[Q] Can not boot into bootloader - HTC One S

So a fresh One S
Used Hasoon200's all in One to unlock bootloader and root.
Flashed CWM
followed instructions to load Dark Jelly
will only reboot into recovery.
I can not boot into bootloader, I have tried
..adb reboot bootloader
..reboot phone holding downvolume
its my bosses phone so any help would be appreciated. whoopsie.
Can not use RUU because it has to bet into fastboot.
I have pushed files using ADB push XXXX /sdcard and the files go through the transfer process but then are not visible in /sdcard.

Looks like your new here. Just a heads up you need to post questions in the Q & A forum.
To get into the boot loader this is how I do it.
Turn off the phone
Hold down Volume -
Hold down power for 5 secs then release while continuing to hold volume -
Then keep pressing power over and over until the bootloader pops up and stop.
It sounds weird but it works every time for me.

Why do you have a Ville XC? Was it shipped S-OFF?
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2

make sure your phone is off, not hibernating (neat HTC feature)
to completely turn off your HTC, hold the powerbutton alone for some seconds until your home/menu/.. buttons start to blink, when they stop blinking, your device is off, you can let go the power button.
now hold power and vol down to enter bootloader.
other option
if you have htc booting into android, enable USB debugging, download ADB-tools, and enter "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot recovery"
good luck
or remove the battery, ah, bummer we can't, we have a One S

Could you give a more detailed explanation? What do you get in recovery and what recovery do you have?
battery pull and reboot into recovery
It says "Android system recovery <3e>"
Reboot system now
apply sdcard zip
wipe date/factory reset
wipe cache
But it won't let me select any of those options with the power key. I can only move up and down using the volume keys. :/
I did do a battery pull and reboot into recovery as far as I am concerned. I just cannot select any of the options once I am there.
I don't mean to be a bother, but can someone help me. I tried doing a search but couldn't find a solution. I hope the phone isn't totally useless.

Long time member, first time poster. So I know your not an android noob
Why don't you try flashing the recovery again using NVFlash
Haha yes, but this is my first Android phone. I used to have PPC phones lol.
I attempted to use NVflash and failed horribly. There are so many guides I ended up getting confused. Command Prompt would not allow me to do anything so I must have done something wrong.
You try this yet?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
NVflash really is simple to run and load even if you don't use the above method.

[Q] MT4GS Doubleshot

Ok is it just me or is there no one on this site that can help me? I have asked my question and ZERO replies. I have a MT4GS doubleshot i have rooted it and installed a custom recovery clockworkmod 5.0.2.7
I CANNOT access my bootloader. When I power down and hold volume + and - plus power to boot into recovery all i get is a frozen purple screen.
I can however boot into android recovery no problem. I would like to install custom roms and play with my phone. Is there anyone else out there that can help me??? I have searched google and this site the only thing i can find is bits and pieces of info and after i compile all this fragmented data it DOES NOT HELP AND GIVES ZERO USEFUL INFO. If someone could please write a tutorial on how to properly step by step accomplis this task I would be greatful. Thanks
Holding volume down while powering on should get you to bootloader
Same thing with
adb reboot bootloader
Not sure how youre able to power on straight to recovery though, didn't know it was possible
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No holding volume down and power does not get me into bootloader it just hangs at the splash screen. and yes depending on ur model holding power plus volume up should get u into recovery mode. However I cannot access my boot loader abd reoot boot loader boots me into a hung purple screen.
There is only one model of the doubleshot, and to my knowledge there is no key combo to boot directly to recovery on this phone. Can you do a couple things for me
Take a picture of this purple screen and upload it
Take a screenshot of your about phone under settings
Copy input/output from terminal/cmd when you enter
adb reboot bootloader

I believe you, its just that the key combo you mentioned has never worked on my phone nor have I heard about it in the forums
If you can't take a picture that's fine, just thought it may help me help you is all
Looking for all info about phone, but mostly
Model number
Baseband
Kernel
Build number
What I mean is when you enter
adb reboot bootloader
Into cmd (windows) terminal (Linux) I would lime to see the output
If you could simply copy and paste the result from that command it would be of help to me in order to help you to the fullest

