Hi,
I tried a search in the threads but could not find a similar issue.
I have updated to the 4.0.4 version from the official site.
Now everytime I start the built in email, the wifi connection drops. Specifically, when I try to sync the emails using the wifi. If I use the 3g everything works fine.
I have deleted the account and entered it again but the problem still occurs.
Any suggestions?

I just got the Inspire yesterday, coming from a Captivate. I am running the latest version of Android Revolution, and everything seemed to be working. But when I got home, I found that my Exchange account won't sync when I am connected to wifi. As soon as I disconnect and try to sync when connected to 3G, works again. I have tried this in a few different wifi hotspots, and same result.
Has anyone else had this issue, or know how I can resolve it?
Thanks.
I also run Revolution (2.1). I just connected to WiFi, sent myself a message (to my Exchange account) and it was able to sync just fine
I never had that problem, stock ROM or not. Are there any restrictions the Exchange admin has placed on Active Sync? Remember, the stock Captivate 2.1 did not have security enabled for Active Sync.
Make sure you follow this thread. I had problems with exchange sync working when I switched back and forth between 3g and wifi until I added the second apn.

Thanks for the advice. i tried the settings in the post and I couldn't connect over 3G anymore. I put the default back and works again.
FWIW, mms works fine.
Any other suggestions are very appreciated.
Hey everyone, I own a Nexus S (Rogers) and I've recently been having this issue where I can't browse without being connected to wi-fi. I have no problems texting, but I'm unable to browse or refresh my twitter app without being connected to wi-fi. I have a custom ROM installed, I'm using the KANGY ROM by Haka. Everythings been working fine up to this week so I don't know what the problem could be, I've even restored my APN settings to default and that didn't seem to work. Any solutions would be great. Thanks
I got my daughter her tab 7.7 about 6 months ago & had been going on perfectly. Android version is 3.2 & I have no easy measures to update for the time being.
For internet connection she uses only my WiFi secure connection. It was working fine all this time.
Today she can't log to her Facebook account via the Facebook app. I checked it out to find that I can log in via the browser but not the app. I thought it may need updating and tried Google play store but I was astonished to find it not working too as it gives me "No Connection. Try again".
I noticed that the WiFi mark is white & not showing the green strength marks, but connection is confirmed by the WiFi name. I was shocked when I tried the software update from "about" when it gave me the "no connection message" despite working WiFi connection. Samsung app is working perfectly & I can update its applications.
Also funny thing happened, when I tried the browser it kept giving me certificate errors many times.
I tried the VPN as I googled around but nothing changed. Same problem.
Switching off & on didn't help either.
Any Clues??
Thanks
Most strange thing happened.
Everything is back to normal without me doing anything.
I left the tab for a while while writing the previous post.
When I came back I found the app update mark showing up, I turned on the WiFi & touched the update icon, the strength signal showed in the WiFi & update started the goggle app. All went normally. Facebook app worked & even the browser certificate errors disappeared. The software update in the "about" worked fine & checked & found no updates.
What is going on...
Can anyone explain to me what's happening?
Thanks

Try Power Cycling your modem/router. That often corrects connection issues. Presume other devices were connecting just fine?

After Lollipop update (via ota) I'm getting strange issues with syncing of different accounts (gmail, cloudmagic, whatsapp...) on my work wifi network. Everything is fine when I turn off wifi and switch to 3G ...I'm getting all emails, messages.... Also my colleagues have no issues with older android versions. On my home wifi no issues either.
After OTA update I have done factory reset to start "clean".
Is anyone experiencing similar issues. I found one discussion regarding this ( https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/hfEp9s5vxhI ) ... but still I can't find solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
