As topic says, is there a sticker over the camera on the D800 variation?
I've looked very closely and I cannot seem to tell 100%. There is no pull tab or blue ring described in other versions.
The reason I ask is because photos seem to have a foggy look to them. I did clean the camera covering very well and it seemed to improve the issue very slightly but it wasn't exactly dirty to begin with.
If there is a sticker does anyone have photos to show me a before/after, or video? I don't want to peel off what appears to be a protective lens plate.
On a side note: does this particular model come with headphones? Mine didn't ... box wasn't shrink wrapped but I don't think any of them are. I called AT&T and this phone has never been used with their network. Doesn't mean it wasn't used with another GSM carrier, but lessens the chance of a refurbish.
bump
Mine did not have a sticker. Just got it brand new from amazon. Hopefully your lens isn't damaged or dirty on the inside.

Hi everyone recently I noticed a spot on my pictures when I take them with my phone I thought its a spec or a piece of dirt so I took the back cover off and opens the camera cover and cleaned every thing but I still have that spot like it appears in this photo any help. I never dis assembeled my phone so it can't be a scratch.

How long have you had the phone, reason being is that you said you "recently noticed". Also, you said you cleaned the the camera cover, did you check the lens as well?
yes i cleaned the lens with lens cleaner and micro fiber , i also opened the camera cover and pulled the cam out and cleaned it and made sure no specs, i had the phone since it was first brought to t-mobile in April, its so confusing me i checked every thing could it be a damage to the sensor.
Not sure. Did you try a pic without the back cover on, even though you cleaned it?
Yes those pics are without any thing between the can lens an the paper no back cover no camera cover. And also I can't find a replacement online I can't even find a broken g2x to buy to get its camera I am desperate

I can supply you with a pn# for the camera if it helps.
Hey,
I just noticed that the glass in front oft the camera is broken, has this happened to anyone else?

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like it basically split in half? Damn. That sucks. I was thinking about how that could happen earlier today.
Unfortunately I took a look for a few minutes for a replacement part, but it isn't part of the back cover, nor is it part of the actual camera assembly and I cannot seem to find it on its own.

When you take off the back plate and remove 7 Screws for the top half a camera lens assembly comes off heres the replacement

Refer to Youtube in the disassemble of nexus 5 and follow that but stop when they reach that part
Also the Back camera glass cover isn't gorilla glass or any sapphire glass like what Apple used its just a regular piece of glass (Source LG)
Yeah, I looked it up online, but it's a 30 dollar part. I was afraid of might be visible on pictures taken with the phone, but surprisingly it isn't.
I might just now buy a case, since I am getting pretty tired of the low durability of this phone. I never even dropped it but if I did I could imagine that it would just shatter into a thousand pieces

Fwiw, mine has the exact same crack!
Phone never dropped!
If you decide to fix it yourself and are successful, please take pictures along the way to help others with the issue and possibly make a guide. Or add to one if there is one already.

From my mobile telephony device.
Had the same problem, lens full crack
Went back to mediamarkt.
They charge €100 for repair
So went for some part on ebay.
I only bought the lens + case. Not the full frame.
Did the repair. No pics
But broke one clip of the back cover...
Then I found the lens case was constructed to the frame by some plastic rots that were melted. Had to mill those away. And used glue to replace the case.
It worked out wel. But next time I would go for the complete frame
Over the past few days my pictures have started looking like they were all taken in a 1920s jazz club.
I took a photo on the 9th of my living room setup that came out perfectly clear. The next day I noticed that pictures were coming out a little fuzzy, having a hard time focusing, and there appeared to be a slight film on the lens cover. The picture I post below is from today and the haze seems to cover almost the entire lens cover.
I removed the film the day I purchased the phone and haven't made any changes to my daily routine that may have brought this about.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Hair dryer on medium for a minute or so? Should I RMA? Anyone else having this problem?
Is there any kind of condensation under the lens?

I can't tell what it is but there is definitely something under the lens. However, I checked the water indicator in the sim tray and it seems to still be white.
Edit: I know you can't really tell anything from those photos. In the first one, even though it is out of focus, you can tell there is definitely something on the lens.
I can't tell much by the photos, but the camera and finger sensor ship with protective vinyl covers. The one on my finger sensor was particularly hard to remove because it was cut and aligned so perfectly, there was no lip to grab. I had to use tweezers to remove it.

Yeah, I distinctly remember the fingerprint protector being a pain to remove. That's why I know there isn't a protector on the lens...

Ah, I completely missed that in your OP. My S6 takes the best photos of any phone I've ever owned, I have zero complaints about that. Your photo is definitely hazy. I have never taken a photo like that. If you are still in your return period, you should exchange it.

There is definitely something wrong there. Return the device while you can.
Can't really tell from the pics, but you might have condensation in the inner elements of the compound lens.

Thanks, gents. Looks like I'll be filing a warranty replacement on Monday.
The only thing I can think is that when I went for a run with it in an armband the morning it started and somehow sweat got in there. I guess they weren't kidding when they removed the water proof rating from the s5.
I attached a couple pictures from before it started. This camera seriously is phenomenal.
Ladies and Gents, please look into youtube for V20 videos. SOME SCENES clearly show a fine line in the middle of the video in most of what I saw.
This is NOT the only example out there, you gotta youtube for more.
Trust me, I tried not to see it, but it is there. Like there are two joint lenses on top of the camera. Seriously, this is the last thing that held me back to buy it.
im not seeing what you are describing
I'm not seeing the line you mentioned, but wow the video quality on this phone is unreal can't wait to get mine.
No line for me on my v20 looks good!

I haven't seen the issue either.
There's a protective film on the camera lens like there was on the back. One recommendation I saw was to leave it on to help protect an apparently fragile lens cover. Perhaps yours has a defect in the film?
There's actually 2 protective films on the camera. One smaller circle covers the lens area itself and can be easily removed. The other goes around the entire glass area and is harder to remove. It sounds like the smaller one could be slightly off center and was not removed.
I just applied a back protector from imak. It's a wet applied protector so I've spent more time looking closely at the back of my phone than previously.
Specifically the camera area and I noticed my camera module doesn't sit in the center of the glass circle. There is actually a void at the top of the black around the lens itself.
I'm going to try to get some pics but curious if anyone else sees this on their device. I haven't noticed any issues with photos but I'm not sure if it's always been like this or if this has slowly progressed to this location and will become a problem in the future.
Just curious.
Thanks.
Edit:
After reviewing it further, laying it flat on a surface so the phone is in the horizontal position centers it in the glass.
When phone is in vertical position, any orientation the lens is moved. I assume it's related to camera hardware (gyroscope or something I think I read about?) But it is still concerning how off center it is. Just hope it's always been like that and isn't slowly deteriorating.
Sent from my HTC U11 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Nope, mine is dead centre and does not move at all.
Beamed in by telepathy
It's the Optical image stabilization module that makes the lens move when you tilt the phone in certain positions, nothing wrong mate.
