Soft Brick?? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I was messing around with boot logo(used the cm theme engine) and put this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chummy.jezebel.one
And I saw the dev saying you can change the boot logo(before the rom you know), so I thought I could put this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chummy.jezebel.oneplus
So when it strarts it will say OnePlus and when the rom is booting it will say One
The boot had to be with fastboot and here's where crap comes, after I fastboot I'm unable to turn on my phone :crying: I press the power button and it vibrates(as usually) and no screen(black). Tried volume up+power same, volume down+power same - connecting to pc doesn't seem to be viable(pc can't "see" it - drivers are already installed, that's how I fastboot so) + no charging led lit - also it's hard to turn off as I can't see when it's turned off(at least it's not in a boot loop) <-- I'll leave it a couple of hours(actually 5-6 hours just to be sure) and try to enter fastboot again(I dl latest CM11s firmware and extracted the logo.bin this should fix it - if phone manages to enter fastboot that is. Bring any ideas to table
Anyone can try to help me on this, maybe flashing the logo.bin(original) somehow
The dev said: "To fully complete this look, you will need to flash logo.bin, attached here as a zip: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934520565
To use the above file, place logo.bin into your fastboot directory, open up a Command Prompt, and key in "fastboot flash LOGO logo.bin". Press Enter. Then type in "fastboot reboot"." yeah right..
P.S. To be fully honest after the fastboot flash LOGO logo.bin I waited a bit and I manually turn off phone instead rebotting via fastboot(fastboot reboot)
---------------- If someone is brave enough he/she can do what I did(follow my steps) and see if it's easy to get out of this situation(probably someone who knows exactly what he's/she's doing, expert on android phones -----------
EDIT: Holding the power button for 10 seconds exactly turns off/on phone(don't know if it's on or off but it vibrates, like when turning on - maybe turning on and then shuts down itself - without vibration? don't really know what is happening as screen is blank. I'd love if it had removable battery, I could place the battery away from phone for several hours just to be sure) - Screen always black(not even grey<--in power, we don't have Amoled so it's visible in a dark room)
EDIT2: I just tried once more and connect it with my home pc(W8.1 x64) rather than my OfficePC(W8.1x86) it showed something similar I've seen in another topic "QHSUSB_BULK" <-- not sure if it was this exactly I manage to read Q and something about usb before it disappear (I tried several times and it's QHSUSB_BULK for sure for a few secs then it's an unknown usb device as in picture), now it's an unknown usb device
..now after several turn offs(simple power hold button and vol-up + power it's in device manager as QHSUSB_BULK)
Btw because it's connected to a usb hub that has leds when a device draws power I know when phone is turned on and off due to that <-- only when doing volUP+power the led of the usb hub turn lit
I've chanced my Win lang to Eng so people would understand the following, here's a pic:

Follow his guide, works like a charm.. you'll end up with a ColorOS rom which you can chance it with fastboot(and move to cm11s) from there you can go anywhere
My last backup took place on 26 of Jan 2015 so I've lost about 52 days of usable data(hope I didn't take many photos or videos at that time - don't remember to be honest )

Congrats.

Just pressing volume up and down won't get you into download mode. You need to apply a usb cable as well.
Maybe that is why your NS stays black.
Doen't work
i also tried to just hold volume up and on button
and hope that is go into fastboot ( only not on the screen )
but that doesn't work either
hope that er is someone out there who can help me
Hi,
You have a bricked bootloader and JTAG is the only answer in this scenario. That is my video you posted and I'd be happy to take care of this for you. Just PM me if you have any other questions.

you have to power off ur phone first.
1) power off ur phone or just remove battery and put it back in ( ur phone should not be plugged either)
2) hold vol up and vol down
3) press the power button and keep your fingers on the vol up and vol down until u enter download mode
4) plus the cable now
5) reflash bootloader through odin

