Hey everyone, I own a Nexus S (Rogers) and I've recently been having this issue where I can't browse without being connected to wi-fi. I have no problems texting, but I'm unable to browse or refresh my twitter app without being connected to wi-fi. I have a custom ROM installed, I'm using the KANGY ROM by Haka. Everythings been working fine up to this week so I don't know what the problem could be, I've even restored my APN settings to default and that didn't seem to work. Any solutions would be great. everything works really well except that i am unable to load to market, google map, FB, navigation and etc.... my phone data plan is all right as i am able to surf net. However all of them work well if i am connected to wifi....

But i am still unable to connect to the app...
Is there anything else i can do?

Tried using other rom but problem still occur.
There is outgoing but no incoming as showned on the animation on the phone. I found that there is multiple busybox on my sys memory, is it the cause of the rom to be acting this way?

under Settings>Accounts & Synch make sure Background Data is selected when connected to WIFI.

i am able to connect via wifi and i am able to receive the apps data via wifi. I had also checked everything under the sync but still unable to receive any data from market,fb, etc via 3g network....
maybe your x10 not compatible to the wireless router
my xperia x8 got similar problem before
but the problem solved by replacing a new router
you may try to connect another wifi network to figure out whether it is hardware problem or not
I recently flashed my motorola atrix 4g on bell using the Aura rom. Then I flashed the d00 kernel. After flashing both of these, I went on my phone and everything BUT my internet over 4g works for some reason... the facebook widget works, connecting to the internet over wifi works, and all other widgets that require 4g internet work. I can still even call and text. How can I fix this issue?
Fixed. If anyone else has this problem on there phone try downloding opera mini; worked for me

This problem just started yesterday and I don't know how to fix it. My Nexus S will connect to a wifi network but it will not receive or send any data, or sync up will the Google servers.
I tried a router reset and that didn't work, then I did a search on here and tried some of the suggestions but none of them worked either.
It is fine with 3g, but not wifi.
I'm running the latest cm9 stable, tried a clean install and that didn't work, I also tried restoring from my latest backup from a few days ago and that didn't work either.
Help would be much appreciated =)

Hey guys,
Really odd issue I ran into today...
All the sudden my data connection started to not work, chrome responded back to me with error 102, and other apps said there was no data connection, although there was a data connection shown on my phone.
However here's the catch...
Some apps still work with the data, such as flipboard (but only text, pictures do not show up) and the campus portal app (grade app) works perfectly, grades still update perfectly.
Even with wifi the problem is exactly the same..
Any thoughts on what happened/what I can do to fix it?

Hi,
I tried a search in the threads but could not find a similar issue.
I have updated to the 4.0.4 version from the official site.
Now everytime I start the built in email, the wifi connection drops. Specifically, when I try to sync the emails using the wifi. If I use the 3g everything works fine.
I have deleted the account and entered it again but the problem still occurs.
Any suggestions?
