Bluetooth and OA6 - not syncing - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have had issues connecting and syncing via Bluetooth. I have a fitbit type device from my company that uses boomerang to sync stats. Since OA6 the device doesn't sync. Device connects but no sync. I also have a cobra radar detector that doesn't sync with phone.
I am running MOAR 6.1 but know the issue is not the rom but OA6 itself. My wife's phone running stock directly from sprint and she has same issue.
Anyone figure out a fix? I've searched around the forum but didn't see anything.

Exchange Sync Broken over WiFi

I just got the Inspire yesterday, coming from a Captivate. I am running the latest version of Android Revolution, and everything seemed to be working. But when I got home, I found that my Exchange account won't sync when I am connected to wifi. As soon as I disconnect and try to sync when connected to 3G, works again. I have tried this in a few different wifi hotspots, and same result.
Has anyone else had this issue, or know how I can resolve it?
Thanks.
I also run Revolution (2.1). I just connected to WiFi, sent myself a message (to my Exchange account) and it was able to sync just fine
I never had that problem, stock ROM or not. Are there any restrictions the Exchange admin has placed on Active Sync? Remember, the stock Captivate 2.1 did not have security enabled for Active Sync.
Make sure you follow this thread. I had problems with exchange sync working when I switched back and forth between 3g and wifi until I added the second apn.

Thanks for the advice. i tried the settings in the post and I couldn't connect over 3G anymore. I put the default back and works again.
FWIW, mms works fine.
Any other suggestions are very appreciated.

Strange wifi tether issue

First off the wifi tether works great, have it connected to my laptop now writing this.
the issue is even though the laptop is connected to the phone, the phone is not reading that it has a user connected and therefore shuts off the connection after 5 minutes due to "no activity"
I am on stock wwe not even rooted
any ideas to cure the issue
any more information needed just ask
thanks
Then it has most likely something to do with you laptop. Have you tried other other forms of security? WPA,WEP, none at all.
Laptop is brand new on a fresh install, I'm using the standard security

This issue is not just tethering related. I also had the same issue where I was talking on Skype and WiFi/4g disconnected thinking that network was not being used. This is very annoying since I can't use Skype to make calls.
I really don't understand why OEMs bypass android core settings and do their own implementation. This is confusing like hell and is just making the fragmentation issue much worse. For ex in this case, instead of putting their own logic of disconnecting while sleeping to save battery, they should have let users decide via already existing setting for WiFi sleep policy.

Yea my phone is always on charge while tethering so it's annoying especially when tethering is my only way to access the net.

Maybe you guys can help me understand a similar problem I'm having--
I can use Skype on my tethered PC for about 20 minutes before it suddenly cuts out, and in fact my entire mobile data connection shuts down. If I reset the phone, internet (and Skype) comes back, but now only for a few minutes before it is shut down again.
If I don't use Skype, I can use the internet all day long with no disconnects...
Verizon --> Droid Charge --> PDAnet --> USB --> Win7 desktop --> Skype

[Q] Wifi closes when I open the email

Hi,
I tried a search in the threads but could not find a similar issue.
I have updated to the 4.0.4 version from the official site.
Now everytime I start the built in email, the wifi connection drops. Specifically, when I try to sync the emails using the wifi. If I use the 3g everything works fine.
I have deleted the account and entered it again but the problem still occurs.
Any suggestions?

[Q] No Images when on WiFi?

I am running stock Kit Kat except that i have my phone unlocked and rooted.
What is happening is that when i am connected to wifi i am unable to load images on the play store, or any browser. Games work, video works music works, but images wont load.
I have no problem on my nexus 7 connected to wifi or any other device i have ever had. If i disconnect from wifi and use cellular it all loads just fine. Can anyone lend a hand on this for me?
Thanks
update: turns out that you tube thinks i have no network when on wifi, but other apps seem to work and think they have a network just fine.
Update: must be something to do with the router, when i connect it to a wifi hotspot it works fine. ???? thanks anyway.
Doesn't seem to be an issue with the radio on the phone, especially if you can connect to other hotspots without issues. Factory reset the router, that should fix the problem.
Try checking to see if you have any adblocking on your phone and disable it and try loading pictures up.
Thanks I'll give them both a try.

OK so no add blocking and that couldn't be the case as you tube and hangouts and google+ all behave as if I have no network. I will try the router reset and cross my fingers. I just updated the firmware on my netgear r6300.

Ok after testing resetting the router gave back a small bit more but non of the Google services act right such as no images in YouTube but I am at least not getting a no network error. This same issue now exists with my nexus 7 2013 after installing kit Kat. Now I am pretty sure its not my hardware, instead its the modem that's installed with kit Kat on both devices.

Wifi Issues

OK I am hoping a few network techs can help me with this issue. While on Wifi my phones internet works I can browse the web and using any app I want. The issue I am having is with Facebook and Instagram Alone. I can not upload photos to either app while on Wifi. As soon as I disconnect from Wifi it uploads just fine.
I have a Nexus 5 completely Stock running 5.0.1
My Wireless Router is a Buffalo Nfiniti WHR-HP-G300N running DD-WRT (came pre installed on the router when I bought it brand new)
I can post status updates to Facebook just fine as long as they do not contain a photo.
I can post pictures to Google+ while on Wifi without any problems.
My phone backs up my pictures to Google+ Automatically without any problems. ( I have it set up to do it only while on WiFi and charging)
Other Apps like Google Drive, sheets, slides, docs all work fine on WiFi.
I cant figure out why Facebook and Instagram are having issues this has only started happening with in the last 2 weeks. All Android devices while on WiFi have this issue (My Phone, Friends N5 running exact same Android and my Nexus 7 (2013))
Facebook and Instagram both work while on WiFi when I am at work.
Any Help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
