Optimizing apps. - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

Alot of apps run on jellybean or higher on android. These apps can still run on older versions but they need to be changed slightly. Aka changing the sdk version and seeing if the app makes any api calls that our software does not support. Whos up for getting games like godfire rise of prometheus and brothers in arms 3 running on the play? Ics? Gingerbread? The developer never will which is a damn shame. Whos with me on this?

I like my xperia play in 2.3.3 original rom and I won't go change it. Root is the only thing that I did.
I hope that somebody someday releases an simple apk or program that easily mod highter android for 2.3

2.1 system image for emulator yet?

Hi people!
I'm not fully set into the whole thing about system images and the emulator. What I'm doing here is running the emulator with a 1.6 system.img to get to the pay apps since it's not available in Sweden. I'm then transferring them to my phone. It's the only way here when the apps aren't available on slideme etc.
Question: I've run into the problem of getting 1.6 specific apps even when 2.1 versions are available from the market due to the 1.6 system being emulated. Is there any hacked system.img for 2.1 yet or any other way of fooling the market that I am using a 2.1 version phone. All I need is to get the 2.1 version down, it doens't have to work on the emulator phone, I just need it to get downloaded from the market.
Hope this isn't considered "warez" here or something, I'm paying for the apps I'm downloading.
Kristian
Id love to know how to do this as well.
As it seems, it's not possible. At least nobody I've asked has any clue on how to do it.

I think this question has been asked many times before. I suffer the same problem, so I wonder if there is another way of installing Android market apps on a phone without android. For example, using a QR code scanner? Would that work from a device that doesn't have Android market?
It's an android application, so to use on a non-android phone you'd have to port it.

android software packages cannot run on non-android devices, no offence but we know this.
Us users of devices that have an android version without Android market, want to have android market on that device.
I just tried using a QR code scanner on my motorola XT701 (which from the factory does not have android market), and it failed to install, because it wants android market presumably.
So here goes again: does someone know of a way to access android market apps on an android device that does not have android market?
Alternatively, can someone explain why Google does not make Android Market available? I mean, it's in their own best interests isn't it? I mean, Google Android is an Opens Source platform, so the app should be available to all android users, right? Or am I thinking to normal here?
For your phone or tablet to have access to Android Market and the rest of the Google apps, it has to be approved by Google. Android itself is free to everyone, but not those apps.
many thz everyone
it can be loaded but crashed in loading terms and argeement scan.
So how about flashing it to another rom or kernal?
For phones flashing it with a new ROM is possible, most android phones tend to have a ROM availale somewhere. However, for those Chinese made tablets, many donot have Market installed. I happen to have one I bought in May, and it does have Android Market, but so far many others do not, even proper brand ones, like Archos, don't have Market, which is sad.
So for chinese tablets, I guess you just hav eto search until you find one that has teh market pre-installed. Probably you'd have to order from HK, rather than mainland china (they are quite arsy, even about google maps. Infact, if you check google maps in China, you wil find the satellite images have been shifted compared to the map....)

[Q] Android Market vs Xperia Play App

Right now I'm a little bit confused. When I slide out the gamepad and the Xperia Play App appears, I've got access to all games developed to XP. In the top right corner there is a link to the Android Market where it lists the "Xperia Play Optimized" Apps.
Here's my question, why there are some games there are listed on the Android Market that do not appear in the XP App? For example Baseball Superstars 2011, just to mention the first I found in the list.
I understand why some games don't appear on Android Market (ex. Gameloft's), but the opposite I can't understand why.
This is confusing and doesn't make much sense. Not to mention the PS Pocket games, if this is a Playstation certified device, PS games should be the first to appear when the gamepad is open.
I end with a suggestion, why not reunite all games together when the slide is open, PS Pocket included.
And that is, not counting the PlayNow market. Sony should cut on the different markets' malarky.
Yes, I forgot the Play Now market. For me it's just another useless app on my phone.
I got rid of that play now piece of ****, yeah I dunno, it would have been better to have the slide out with XP games on one tab down the bottom and PS1 games on the other, and in order to buy more games, have a button in the top right (like now)! Then do away with the 2 other markets...!
I bought morden combat 2 on my old phone thur market and when I try to search for it in market its not there anymore only in xperia play market which there makin me buy again is there a way around that

To show up in the Xperia Play app directly, app developers need to submit their apps directly to Sony Ericsson. That's why not all apps in the Market show up.

E-mail Gameloft?
I guess it's because the version you buy in the Xperia Play market is the Xperia Play optimized one, and the non-optimized versions will not appear anywhere.

Apple and Android market the crap out of how many millions of apps they have.
Truth is, most of them are useless.
Probably 99.99% of them are total crud

Yeah, I thought it was something like that. Shame on the developers then

Who else thinks that soon every single system app will come to the Play Store?

So as many of you know, yesterday Google published the stock Nexus and GPe camera to the Play Store, albeit highly improved and reworked. I have a hunch that next we will get the Google Dialler and People app there, because the People app needs reworking. I believe that for the 'L' version of android (or 4.5) will focus on making the need for system updates very tiny, as only core things such as the kernel or frameworks would need patching. Thoughts?

Play Store downloads are slow on L Final LRX21O!

So I noticed this on the L dev previews and now the official LRX21O that play store would download quite slowly compared to 4.4.4. On pre-L android versions I would easily download 3-4+ MB's/sec this was super nice and would just chomp through large apps. Now on L it seems to be limited to 0.5MB to 1MB/sec which AINT BAD but isnt what it can be. I have tried both Wifi and LTE (LTE can pull down 70Mbps!)
IMO I think Google set download speed limits globally on all L releases to prevent excessive server load.
Can anyone else confirm the same?? If so maybe a developer can modify the play store APK?
Bump
Can't say I looked in detail as my apps came down as quickly as I would have expected them to.
Downloads have been going really really slowly for me yesterday and today, from the play store only.
Currently downloading Far Cry 4 Arena Master, which is 47MB, and it says it will take another 3 hours!
Mine worked very fast after updating thru the ota.
