I have TWRP recovery 2.8.4.0 for this device and when I start it shows a disclaimer in red from this program. How do I get rid of that annoying message? It shows on the boot splash image and while recovery is loading.
I assume you're talking about the red text "this software is for development purposes..." message on your splash screen. There are files posted in a thread about firmwares by tigerstown I think. He calls them hboot_no_red_text or something like that. I don't know what firmware you're on but as I recall those files have been updated for each new firmware release so be sure to double check that what you're flashing matches what you're running.

I'm having issues getting recovery to work on a Verizon version xoom. I first flashed CWM version 4.0.0.4. The first time I tried to boot into it, it was stuck on the android with the red triangle for a long time before finally getting into it (coincidentally when I was hitting the volume key, don't know if that's related). Anyway, since then I haven't been able to get into it. It will be suck on the red triangle screen for a minute or two before rebooting into the stock rom (I'm running stock ICS). Since then, I've tried flashing the new TWRP 2.2.2 or whatever version it is and it has no effect. It's still doing the same thing. Any clue what's wrong?
So what I'm reading is suggesting that the android guy I'm seeing is the stock recovery. I'm not sure how that's happening. I'm installing the recovery using fastboot on my PC and being in the bootloader on my xoom. The prompts on both appear to confirm success.
I haven't tried this yet as I'm at work, but I think I've got the issue sorted. The following is what appears to be happening from what I've read.
1. I've still got the custom recovery stalled. When the Android guy pops up, one needs to press volume up to enter the options. Otherwise, it reboots.
2. The recovery flashes are taking because I'm booting back into the rom after a flash. The system's built in recovery protection is re-flashing the original recovery at that point.
3. To make my CWM/TWRP/whatever flash stick, I'll need to power down and then boot directly into the recovery.
I'll post again tonight to say if this works. Hopefully this thread can help out others who have the same issue.
If you don't get that to work fastboot img from link..

This isn't a double post; other resolved posts are too specific.
I have an IdeaUSA CT702, commonly referred to as an A777. It's rooted and I think the bootloader is unlocked (can't tell because one of my last posts wasn't answered: Fastboot Devices = ?).
The problem:
I recently modified my build.prop and replaced it with some corrupted one that I found online to allow for more compatibility (ie. Gameloft Apps). After restarting my tablet, the splash showed, finished loading, but didn't continue on to show the "android" boot logo. I then restarts after some point in time. The black screen that it stops on is fastboot mode (my fastboot is just a black screen for some reason. It always was. What should I flash? My original build.prop is attached in a zip file.
I also ripped my boot.img and recovery.img (I don't have CWM rocovery, there is no compatible one) earlier just for no reason. I don't have a nandroid backup, and I didn't rip the system.img. I can boot into recovery and fastboot, just not normal boot, so perhaps we could flash an update.zip? I also tried using UniFlash 1.2 and the build.prop editor but for some reason it always reverts back to the corrupted version when I restart the program. Why is this?
well iv'e got the 4.4.4 update for my moto g, the update stopped in the middle and then at text screen on the phone it's said the package as an error or something i guess and asked should it install untrusted zip so i did it and my phone was up again only to power off and on every half a minute.
so i want to to text screen((when you press POWER+volume down botton ) and chose the clock work recovery and the phone went back to work again as before with the kit kat 4.4.2 with no power off.
but yet again the device asked me to update to 4.4.4 and i'm an idiot so i did again, before end i cancelled the root on my phone(cause i thought the update stuck because the device is rooted) and let the update install itself again i got the text screen saying there is an error but now it would not let me install the untrusted zip cause i dont have root privileges, i tried to flash the phone with CWR and it said: "mismatched partition size (recovery)" i guess cause i flashed before end with CWR.
so i flashed my device with the TWRP recovery and did wipe (or installed the untrusted zip again, i don't remember) and the device once again was up again.
i again did the 4.4.4 update(yep i'm a idiot i know) and again it stuck, so i again tried to wipe via TWRP and reset the device, before i reset twrp said there is no asked me if it should install the supersu and pressed yes even though i used to towelroot.
now my phone when i turning it on, now its stuck on the screen in the image attached and wont start, if i press POWER+volume button for a few a seconds on the stuck screen i can access the text screen so i tried to flash it again with CWR and TWRP but it says "mismatched partition size (recovery)".
so the device stuck on the screen in the image and i cant flash it with TWRP or CWR, so i tried the recovery option in the text screen but it only shots down the phone.
is there any other recovery besides TWRP or CWR that i can flash my phone with? is there any other way besides flashing it there is not any other alternatives to those two flashes?

No.
And please use search. 'Mismatched partition size' has enough results to get you on your way. Flashing the stock rom from fastboot will probably be your solution, but have a look at similar problems that can be found on the forum.

i got the phone in Andorra
Hello guys,
I did a remarkably stupid thing and can no longer boot my Zenfone 5.
I had rooted my phone earlier. But I applied an OTA update from Asus on top of it. It seems I have bricked the phone now as the phone seems to be in a boot loop.
I tried flashing the fastboot and recovery images by following the instructions at asus zentalk forum.
The messages say that flashing was successful. But when I try to go into recovery, it still goes in to the newest recovery version (which is from the OTA update) and not the one I flashed.
I still tried to flash the rom image but I get an assert error about a date not being in range. I then tried to edit the update script to remove the assert line, but then the signatures could not be verified. I think the problem is because recovery image is not the right version. I tried several different recovery images with no success.
Also, when i boot into recovery from droidboot right after flashing recovery, it goes to the dead android screen with the "No Command" text. I cannot go into recovery from here. But if I reboot the system from droidboot and then switch off the phone when it boot loops, I am able to go into recovery mode from the "No Command" screen by pressing power button + volume up once. May be it is because I attempt to boot that I am not able change my recovery?
Can someone help? Or point me in the right direction?
Thank you for taking the time to go through that lengthy post...
So I have been tinkering with the phone and decided to try Resurrection Remix v5.5.8 for Zenfones. It seems to be working pretty good. Anyone having my problem can follow that thread for a solution to the problem...