That's why i could kill myself at the moment:O i din't look twice when i flash a zip
but i wanted to go from 2.3.3 to 2.3.2 ( because i can overclock to 1.6 )
the flash was succesful ( 100% ) i did go back and reboot
and from then the screen stays black
( this is really hard i suck in english xD )
update! : i think it was one of these that i flasht, But i dont really now
353e267378cd.signed-soju-GRH78C-from-GRH78.353e2673.zip
but sofar i now is that the stock update ?
The zip in question, does it weigh around 12-14 megs by any chance? Not the typical 85 for a full ROM?
These are "patch" zips that contain only new files and patches for modified files and partitions instead of full files. They're supposed to be flashed strictly on the ROM they were meant for, normally a completely stock ROM of a specific build number. (I'm not aware of any ROM maker out there, other than Google, providing this kind of zip update.)
Good luck,

Looks like your new here. Just a heads up you need to post questions in the Q & A forum.
To get into the boot loader this is how I do it.
Turn off the phone
Hold down Volume -
Hold down power for 5 secs then release while continuing to hold volume -
Then keep pressing power over and over until the bootloader pops up and stop.
It sounds weird but it works every time for me.

Why do you have a Ville XC? Was it shipped S-OFF?
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
make sure your phone is off, not hibernating (neat HTC feature)
to completely turn off your HTC, hold the powerbutton alone for some seconds until your home/menu/.. buttons start to blink, when they stop blinking, your device is off, you can let go the power button.
now hold power and vol down to enter bootloader.
other option
if you have htc booting into android, enable USB debugging, download ADB-tools, and enter "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot recovery"
good luck
or remove the battery, ah, bummer we can't, we have a One S

Bricked AT&T Fusion 2 u8665

K title says it all so whats happening at this moment
- i cannot get it to the recovery by holding Volume up + Power
- i can get it to fastboot
i have tried fastbooting multiple things to try and get it to work but im STUCK i finally got the phone rooted after several of days hunting
When i power on the phone it stays at the AT&T logo if someone could help me i would be very appreciative i use my phone constantly even though im probably gonna buy a Galaxy S2 or HTC sensation i would like to fix this just so i have the knowledge thanks :good:
Anybody know what to do so i can fix my phone
There is no way to unbrick this device yet. Another member and I are working on a solution, but we do not know how long it will take us to do so. I have bricked my phone, but I returned it, and got a replacement for it.
How did you brick your phone?
And if you can boot into fastboot, you can install a modified stock recovery, so you can boot into recovery, but it won't really do anything.

Like Robotic said... not YET for the general public because I am a bit worried about the threats within the code & config file comments by AT&T.
More or less "don't touch this or feds will bash your door in"
YOU CAN BOOT CLOCKWORK by booting recovery img via USB. You just can't flash it to the phone yet for some unknown reason.
K thank you guys keep me informed please when i boot this in fastboot will the phone turn on?? or what?
Oh and im not sure exactly how i bricked it my phone it died one night then when i turned it on it was just stuck at the att sign
and i can fastboot into it ive been trying to load diff recoverys on it but nothing worked ill try that when i get my phone back from my cousins house keep me posted on any updates
Check out Q2&3.

Hi, just asking.
Hi everyone in this temple of wisdom, first of all forgive my write english (Im latin) so, if you find my sentences hard to understand.. that´s the reason.
I have a Huawei Fusion U-8665 from AT&T, 3 days ago I try to root it using this app:

I read the instructions step by step and when a push the button "Unloock BOOTLOADER" the app call ADB SHELL in CMD and wrote a lot of command to try unlock the phone. The problem was after that, my smartphone wont boot!! just turn on with logo of AT&T and 3 seconds later turn off, and keep looping ON---Off---On---Off.
I already try:
Power and Vol +
Power and Vol -
Power and Vol + and Vol - (When I did it, devices stop Looping and show a purpple screen, but yet cannot use adb shell from my laptop)
I already have a driver installed en my laptop, but devices is not found when I try: "adb shell" in CMD. Just show "error devices not found"
Im noob in this world, all my experiencie has been root and install custom rom in htc glacier MYT 4G, if anyone can help me I really apreciate that.
That's for the Chinese g300

