I would assume it's in the kernel or something. Make sure there aren't any extra partitions. It shouldn't have done any hardware damage. It has to be something not set straight in Odin. There are only a select number of partitions actually touched by Odin.
So one would need to find out what other partitions get touched or modded. I have restored before Kali and had a bunch of partition errors I assume was due to locked bootloader but even after restore still had those errors. Eventually a total format and restore cleared them. But your unlocked bl and modifiable kernel makes it different than my case

I made a pit file and flashed this pit through odin. But no change, I think pit file does re-partition in phone. Any other way to totally clear all of the partitions and reinstall all of the drivers including touch drivers ?

You tried andrax instead installs on top of android as a normal app needs unlocked bootloader and root to full work but has all the same tools as kali nearly and few it doesn't

Nethunter and Andrax need custom kernel to suppot monitor mode usb wifi card, someone know what kernel i should use for that for G950f? I really need it but dont have PCto compile it myself, please if someone have kernel with a drivers for rtl8812au for s8. Thank you

Any way to install either andrax or nethunter on a S9 g960u rooted locked bootloader?
Having some issues with andrax, just wants to keep installing things on my phone. this is my first time using it.

It always has to install stuff it's downloading all the Linux apps , or you can install termux and so it via that too

930A ATT S7 Snapdragon Xposed framework

Hey guys, so I just found out about this site and am a super noob but managed to Root my ATT S7 last night. I have been trying to install the Xposed framework but it looks like I cant get a custom recovery program onto my S7. Does anyone know how to get TWRP or CWM or any custom recovery onto the 930A? Or for that matter, Xposed install without a custom recovery?

Actually I found out how to do everything and make it pretty smooth. Rooted, with Xposed and a bunch of fixes to make it almost as smooth as stock. Let me know if you are still looking.

Sure, I'll start from the beginning in case any other new people are wondering.
Basically, back up your files and restore your phone to factory so the root goes smoother.
Then proceed to this thread for the root. Oh yeah, install adb if you don't have it. They dont mention it and assume you know what it is, which noobs like me don't.
After a clean root, install Flashfire (you may need to disable samsung updates and reset the phones clock back to 2012 or something if Flashfire doesn't want to start). I used 0.31, maybe the newest will work? Easy to find in google.
On page 8 of the Root thread, there is a dropbox link to the Xposed apk and zip (Here). Move them to your phone and install the apk, then use Flashfire to boot the zip.
I think that's pretty much it, Xposed should be running after the Flashfire reboot (which can take a long time as it will Optimize apps).
psouza4 has an awesome thread on what to do after Root and Xposed to make the phone run smoother.
If you do something wrong and absolutely can't fix it, see here for re-flashing back to stock.
Hope this helps someone, took me about 2 days to search all of this out. The AT&T S7 is such a pain in the ass with it's locked bootloader, but this place is > AT&T!

download stock rom for your model and region.. keep it handy..
are u able to flash stock rom via ODIN or it is blocked by the carrier ?
1. if your carrier allows u to flash stock ROM via odin then
2. try the official twrp for J7xelte (J7 2016)
3. if u face any problem... flash the stock..
you have to try taking a risk... its upto you

That is not an issue, the only thing required here is a TWRP mainly for flashing a gapps zip in to system. Or maybe some other way to install a gapps zip.

I have done that, that never works. All Google apps gets installed manually but they don't work. An annoying message always come in front " google services framework has stopped "
I think they have to get installed as a whole to get working. As in a zip folder flashed into the system.

Well I was actually looking into it, the recovery you said is specifically for j7 based on Exynos chipset, and my j7109 is based on Qualcomm so this is the main thing to be considered I guess.
What you recommend?
What should be considered while porting an other device's TWRP?

T-Mobile Revvl OTA captured

I managed to capture an OTA update for the T-Mobile Revvl. It contains the boot image, preloader, and a bunch of other system stuff. If we can mod this for root or custom recoveries, that would be great.

Why don't you spit out all of the root exploit tools you know of and quit wasting my time?
I am willing to jump on the bandwagon and help developers to gain root access for this phone and the plus version. Fairly tech savvy with adb and fairly comfortable to be able to redirect if something went wrong let me know what's needed!!!
Would love to see this happen! Have one if you need someone to beta test

Rooting Oneplus 7 Pro using magisk soft-bricks my deivce.

I tried rooting my oneplus 7 pro using magisk with two different boot.img both time the device got soft bricked, wi-fi stopped working no volumes at own. i did get root access but i loose wi-fi connectivity and audio of my device.
I tried factory reset after rooting but it won't fix issue either.
I am currently on Oxygen OS 11.0.1.1.
Anyone having same issues? Or your magisk root works just fine? Any other way to root my OP7 pro.
A device's Android is rooted when SU ( AKA root ) is present.
Since Android 6 by default Toybox is part of any Android distribution. This Toybox release is restricted, means SU subcommand isn't supported. Hence all you have to do to get Android rooted is to replace pre-installed Toybox version by Toybox v0.8.5 what isn't restricted, will say contains SU support. Only requirement: ~200KB free space is available in /vendor/bin directory.

I tried, it worked I got root but it's not optimal, I had battery issues and the phone also runs a little sluggish.
So I reverted it back to stock using the MSM download tool.

How to restore Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Exynos) recovey system as factory default? (Solved)

I've recently installed TWRP on my Note 20 Ultra (Exynos) and deeply regret . It's very usefull and all but not enough to lose Knox encryption and other features of this device, soo does someone know how to restore it as default?

Afaik you can only get back stock recovery by flashing stock firmware via Odin or Heimdall.
Everything will be wiped doing that.

Well, as you've already flashed TWRP you have some experience already.
Use Samfirm_reborn.0.3.6.3 to download multiple! (by checking "binary nature") part stock firmware.
Get device into download mode and flash the files (Ap to AP, bl to BL, aso) in Odin 3.14 and above.

Hi there again bmwdroid,
So I've succeeded on installing the stock recovery system on my Galaxy Note, but the main reason that i wanted to "restore" it was to recover Samsung Knox encryption and regain access to the Samsung Pay and Pass functionnalities. So do U know if it's possible to solve it without sending to a Samsung authorized support or that's the only way to regain access to those functions? And just one more thing I've downloaded the right files from Samfirm_reborn.0.3.6 as U said it and flashed the right files(AP and BL), but I've asked myself if it's needed to flash the other ones (CP, CSC_OWO and HOME_CSC_OWO) and if it's needed where do I flash the CSC_OWO and the HOME_CSC_OWO since I can't flash two CSC files in the same flashing port.
Once again thank U for the support and I hope U can answer these questions.

Well I probably can't answer all but will try to.
If Knox has been triggered there is afaik no way to untrigger it again as it's a hardware switch.
You only need one CSC.
Can't remember which of the 2 will let you keep your DATA .
Edit: found it. That was easy.
