "Do not save searches" is STILL checked off. Most times it's checked "Save searches" though.
I've tried logging into my google account, and doing it that way. Recent search history is paused, but I still experience the issue where when I click the search bar, it shows my recent searches. This isn't 100% of the time, but at least 50% of the time anyway. It's annoying. I've already searched that stuff, I don't need to search it again. I've cleared the cache for the app, the data, etc. Nothing seems to be permanently make these settings stick. Anyone else experiencing this? I swear I had this problem in the past, and there was a fix for it, but everything I've come up with so far tells me to either log into my google account and freeze search history, or just disable it using the method I'm using. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.
Thanks