Never Bricked...
Hello,
So first off.. You can't brick the device because it has a hardware function that allows limited functionality. Most devices have this safety feature. For the Mobile Android System it's called "fastboot". (Sorry if this is redundant to you) To boot into fastboot there is a button combination for each family. The generic method I think all of the have in common is.. If you take out the battery and hold the "Vol UP" or "Vol DN" while you plug the device into your computer it should default to fastboot. Otherwise if that doesn't work do the same thing but hold the "Power + Vol DN" you have to hold it for about 15 seconds. This android model doesn't have a splash screen for fastboot, so all you will see is the AT&T Logo. It should stay there.. Verify the connectivity with the fastboot command, " fastboot devices" (via the cmd prompt and sdk tools from Google.) At this point you can flash a new Recovery, Boot, or System. Once you flash a recovery you'll be able to install your Rom via RecoveryManager.
PS
If the device still will not boot after the recovery flash.. look into flashing the boot system.

How did you manage to get your tablet into fastboot because I can not get into fastboot it just loops on the Asus logo every time it turns on.
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
When you are on latest bootloader just press & hold Power + Vol down, when the tablet is powered down. You'll then see three icons and don't have to do anything further because the tablet is now in fastboot mode...
When "RCK" is highlighted and you press Vol up, you'll start the recovery (CWM or TWRP, if you have flashed one)...

I know this. The thing is I don't even get these choices it just hangs on the Asus logo (the one that has the words "this device is unlocked" in the top left or right of the screen. ) and goes nowhere and then hangs every time I try to pull up the boot option menu to select recovery or fastboot.

So even when you press & hold Power + Vol down nothing happens? Very strange...
Normally you should see "This device is unlocked" only for a second then the tablet starts the fastboot mode. Have you tried pressing these two buttons longer? Like 10 seconds or something? When you got stuck with the logo the tablet should reboot and hopefully go into fastboot mode. If not you have a serious problem...

Recover unbrick OP6

Hello guys,
I need your help.
Yesterday, my phone hangged and got stuck at Qualcomm Crash Dump mode.
I was just able to enter Fastboot (Power + Volume down button) but it won't wipe date, reset to factory or enter any other mode, it would just get black and do nothing, without possibility to launch the OS.
So, I used MsmDownloadTool to reformat it with the enchilada_22_H.07_180513 ROM.
The tool succeded to download the firmware to the phone but now, when I power it on, it just go directly to fastboot and whatever I do (Start, Recovery mode, Restart bootloader), it restarts directly in fastboot mode.
The problem is my device is not unlocked (I never rooted it) so I can't use the command "fastboot oem unlock"...
Due to the use of MsmDownloadTool, I know that I won't be able to recover the data but I would like to know if there is any possibility to make the phone usable again.
Try using different versions of MSM, I used the one which had OOS 5.1.5 and it successfully booted after it showed success in MSM
Thanks for your answer.
Problem is I can't use MSM as my phone is not detected anymore. It automatically boots on fastbood mode when I plug it on my computer.

when in fastboot mode power off the device from there and wait for 10-15 seconds once powered off then, hold the volume up button for 5-10 seconds and as you are holding it, connect your device to USB, let me know if this works or not
Ok, I will try it sunday and 'll tell you.

That manipulation works as you expected.

that's cool! I hope it works.
Hum.. doesn't seem to work...
Tried with enchilada_22_O.09_180517 ROM but when it completes the download, it just boots with the OnePlus logo (photo) then keeps black with the cyan LED light.
Is there a way for me to diagnose what's wrong ?

you know, this usually happens with me but not on this screen, you know the screen where it says "bootloader unlocked"(if it's unlocked), there's one glitchy line on the screen and when that line appears that means something's wrong and then the phone crashes to crashdump mode but usually I get out of it by simply pressing power button but it seems like the crashdump problem is different for everyone, so coming back to your problem either the flashing is going wrong or something is off, seems like even the only solution is not working for you, I can only suggest you to try it again but if even that doesn't work then I don't think there's any solution left.
PS. I hope that you are putting your PC/Laptop in test mode before performing MSM operations.
