This is the result of the "anti-rollback" protection feature in the device that prevents earlier (official) versions from being used. You need to find a newer version of the firmware or use the Samsung Kies while it's in the emergency (bootloader) recovery mode.

[I5801] Restoring original bootlogo

Some I5801 users have problem with boot logo, here is the way to restore if needed:
WARNING! Flashing the bootloader can be dangerous - I'm not responsible if you brick your phone!
1, Start odin, and put phone to download mode.
2, Download bootfile from attachment *extract from 7z* and select as boot file.
Your ODIN must look like this:

3, After flash you will have the i5801 boot logo, I tested with XXJPB, but I think will work with any other firmwares.
Suggestion: before flashing an i5800 firmware make an UNIX compatible tar without sbl, boot.bin - this will keep your bootscreen.
you are the man it worked thanks again i hope there will be many more helping guys like you.
thanks once again
Wow man, really appreciated.
Thanks it works.............Woopieee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I hate this phone. No cusom ROM
Registered now just to say thanks!
Back the original I5801DDJG6 firmware till a stable version of Froyo comes out for my region.
Confirming that it worked on my JPB..BTW flashing the I5801DDJG6 would otherwise indicate my device as an I5801, right? coz this just fixes the boot screen device name is still I5800, so i am guessing that depends on the pda..??

Hi Szaby59 i have made a german translation of this on the Android-Hilfe.de forum, you find the thread here: http://www.android-hilfe.de/samsung...801-bootlogo-wiederherstellen.html#post834118
i hope this is ok for you ;-)
btw, since flashing a bootloader is potentially dangerous you should add a disclaimer...
edit: oh, should have read to the end... lol
Most of firmwares are flashing the bootloader, I think it's not that dangerous.

Odin is not that reliable you know, if something goes wrong during bootloader flash you have a brick...
You need to do just once then remove the boot/sbl.bin from actual firmware and odin will not flash the bootloader.
i dont eaven have i5801, so i dont have to worry about bootloader flashing at all, i remove them before flashing anyway...
Szaby59 can u repost the screenshot of ODIN..its not visible..
Uploaded as attachment.
Thanx a lot dude...
Need Help before Boot Flashing..
i am using I5801.. Now I5800, JPB, Rooted..
Is ther any need to do factory reset before and after flashing...
and only that single boot.tar file we have to flash, no need of firmware aggregates..?

Not sure y u would need to, the i5801 IS a 5800 and only called 5801 because it was loaded with the crap for Orange
There is absolutely no need for a factory reset at all. Just flash like in the howto, no extra stepparent needed.
work for me in Froyo JPB...thanks a lot
Works perfectly on my Galaxy Froyo JPA..... Thanks...

If your having issues with the rom (and not sending the phone back), you could just try and flash a stock or stock based ROM and keep cwm. Its always good to have a backup option.

Sent from my SGH-T769 using xda app-developers app

[Q] [Verizon] Help with updating to 4.4.4

In order to flash an ota update you have to have the stock recovery among other things. You first problem is trying to ota with TWRP.

Flash the stock recovery. If you've changed any system files, chances are that won't work either. In that case, either revert the changes you've made to whichever system files you've changed or start over and flash a RUU to get back completely to stock.
Also, if you've removed any of Verizon's bloat, it will fail. There's a lot of things like this that can make it fail. If you aren't sure what you've changed and can't put it back the way it was when stock, it's probably easiest to just RUU and get back to stock that way. You'll be starting all over again but it might be easier than trying to figure out what changes you've made that are giving you trouble.
Also, if you're running a custom rom, it will fail. You need to be stock for it to work. S-Off isn't a problem and I don't believe being rooted is either. But the OS itself pretty much needs to be stock.
Trust me when I say that I'm trying to be helpful. You need to do some reading.
You could flash a copy of the stock recovery the same way you flashed twrp and if you didn't modify you system files much/any then you may be able to take the ota after that. Another option would be to run the ruu that doddat posted in his very useful thread. Alternatively, you could just flash 4.4.4 firmware and a sense based rom.
Back to my first point. You are bordering on messing with some things that could seriously cripple your expensive phone and your questions imply that you don't quite know what you're doing. I would recommend you read read read. Read all the stickies in each of the Verizon m8 subforums. Read up on fastboot and adb. You should fully understand the command "fastboot flash <partition> <filename>". It's concerning to not know how to get rid of twrp when you or (worse yet) someone else have already flashed it once.
There are very smart and very helpful people here who will help you if you get into trouble but the responsibility is yours till try and avoid those situations by educating yourself first. Best of luck and happy flashing.

I figured it out i just re-flashed stock recovery, updated then re-flashed TWRP and installed Viperone rom

Issues: Device Locked / daemon started successfully [SOLVED!!]

Hi All,
Sorry to bother you but I really had no option, and I had to create a new thread here to seek help.
I am trying to install a new ROM (maybe cyanogen) on my Motorola Razr HD XT925m but I am stuck with some issues. Almost any tutorial says to use motochopper and motopocalypse to do this. I have also found some tutorials that says to use RSDlite to install other ROMS.
The fact is that I can not do any of those procedures.
So far I have:
- Rooted my phone using IRoot and King Root. I was able to root, no issue here.
- Installed TWRP recovery 2.6.3.0 using Flashify. Not sure if it installed sucessfully as you will see below.
Well, after that I was trying to do the next step that is run the motochopper or motopocalypse, and what I see is the message "daemon started successfully" and nothing else happens.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
Another thing that several threads mention to do is the WIPEs in the recovery menu. But somehow my recovery has some issues:
- When I try to enter in the recovery, it shows the messages "Failed to hab check for recovery: 0x56 / Fastboot reason: Boot failure"
One last thing I was considering to to is install the Cyanogen using only flashfy. But I do not know if this is possible or I can have more issues with that.
So, that is it. Hope if anyone can help...
Best Regards!
Oscar

I updated my phone to nougat and immediately regretted it. Tried reverting and it worked sort of. Stuck on ancient russian firmware on NXT-L29C636B211. It really sucks and when i flash twrp its stuck at my device is booting. Im not sure what to do at all. Can anyone help me out here? I really need a bail out. I cant use any update packages outside of C636's line of firmwares.

If you flash the twrp for mate 9, this will happen. I tried it and obtained the same effect. I had to flash another twrp from this site
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/twrp-nougat-edition-t3504140
It is for the honor 8 but your mate 8 will be able to get into this recovery although not all functions work. However from this recovery you can still reboot, power off, go to recovery or to bootloader.
Ok so i got the twrp working, but now its deciding not to install any rom at all. It does the entire process as if it did and when i check for any install it says theres no OS.

You cannot use this twrp to install any rom. You need to use the dload method. If you want to go back to emui 4 or 4.1 you need to dload the update.app in the rollback package then dload the emui 4 rom.
