Since this was my first install of a glass screen protector, I didn't know what to expect. I was glad to find out that the install process seemed easier than any InvisibleSHIELD I've done in the past. The results are great so far. No bubbles and the screen is beautiful.
I have tons of cases laying around so I'll add to this post and give a run down of how things go.
Verified OKAY
Spigen Slim Armor
Incipio DualPro SHINE (a little tight... place 1st layer on perfectly before slipping into outer layer)
Speck CandyShell
Trident Aegis Series (doesn't fit 100% perfectly on top edges... still okay)
Not Working
Seidio SURFACE (aka Platinum / PT Best Buy Case) - Will not close completely.

Just picked up the Spider GLAS. Trying screen protector which is thinner than the GLAS. t. Couldn't be happier with the case, plus it doesn't interfere with my incipio case. Perfect solution for anyone looking for a screen protector.
By the way....there was a back protector in there? Is that just a film to keep your back from getting scratched up if you don't use a case?

You are correct sir!
Thanks for the video, I'm waiting for my Mime glass screen protector to come in. I'll try to add the aluminium button in before the screen install.

Does Air View work correctly at the lockscreen? I saw another video where the reviewer mentioned that Air View on the lock screen was a bit off (the shiny dot jumped from one spot to another) and did not follow the finger correctly.
Regarding putting the glass on over your aluminum home button....
It looked like that was slightly difficult, and it also looked like the glass didn't want to go down all the way at first. But maybe that was just the plastic part that got peeled off, because as soon as you peeled that off, the glass looked perfect. Can you elaborate on that?
Hmm, I'm using the Seidio Surface with the MIME Ghost Glass, which at 0.4/0.32mm (there's a discrepancy) is thicker than the Glas.t. The Seidio closes and fits on mine.
However, that's with the stock battery. With the Anker 2600 battery, which is a little thicker than the stock battery, it doesn't close.

Oops. Before making another video, I must have just skimmed over your question. It appears to work fine on the lock screen. Which version did he have? GLAS.t or GLAS.tr?

It was actually the supplied jelly bean button. It only took some time because I used the alignment around the home button to determine where to drop the GLAS onto the surface pretty much. That and focusing on the sides more than the top. Also, I thought there was a huge bubble down there initially as well. It was the plastic protector though.

I looked at the product quickly and it appears to have a larger opening up top. Since this case really hugs the device, that becomes an issue for the Spigen GLAS.

nice headshots lol, if only the glas.t covered over the sensor areas I'd rock one, for now I'm just rocking the spigen ultra crystal since out of the box.

Oops. Usually I give the video a quick one time over. Must have missed it.
Since I pay for 99% of the stuff seen, and it is my phone, I have to make a choice. Do I make a video and sacrifice a lousy install, or do I poke my head in the shot .
I think they might leave those areas open to ensure they function correctly. It does cover the front facing camera though. If you look at the protector the poster a few above was talking about.... It doesn't appear to cover much of the top at all.
As long as you're rocking something, it's better than nothing. I thousand knives can't damage Gorilla glass, but 1 penny sharing space in the same pocket sure can lol.
yeah I think I prefer the glas.t over the TR just because it's thinner can looks more like nothing's on than the TR with the beveled edges.
I may get it eventually maybe if they have a father's day sale lol, like the 20% off memorial day.
I'm still digging this product. I have some Chinese glass screen protectors, but I'm going to have to give them away for user submitted reviews.
I can't get myself to take the Spigen off the S4.

Not really. I use a case on it always though.
You can feel the edges of the glass if you're moving it around, but if you just place the phone directly up to your ear, you won't notice anything.
It is my pleasure to provide the videos. Thanks for watching.

The phone hasn't been put through a lot of use to date, however as of this weekend my wife is giving up her iPhone 5 and using this regularly. We have a newborn baby and she will be carrying that thing in her purse and back pocket most of the time.
If there are issues, she should be able to get them to appear! I'll report back if anything happens.
Has anyone found and tried any screen protectors that are precision cut for the front and or back? I ordered a couple brands so far from Amazon, and I'm guessing they were earlier cuts before the phone was actually released, because the edges don't go all the way to the edges on both top and bottom. I'm hoping the protectors overtime are more precision cut and edge-to-edge.
Any recommendations?
The screen is rounded on all edges... they will bubble if they went all the way. .. you might not be able to tell with your eye... but it is.

I was thinking that same thing, until I took a look at Dbrand's skin. They have real images of their skin on the back and front of the S6 device. Precision cut, edge to edge. Yup, all the way to the edges. It's beautiful. But, this time around, I actually do like the black sapphire look, so would very much not like to cover it up with a skin.
Seeing Dbrand was able to do it with even a thicker skin, I'd like to assume that a thinner screen protector can do the same.
Take a look at the Dbrand site and the pictures they have up of the S6 with their skin on.
On the video when they pull off the front screen skin part that covers the lcd portion of the screen... there is nothing there... as in the screen is not protected... those are just edge to edge design vinyls... no thank you.

