In order to flash an ota update you have to have the stock recovery among other things. You first problem is trying to ota with TWRP.

Flash the stock recovery. If you've changed any system files, chances are that won't work either. In that case, either revert the changes you've made to whichever system files you've changed or start over and flash a RUU to get back completely to stock.
Also, if you've removed any of Verizon's bloat, it will fail. There's a lot of things like this that can make it fail. If you aren't sure what you've changed and can't put it back the way it was when stock, it's probably easiest to just RUU and get back to stock that way. You'll be starting all over again but it might be easier than trying to figure out what changes you've made that are giving you trouble.
Also, if you're running a custom rom, it will fail. You need to be stock for it to work. S-Off isn't a problem and I don't believe being rooted is either. But the OS itself pretty much needs to be stock.

Trust me when I say that I'm trying to be helpful. You need to do some reading.
You could flash a copy of the stock recovery the same way you flashed twrp and if you didn't modify you system files much/any then you may be able to take the ota after that. Another option would be to run the ruu that doddat posted in his very useful thread. Alternatively, you could just flash 4.4.4 firmware and a sense based rom.
Back to my first point. You are bordering on messing with some things that could seriously cripple your expensive phone and your questions imply that you don't quite know what you're doing. I would recommend you read read read. Read all the stickies in each of the Verizon m8 subforums. Read up on fastboot and adb. You should fully understand the command "fastboot flash <partition> <filename>". It's concerning to not know how to get rid of twrp when you or (worse yet) someone else have already flashed it once.
There are very smart and very helpful people here who will help you if you get into trouble but the responsibility is yours till try and avoid those situations by educating yourself first. Best of luck and happy flashing.

Do u still need help or you got it figured out?

Phone is bootlooping, and RSD Lite is failing

I recently purchased an Atrix 2, it's the first Android phone I've had and I love it!
I'm a bit of a techy person, into programming and such, so naturally the idea of flashing custom ROM's caught my attention fairly quickly. I was reading around on the forums and found this thread, installed CWM and managed to boot into recovery mode. I then installed J.Y.Daddy's CWM Recovery on boot. My phone was working perfectly at this point. I rebooted, and made SuperUser deny Atrix 2 Bootstrap. This didn't seem to do anything - I then reboot several times, only to have my phone start up normally (no CWM Recovery). For some idiotic reason I decided to re-allow Atrix 2 Bootstrap in SuperUser, then selected "reboot recovery" manually from the bootstrap application. I installed the last zip file from the aforementioned thread, and rebooted.
Since then, I haven't successfully started my phone. It'll play the entire Motorola boot animation, vibrate once, then start the animation again.
I then ran into the "Low Battery - Cannot Program" error, which I successfully fixed. I downloaded the 2.3.5 FXZ found here and attempted to flash, but I'm getting a new error (see image).

I'll try to include as much information as I possibly can:
The phone is an Atrix 2
I'm not sure which region New Zealand falls under, but I think it may be SEART
I've tried every option in the Vol Up + Vol Down boot menu, they all loop except for AP Fastboot
My "Carrier" is Telecom
I've search high and low, forums and google, and found nothing. I'm sure it'll be some simple mistake that is considered common knowledge around here, but for now I'm absolutely lost. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
You should use the fxz for your region..not AT n T fxz..that will solve your problem i guess

Was you on stock 2.3.6? Also, i dont know about your fxz's, but for us when coming from 2.3.6 there is a patch you must use for the original fxz in RSD Lite. It seems you have a softbrick or you are bootlooping. The patch should solve your issue.

I posted this really late at night and forgot to upload the right image! Oh well, I tried a SEARET ROM, and my phone is now working perfectly! :victory:
Thank you, the help was much appreciated

[Q] Apply security patch w/ rooted device?

Hello world! This is not my first run with android (by far) but it is the first time something like this "security patch " has come out.
I have a rooted N5 and im running 6.0 build MRA58K and continue to get prompted to install a security update.
My question is, is it safe to install this update, will i lose root or have to reroot? If i "unroot" the system with supersu and then install it after, would that work too? Also i would like to update my kernel to the newest version. Im running blu_spark build #30. Would i just reflash the kernel or do i have to jump through hoops by reflashing the rom first? I dont remember how it works
Thanks

Take a moment to learn how to properly flash a Nexus. You will forget toolkits very soon... You should also take a peek at kernel threads and SuperSU.
Learn and flash instead of flash and fix
NRT just does all of the fastboot commands for me instead of having to copypaste address locations by hand. However something did go wrong when i flashed supersu while booted into the wrong recovery (apparently i was in the temp one). So now im stuck with a boot loop, i guess i will have to reflash everything, its not a big deal. all backups have been made.
Ive been doing this a very long time

If you only knew how to manually use your Nexus, you wouldn't have posted this question:

Toolkits do "everything" for you and it doesn't help users to think for themselves.
I ask because i never know what kind of godamn changes happen between android versions.
Sometimes A LOT OF THINGS CHANGE which would make a previous known method of doing x not work.
I had to manually install TWRP, but its all done.

Well, I don't know about Primokorn, but personally I wouldn't take kindly to anyone calling me "a$$face" - not the ideal way to make friends in a community where you're asking for help...
Primokorn makes a perfectly valid point. If you read up on the changes, as most of us appear to do, you would not have to rely on Wugfresh keeping NRT up to date.
Primokorn 8,606 posts Thanks Meter: 5,059
0xicl33n 50 posts Thanks Meter: 17
Show a bit of respect for experience...
So you make a thread asking for help, then you carry on like this...when help and guidance is given. Next time just say thank you and leave it as that, or better yet do more reading than posting. And consider this your warning, and the only one I will give, now that you have resolved your issue, you can read the Forum Rules on conduct/posting.

Lg leon low storage memory HELP please flash other stock rom !

Hello, i currently have an LG H340N LTE smartphone and i have the europian vodafone version. Out of the box it comes with 3,45gb internal memory space but only 3.06 is usable (i uninstalled all the preinstalled apps that i could). The System Data (OS) takes about 4,63 gb. I am pretty desperate as i need at least those 450mb of extra space (it would be so great!) I saw on the internet other versions of H340N and they came with 3.45 gb usable space out of the box, i don't know why so i was thinking maybe of flashing another STOCK LG rom that has those 450 mb extra free internal storage space without losing my warranty or something. Please could someone skilled and kind enough help me with this one? I would greatly appreciate it !! thanks alot !!
you can root phone change rom kernel and whatever you find for your phone, when you use the tool of lg for restore the phone it will compleatly reset to stock rom like a new one!
using the lg tool for updating/debrand you're phone does not brake your warranty in most case, and if it will you can restore the version that you have now and nothing have never been happened! ?

If you flash the twrp for mate 9, this will happen. I tried it and obtained the same effect. I had to flash another twrp from this site
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/twrp-nougat-edition-t3504140
It is for the honor 8 but your mate 8 will be able to get into this recovery although not all functions work. However from this recovery you can still reboot, power off, go to recovery or to bootloader.
Ok so i got the twrp working, but now its deciding not to install any rom at all. It does the entire process as if it did and when i check for any install it says theres no OS.

You cannot use this twrp to install any rom. You need to use the dload method. If you want to go back to emui 4 or 4.1 you need to dload the update.app in the rollback package then dload the emui 4 rom.

This is the result of the "anti-rollback" protection feature in the device that prevents earlier (official) versions from being used. You need to find a newer version of the firmware or use the Samsung Kies while it's in the emergency (bootloader) recovery mode.