Honor 6X almost bricked

Hello,
First: i'm sorry if i don't speak perfectly english but I hope someone could help me.
I got a one and a half years old Honor 6X BLN-L21 and it is almost bricked.
A year ago I tried to unlock the bootloader, to root my phone. I did a mistake which made me want to get back to normal rom by removing TWRP.
Since this moment, I can't update my phone or relock bootloader because:
- Every reboot there is a "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" message

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- I can't lock my bootloader because I can't access bootloader, because it needs a reboot and I get this message every reboot
- I can't update my phone for the same reason
- I can't access to recovery because it reboots everytime I turn off my phone one second later so it makes impossible to access recovery with volume buttons + power button
So I can't put a new rom with sdcard dload folder.
I can access my phone by waiting for it to get discharged, and then powering it with usb cable, and it boots normally.
Please help me, I really want to move to android Oreo.
Thanks
You should be able to boot to fastboot.
Connect phone to pc, press power key and once its in the process of shutdown, keep pressing the volume down key.

Power button to the shutdown, and then volume down, but it doesn't have the time because whatever i do, it restarts automatically as fast as possible
EDIT: I didn't understood why, but fastboot worked suddenly. I relocked my bootloader but I can't update my phone. Stuck in EMUI 5.1 because when I update eRecovery says my data partition is highly damaged and need to format. I did 2 formats but the eRecovery still blocks update with the same message.

Well, I'm not sure I want to open my phone just to update it. I want to update it, but I mean, isn't it risky to open ?
Why did you relock the boot loader tho. Unlock it and then follow Shashanks Guide. Works perfectly.

Question for anyone with a 100% virgin Axon 10 Pro--

Just going to leave this as an open request...
If anyone has a brand new phone or one they've literally NEVER used the EDL tool on before-- I'm curious to know if the bootloader on this phone has a stock menu at all.
If anyone has a completely stock phone that has never been unlocked and can try this - try to reboot the phone into the bootloader. No risk of doing anything to your phone to try this - just reset the phone via the menu or by holding down the power button until it resets. Then hold both Vol+ and Vol- buttons down BEFORE the phone vibrates and shows the ZTE screen and keep holding them. If you were holding power, release it as soon as you see the ZTE logo.
If that doesn't work and the phone just keeps booting, try again but this time hold just the Vol+ button instead until the Recovery menu shows up (definitely does exist on the stock). Pick the 2nd option to reboot into bootloader.
Let me know if both of those methods just go straight to booting the OS, or if there's a stock a bootloader menu they pull up. And if so, maybe send a picture would be nice. But mostly I'm just trying to find out if the stock ROM had a bootloader menu at all.
It does not, this is enabled with the eng abl from unjustufied devs bootloader unlock tool.

Thanks rafy. I thought so but couldn't be sure since I lost one of my original abl's I thought maybe it could just be a problem with my stock bootloader. Sucks that there's no stock fastboot because in A10 the bootloader won't load.
I saw you made a breakthrough with GSI support btw, nice! I ran out of time to tinker around with the phone as much as I was, would have loved to get more involved. Thanks for the work though, hopefully more people get involved as I do think there's plenty of possibilities for this phone. :good:
Not a virgin device but this info may be useful:
This is the Recovery on my A2020U after:
1. I unlocked the bootloader while on A9;
2. I upgraded to A10 using the official SD card update;
3. Booted by holding Vol+ and Power.

That was helpful, thanks. The theme on A10 recovery is funny because the first time I installed A10 was right after I tried out LOS16 and the theme colors are so similar I thought the recovery from that had somehow stayed around. A9 had recovery too but the menu was less graphical. Neither A9 or A10 has a bootloader menu though (Vol+/-).

Tmo Oneplus 8 stuck in Boot loader warning screen. How to fix?

I just unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and Magisk. I factory reset the phone in TWRP then uninstalled Magisk later. The phone reboot and stuck in booting screen. What should I do? MSM back to stock? Thanks.
Update1: I'm able to get into TWRP.
Update 2: I just MSMed back to stock.

This happened to me yesterday. Just hold the power button for a while and it should go forward. You might have to make sure you're not plugged into the charger also, but I can't remember if I did or not.
Doesn't work for me. Tried holding the power for a loooong time, does nothing. Tried vol down + power, does nothing. Tried vol up + power, device restarts, but comes back to that error screen. Mine is IN2019 (Verizon).