I should be more specific. I didn't link to the Dbrand site to show a skin that has no screen protection. That's quite obvious. What I'm talking about is a product that wraps over the edge, which you're saying is not possible. I'm saying, that if Dbrand can get the edge of their thick ass vinyls to curve slightly over the S6's edge, then a company that does make screen protectors should be able to get their thinner more malleable screen protectors to do so as well.
I don't care about the vinyls, I simply am referring to the product as an example of one company that is able to make it work. So I'm simply asking if anyone else has yet purchased a screen protector that covers edge to edge. Not stopping short like pre-manufactured screen protectors are thus far.

I used Zagg back when I had the Nexus 4, which had more significantly curved edges on its screen, but the Zagg formed perfectly with zero lift and zero bubbles. It was a wet install, so that may have helped. The S6's edges are not as curved as the Nexus 4 was, so I'm hopeful for some edge to edge protection. Quite possibly it was user error in your case (Best Buy)? Did you install it, or did they?

Nah i paid the $10 for bestbuy to do it cause i wanted it done ("Professionally") instead of me screwing up x20 times....and everytime he put it on I wasnt happy with it and neither was he... I actually let it sit a day and brought it back and said , forget it Im not happy with it...so I went to the source and got a $20 HD clear protector and its been great! but it doesn't go all the way to the top or bottom..but I am happy with it.
This one is perfect. Front and back have perfect cuts. There's a plastic and a glass one that you can choose from.

Ordered this off eBay and its great. Covers the whole glass on the phone and does NOT have the halo effect around the glass but only near the home button which isn't much. The borders are black to possibly hide the halo, and or parts of the glass that isn't touching the screen itself. Pictures were taken on a Nexus 5 so you know where I'm getting at.

hii .. how does the phone fit in a case ? does the edges of the screen protector get pushed by the case ?
Is that really full cover? edge cover?
It does cover edges but i would like to see one on gold s6. Also to OP, how is around home button now?
The glass covers the entire front of the phone. The camera, proximity sensor and wraps around the home button. I haven't tested it with other cases besides the ringke slim case and it is just fine. I'm guessing it should be fine with others as well. There is no portion of the front glass exposed with this on except for this home button and the ear speaker.

Does the glass stick all the way to the edges? Or is it more like my Nillkin Glass protection is?
Along the entire phones edges the glass protection will not stick all the way. It makes it look like ****.
Maybe all glass protection is like this?

Yes, all the way to the edge. It has a black border around the edges so if there is any halo effect, you cannot see it. I've tested it with both the Ringke Fusion and Slim case and it's not pushing the screen protector up. I imagine some cases may lift the protector.
Thanks, just ordered one.
Nillkin has an even cooler tempered glass protector, look here:

How much of a lip does the Ringke Fusion/Slim have?

My guess is this will get pushed up just as much as the other full cover edge to edge screen protectors from Nikllin, UTLK, & Collreall, since it still goes to the edge of the phone. I cannot imagine this one is any thinner than the others to not cause problems.
For the Spigen Neo Hybrid, I think you are stuck with the screen protectors that only cover the screen and not to the edge, or the PET protectors.
Blooody marvellous!!

My guess as well. It does wrap all around the phone and the glass is edge to edge unlike others. It may lift with other protectors who have a lip around the screen. Its a great protector and wanted to share with everyone here since we are all looking for one that covers the whole front glass and this is it.

Hey guys,
So I have a question concerning using tempered glass screen protectors on the S6. Mainly, has anybody ever tried to use it in conjunction with a waterproof case? I used a cheap but well-reviewed case (RedPepper waterproof case) and it didn't close with the tempered glass front and back (no surprises there). It was only when I removed the back that I managed to fit it, and even then it wasn't completely waterproof. Oops.
Now I have a particularly thick screen protector--IIRC, it's a ZAGG, which according to Amazon is 0.4mm thick. Question is, would it be different if, say, I had a LifeProof Fre, and a thinner tempered glass protector?
And while we're at it, do any of you guys have tempered glass backs and have issues with wireless charging?
Thanks!
do you need a screen protector of any kind with a water proof case? Doesn't the case cover the entire phone?

If one would use the case as a daily driver, no. Guess I forgot to explain--I'm just gonna be using the waterproof case when I go into the pool or anywhere I anticipate that I'd be getting wet. Hence wanting to keep on the tempered glass protector.
I have lifeproof case with a 0.2 mm glass screen protector. The only gripe I have is the loss of screen sensitivity. Usable, but gotta press harder. Like you, I only use the waterproof case when I go outdoors, so it's a fair trade off.

It doesn't have any issues with waterproofing? With the case I got, plus admittedly a thicker glass, it leaks a bit. I guess I'll just wait and see if it changes with the 0.2mm one. Thanks!

I have the Galaxy S5 with the tempered glass screen protector and use the LifeProof Fre all the time. The device never comes out of the case. I do not see this loss of screen sensitivity. I can't see the S6 having a lower touch-resolution than the S5... I wonder if case design is at fault. But I too have zero leaking with the S5.

There's a pillow effect created by the glass screen protector. It makes it harder to register the touches.

