Is there any Snap Saver what doesn't need root?
It isn't for my self, it is for my girl friend since she doesn't want to root her device.
I already told her that she needs root but maybe there is a alternative way "No screenshots" :fingers-crossed:.
I think this would be better off asked in the general Android q&a section as it isn't a device-specific question.

Hey, I recently got a Nexus 6, and instead of installing CM as I usually do, I'm going to try rooting and using Xposed. The trick is that I use Linux exclusively, so I can't use the one-click installers. It's a Nexus, so unlocking is a piece of cake, and I know how to use adb and fastboot to install a custom recovery.
From there, I'm not totally sure what to do. I downloaded the SuperSU zip from chainfire, which I'll install from twrp... Then... Do I need to install busybox or something? I guess I'll have to side load xposed after that?
Also, not sure what the update path will be after that. I guess rooting will break OTA... So what do I do?
Sorry for being such a newb! Thanks!
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. You can find your specific device forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
Nexus 6
All information for your device can be found within that specific device forum. Within that section you will find a dedicated q&a sub-forum:
Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I'd suggest you do some reading in your device forum, see if you can find your answers there. If you can't find your answers go ahead and ask your question in the q&a section I linked you to just above, that's the best place for it.
Good luck!

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Apparently the following method works for your device:
[GUIDE][ROOT] Root your LG L40/L70/L90/G2 mini!
Let me know how you go.
Hello
Thx for the response, i ll try it. Is it work on Android version 4.4.2?
If that one doesn't work there are a couple of other methods:
[GUIDE] New Root Method for LG Devices

If it doesn't work, your phone should still be ok. It's fine to ask questions, that's how we learn. XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area though, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. So if you need to ask any questions about the root methods you can do so in the threads that contain the root methods that I linked you to earlier. Or if you have any general questions about your device the best place for them is the q&a section for your device which is here:

As I mentioned above, XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and we can't direct you towards a device-specific forum since you forgot to tell us which phone/ROM you have. I suggest you look for your device in the list at http://forum.xda-developers.com/compact and post in that device's forum. If your devise is not listed, try the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you.
Good luck!
EDIT: Member has now posted in the suggested area. Thread closed.
Since new accounts can't post in the development forums I'm stuck asking this here....
I know you can use Pingpongroot to root Verizon Galaxy S6's that are on android version 5.0.2/5.0.6, but I also know this method doesn't work on 5.1.1 (due to them patching the exploit that allowed pingpong to work)
Has there been any development on a process to root the Verizon GS6 that's on Android 5.1.1? Or any process on unlocking the bootloader itself so a new kernel can be installed?
No if your on 5.1.1 there is no root exploit out yet hopefully something breaks just keep checking xda

As Development is not for question threads and they belong in Q&A as per rule 15, you can see the reason for the limitation to keep the development threads clutter free. The limitation gives members a chance to look around and learn where and what to post. If you need any help, please feel free to ask me or any moderator..we are here to help!
Thread moved to Q&A
Thanks for understanding
I have asked this on a thread odds of root v10 which was supposedly so lively by a moderator but is not since I have had no response or maybe the at&t threads in general... Idk so I will ask it here.
Can't we use this method instead of waiting for a tot method incase of the bricked phone for a root exploit since that seems the only thing we are waiting for?
