Switch the tab 4 wifi 10" to an se linux permissive - Galaxy Tab 4 General

Hello guys,
I'm looking for a way to switch my SE Linux from enforcing to permissive, I already searched on the web and I tried an application supposed to do it, "SELinux Mode Change" I used it and had a notification after the reboot saying me that now my SE was permisive, but checking in parameters I saw that the SE was always on enforcing. Is there a way or a custom kernel permiting it ?
Thanks

SELinux Permissive?

I'm hoping someone smarter than me can help me out on this. I cannot get SELinux set to permissive. I've tried Wanam, SELinuxModeChanger, and Paragon. Everytime anything tries to change the mode it immediately reverts back. I am rooted and I disabled KNOX using a script.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm on the P907A (AT&T).

Hi.
There's a kernel switch set to "Always enforcing"
If I understand the basics of this issue correctly you'll need a patched and recompiled kernel.
I haven't looked around but if there isn't one available, it should be possible to make one yourself.
Check this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755962
I haven't tried it out myself but the instructions seem fairly comprehensive.
There are a couple of issues that follow so I strongly suggest reading the entire thread and instructions several times and ask around if something is unclear.

To add onto my original post, I have not turned S-Off on my phone.
I tried doing it with rumrunner and it says that "The cap is on REALLY tight" and that I have two options.
One of them was to install a insecure kernel.
Any recommendations?

Privilege elevation?

Hello everyone. I'm just a bit curious (and worrying) about this.
I have the Find My Device (or formerly Android Device Manager) 's administrator permission disabled. However, this morning I got my device almostly erased by this feature (luckily I turned off Wi-Fi at that time). After re-checking, I found that somehow the admin permission was re-enabled (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION !). Could anyone here please explain me why?
Thanks very much.

Are you sure? If so it sounds like you must have malware with root access on your phone. Maybe your network also hacked.
I didn't think disconnecting WiFi will stop erase command, but I might be wrong as never tried it. Also you got everything back That suggests to me it was not "erasing" but something else was happening.....

Thanks for replying. Actually, I got to reproduce that scenario. I clean-flashed my firnware again with GApps, then revoke GMS' Administrator permission. And...it automatically enables when I click Enable Lock & Erase in Find My Device.

I would assume it's in the kernel or something. Make sure there aren't any extra partitions. It shouldn't have done any hardware damage. It has to be something not set straight in Odin. There are only a select number of partitions actually touched by Odin.
So one would need to find out what other partitions get touched or modded. I have restored before Kali and had a bunch of partition errors I assume was due to locked bootloader but even after restore still had those errors. Eventually a total format and restore cleared them. But your unlocked bl and modifiable kernel makes it different than my case

Question POCO X3 PRO GLOBAL (THEMING/TURN ON MIUI OPTIMIZATION) GONE

Hello guys, i need help i can't install vance yt because the turn on/off miui optimization is gone in developers option. I recently updated my poco x 3 pro 12.0.2 global to 12.0.4 global after update its gone. I can still search it but i cant find it once im in developers option. Any advice or help will kindly be appreciated.
Tried formatting/ download latest package/choose update package .
Still the theming and turn on miui optimization gone.
@cwapasion Are you using Xiaomi.EU ROM? If so, they completely disabled option for turning ON/OFF MIUI optimization for end-user. You can enable it by using any Android terminal, Termux for example, as superuser, but you need to be rooted.
If you're rooted, paste these commands into terminal:
su
setprop persist.sys.miui_optimization false
Then Optimization settings is back in the menu. By the way, Youtube Vanced doesn't require you to turn off MIUI optimization for a long time now. Are you using Vanced Manager from their official site vancedapp.com?

Is there even a way to install a Xiaomi.EU ROM yet, without TWRP?
Anyway, I tried using Vanced Manager on MIUI 12.0.4 and I was getting a "permission denied" error when installing anything from the Vanced Manager, I could install microG manually but installing Vanced itself was a no-go, until I disabled MIUI optimisations. Only then it went through. It's the recommendation I got on their Discord server as well.
What's interesting is, why the option to toggle these optimisations has disappeared for OP, but I still have that option on the same MIUI version... Region related??
POCO X3 Pro Global V12.0.4.0.RJUMIXM
POCO X3 Pro EEA V12.0.4.0.RJUEUXM
OP has Global version, in Europe there is EEA rom.
I am curious what other changes have been made in software by Xiaomi?
@TheReduxPL Well crap, I've mistaken OP's phone with regular Poco X3 NFC model. It complicates things, then. But, there's ADB workaround for this, which should work.
Check it out, OP @cwapasion

Sorry to hear that, I didn't realize it won't work without root access. I just did the quick search ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It seems like you would need to "su" first (I'm not 100% sure if that's the case though, maybe something else is to blame) which means your device needs to be rooted. But, since there are no custom Recovery for this phone yet, we all have to wait.
@urbanman2004
The best idea is to wait for any official/unofficial releases of TWRP or other recovery projects for this model on XDA thread/s or other forums.
Also, don't forget to start unlocking your bootloader. With Xiaomi timers, you can wait some time ツ
