I noticed the option to add a performance tile in the quick settings for CyanogenMod 12 (pictures included as attachments).
When I slide down the navigation drawer, the tile says 'power save', but does nothing upon click.
Does anybody have any clue what this tile actually does?

Probably changes max CPU frequency
Thank you
It isn't actually toggling the max CPU frequently, so I guess it is currently a broken feature, ah well
Yeah, I can confirm: The performance tile doesn't do anything right now [emoji14] I'm pretty sure our devs will sort it out soon... they're doing an amazing job!

One thing I've found tremendously rare when it comes to ROM development is the use of PIE when only in Expanded Desktop/Immersive mode.
Most ROM's here offering PIE and Expanded desktop allow you enable both at the same time, but don't allow you to toggle PIE on only when in Immersive Mode.
The only rom so far i've found is PA.
So why is it that all these roms are bundling PIE, like SlimPie, but are making it so even in expanded desktop, the navbar buttons are still visible and pie doesn't take over?
To me this feels like common sense, or is the case that most people don't like pie, or don't bother expanding their desktop?
All the ROMs that include pie allow you to expand the desktop and remove the nav keys. Slim does for sure. SlimPIE is how PIE used to be when it was first developed by the PA team (pre-4.4).
PA first developed PIE, years ago. Since then Android has come such a long way that the use of PIE and its implementation has also evolved into something useful, when its needed. For instance, android never had "immersive mode" before 4.4, so initially PIE was thereto allow more use of your screen's real estate.
Some people liked how it was (see PA 3.99, which is not on the Nexus 5 because it's based on Jellybean), and for those SlimPIE and all the other ROMs that include it are there to use, but it's an old way of thinking and the PA team is about innovation.
Of course you can read about all this somewhere, I don't have a link though, I just remember cause I been around a while.
I am using AOSP rom with gravity box. What I do is enable PIE, then the immers mode only hide statusbar. Then I set every diemnsion of the navbar to 0 px (width, height), because if I disable navbar the three dot menu button disappears from the apps. I set immersmode to only hide statusbar because in full immers if I swipe up from the bottom to activates PIE then the statusbar becomes visible which I do not want.

I totally agree. I have no idea why ROMs that have Pie do not automatically switch to Pie when going into Immersive Mode. Everything is supposed to be about ease of use and swiping up to unhide the navbar and then touch the screen again to press a button is silly IMO. Also if you happen to be on a scrollable list or in an app with an up swipe gesture many times it'll trigger that too.
Anyways this can be accomplished on SlimKat using Chamber of Secrets. Someone had created a profile to be imported into Tasker on the thread.

Thanks for explaining this, it makes sense. I wish roms had the latest version of PIE instead, if not, I wish they added an option to simply disable nav bar instead of pie when you set both to appear bottom of screen. Unlike current behaviour which is to disable pie at bottom when navbar is also at bottom.

If I understand right, doesn't this mean that you have to use pie regardless of immersive mode or not? I am looking to have it toggle on when immersive is on and off when immersive is off.

A profile for tasker that automates toggling nav bar off and pie on, only when in immersive mode and then nav bar on again and pei off when out of immersive mode?
I am just glad PA has what I want and even better now with Peek and Hover being added too. But I do miss simple things from other roms, such as certain toggles, dpi changes etc. Although ive managed to find apps/widgets to replace those functionalities. I simply opened the thread because I thought it was rather strange.

Yes. It reads a system intent and then changes to Pie based on the system ui change. I don't have mine set up like that personally. I only use Expanded mode on certain apps or when the phone is in landscape mode on certain apps, etc. and have profiles set to kill the nav bar and enable expanded desktop mode. I just always leave bottom pie enabled and once the navbar is removed pie comes into play. Works perfectly.

That is true, because of the way PIE is disabled when Nav Bar exists, it means you shouldn't have to have an option to disable PIE also when you leave Immersive.
I just wish every rom had an option to enable PIE action to copy PA
Exactly, you'll find while other ROMs have a ton of features, PAs is the most elegant implementation. It may take a little longer cause they're rewriting everything from scratch but it'll be well worth it..as is evidenced by this latest release.
Many people have already found out that the sounds tiles are gone in CM12s. Has anyone yet found a way of adding the tiles back in? I know you can set the notification priority to none, but I personally prefer silent, vibrant modes (I heard that we can switch the mode on the virtual navigation bar). I really need the camera tile in notification drawer back as well. Anyone knows if cyanogen mod is bringing it back or is it simply impossible or a way of reflecting the opinion officially?
Thx a lot
I thought it was an obvious choice to implement the system profile tile in the status bar when pulled down. I'm running LineageOS 14.1 on OnePlus One and I didn't see this option. If LineageOS is a CyanogenMod based ROM then I have to inform you that before with CM native OPO firmware I could put system profile tile in the status bar.
It is very frustrating and time consuming to go to settings, search for system profiles and toggle between them when going at uni, work etc.
Please add this feature ASAP
Thanks

I just got my new Pixel 2 and I am loving it so far. I used to have Samsungs/HTCs before I moved to Pixel. I used to use the volume tile icon to toggle between ringer and vibrate modes. Since I go to a lot of impromptu meetings, this tile was very useful. I could change the volume setting to ringer/vibrate/silent based on the type of meeting I was in. I don't see a similar tile or any other way to quickly toggle between vibrate/full volume/mute modes or the option to have the volume bar on the first pulldown of the menu.
How do I get this feature on my Pixel 2? Is there any way to add more tiles that are not provided in the default list?
Thank you.
Yeah there is

If you only want the volume tile, the links from jaggillararla are what you want.

Known issues:
- Navigation bar glitches sometimes.
- Since it's Android Q you may have problems with certain apps not working properly. You will have to tell the developer of the certain app to update their app to be compatible with Android Q. This is not a problem with the ROM.
- 1.3gb system partition is required to be able to flash this ROM.
- Some Havoc features may be missing or not working properly.
- Settings app force closes when you go to havoc configuration section and click on the section for power menu so as of right now you are unable to enable advance reboot and other power menu items. Hopefully i can still find a fix for this in the next build.

Thanks for good Havoc OS to all developers! I try it. Here are some results:
Some settings don't seem to work: Smart charging, Power Button enhanced functionality.
I did not find a setting for doubletap2wake. With app Kernel Adiutor then OK.
Smal problem on activate AdAway (write to \etc\hosts file)- goes through Magisk Module.
YouTube Vanced OK.
Viper4Android causes bootloop after reboot. But can be an app problem ... Same on AOSP.
Hope for updates soon. Thanks an JT1510365 and folowmsi
Thanks for the ROM but the installation of the ROM TWRP I get error 7 how can I fix.

Maybee this post cann help you. First check for new partitionig (1,3GB) and for correct ROM version (flo/deb).
I was on same problem couple days ago. Solution for me was a reboot into recovery after repartitioning.
Not many information in this thread, but problems and solutions are similar to other Custom Roms.
For me a very good ROM. Only GPS withoud funktion on my flo???
We hope for a new build.

Here Rom testing results as feedback
Clean install with pico gapps and magisk
Stability OK but for me momentaly not for daily using. Found some glitches:
GPS seems not working. Try more test apps but without success.
DoubleTap2wake only with using app Kernel Adiutor (here select opt halfscreen )
Battery life not good. Without activity (nights) take about 35% of energy in 7 hours.
I really like this ROM.
I miss the First Run App from Pixel Experience. I use it to Restore from Cloud.
On both N7's running Havoc, I can't change the Buttons to add Screenshot to the Power Menu. It crashes and restarts Settings the 1st time I try. The 2nd time I get a 'Keeps Crashing' message with 3 options.
Thanks for keeping the N7's alive!

Hey buddy actually those button options that your talking about where you cant add screenshot to the navigation bar those options are actually for the devices hardware keys/buttons not the on screen navigation keys/buttons. Our Nexus 7 doesnt have hardware keys it only has the on screen buttons so none of those options will work so unfortunately there is no option to add other functions to the navigation bar. Hope this helps.
Hmmm...I must have phrased that poorly.
In Configuration Center>Buttons, there's a selection for Power Menu, where I wanted to add Screenshot to.
But, when I select it, I'm returned back to the previous screen and am not able to add Screenshot to the Power Menu.
Is there a different procedure I'm missing?
Thanks again!

I just want to thank you for a great Android 10 custom ROM for my Nexus 7 2013.
The best one I've found and runs great
Hi JT1510365,
that I can run my old Nexus 7 again with a current ROM is a great pleasure. Thank you very much for this! :good:
What I noticed so far:
- Smart Charging does not work, the tablet is charged up to 100%.
- Various weather and GPS apps report that no GPS is available. GPS data is not available, as if there was no GPS hardware
Greetings, Django
I have noticed that smart charging problem as well. I set the smart charge to 92% but it always charges up to the full 100%.
Fixing this issue would be great.
Thanks
Gord
Thanks for updating this ROM.
I have HAVOC on other devices and it is really running well at version 3.5.
Just wondering when the next update for HAVOC (Android 10) rom for flo will be released and how often can we expect updates. Last one I have is April 9, 2020.
Thanks for all your great work producing these excellent custom roms. Gord