You know what, my brother has the S6 with LifeProof Fre. He doesn't even have a screen protector on underneath and has the exact same issue as you. I was thinking a screen glass screen protector would help take up some of that space. I'm guessing a design flaw.

There is a fix for the pillow effect. The plastic cover has to soften. What I did was, I installed lifeproof case with the tempered glass SP, and used it for a good week. After that, I removed the glass SP, and pillow effect is completely gone. So my lifeproof case is PERFECT now. (except when I use it in conjunction with glass SP).

I think that gap was by design--I've seen early iPhone waterproof case designs that had a small gap between the case screen and the phone, so you can still use the screen protector underwater (i.e., case screen would act as a resistive screen to the capacitive touch screen, if that makes sense).
The reviews I've seen of the Fre for the S6 doesn't show any strap holes, unless there's another version which has one. But yeah, I guess the LifeProof one over the RedPepper would make sense.

Interesting theory! And if they designed the cases with that function in mind, they're geniuses. But the pillow effect is not uniform.. And it's unintentional according to discussions I've had with lifeproof.
I would thing you'd be better off with an poly urethane screen protector rather than a tempered glass if you're using it in a case. The glass may be too bulky.

Good enough--what you'd expect from an average waterproof case. It does have a bit of flex, and it unsettles me a bit that the case I have is a bit bent on the edge with the seam on the two sides sitting around 0.1mm apart. The seals snap around quite well, but it doesn't feel as tight. But the rubber ring around the case is kinda thick so I guess that makes up for it.
I've seen many people have their battery door snap off with mild stress though. Definitely something you'd want to watch out for.

I'm hoping a 0.2mm case would be a snug fit there, but that's definitely where I'm going if the glass doesn't work out. I just think it's too big a tradeoff as I had numerous good experiences with tempered glasses protecting my screen.

the edge is part of the viewable screen. so a case that covers that covers part of the screen. there are plenty of screen protectors that cover the edges just fine. most cases cover the rest of the phone from being damaged. i was not a huge fan of the edge when they first started using it. but it looks like that is the direction samsung has gone. probably shouldn't have gotten a note 7 if you don't like the edges

We didn't have a choice. You can't have a note now without the stupid edge screen. Like he said. Looks neat. Then it's just annoying. My wife had an S6 Edge Plus and returned it after a couple days for the flat screen version. She hated it too. Unintentional screen taps, no tempered glass screen protectors that don't suck. I'm putting up with it because I have to and love everything else about the Note 7 but this edge screen is just lipstick..... all show and no go and unnecessary.

I am also interested in a good protective case, it doesn't neccessarily have to cover the edge screen like Platinum (that case is expencive and ugly in my opinion), but I do wish the lips on edges would be well above the actual screen. I hope I wrote that clearly.
I am also shocked it is so hard to combine the screen protector and a a case.
Spigen neo hybrid is the case I'm using and it sinks into the edges just enough so it doesn't cover any of the display
I don't think that is what the author is asking about though.

I bought the one in the link above. The edges come up higher than the display, they don't really "cover" the edges much if at all, but are above the curved edges so that they help protect from drops. This is exactly what I was looking for. This is my case I use when I may be in a situation that the phone is more likely to be dropped or something similar. I don't use the edge feature anyway, but you still could if you really wanted with this case, just not as easily. I doesn't make the display size smaller by covering it up so IMO this is the best option if someone wants to protect the edges more without them actually being covered.

That is strange because on the pictures the case edge doesn't look raised at all.
I am all for using the edges but they should be protected. Most cases look like too small bras in my opinion. I was under the impression Speck could offer a case we are looking for but we won't know before someone posts a review with an actual phone it the case.

If you look close at the pictures you can see more plastic above where the buttons on the side are located. This was my clue that the case had raised edges on the side too. I have the case and can verify that the sides of the case are higher than the display, even with a tempered screen protector on. The case does as a little more bulk than I like mostly from the thicker corners they built into the case to take the shock of a fall better, but it still isn't a bulky case. Just bigger than my Ringke slim case I also have.
Tech 21 was expensive in the Att store but it raises around the edge slightly to make it slightly raised when face down...its a decent case but I'm still paranoid of glass shatter if it falls face down but I would feel that way with any case.
I recommend the otterbox commuter. The screen has totally protection and you have access to the curved edges..
Also the nice thing about it us the hard plastic backing reinforces the sidewalls so they cant flex during a drop.
Alot of cases i tried were very flimsy mid screen along the sides, this one is firm

Can you specify the exact model and how much is "slightly"?

Before I buy a pink case (ughm, where is the blue guys), how raised is the case along the edges?
i believe this is the case you're looking for....
it makes your note7 look like it has a flat screen, covers up the edges, and all that jazz.

I doubt people want a case that makes their screen look smaller.

The case I linked in a post above does not make the viewable part of the screen smaller. The edges of the case go straight up, not overlapping the curved edges, just higher than them and higher than the display, even a display with a tempered screen protector. I have been using this case for a week now and can highly recommend so far. Here is the link again if you want to look at it for yourself:
