Hi,
Yesterday my peregrine (moto g lte, running CM12 & twrp 2.8.3.0) shut down for no reason and wasn't able to reboot., it just seemed dead.
After pressing volume down + power for about two minutes, it manages to get into fastboot mode.
At this point, it was detected by the PC as Qualcomm USB something but I wasn't home so I let it this way thinking I would be able to restore the stock firmware later.
Today it's completely dead. It's not detected by any PC (linux/windows) and when I plug it into a PC or the wall charger, there is just the LED that lights on.
Is there anything I can do to revive it ? Do you have any leads ?

Hello. Yesterday i unlocked my bootloader and tried to install kitkat with the t-mobile version on my moto x
However rsd stop at step 6/10 and my moto x is now complete black. When i tried to turn it on, it just vibrates. When i plug it to the charger, it just vibrates too. I can't enter to fastboot or anything.
Its something i can do?

I keep pushing and pushing power on + volume down and after a few tries the phone starts in fastboot mode. However after a few minutes it shut downs. What can i do?
I havent tried anymore, I just left the phone pluged to the charger hoping the solution is the battery.

Hello guy's i'm new too this site, My moto G has been suffering problems since i installed kitkat . .
I then reinstalled it to stock rom and it was the wrong version, it was for an EE phone were as mine is actually unlocked.
my phone lights up once with the moto g sign when i turn it on and i have seconds to get it into bootloader mode via wallplug.
The problem is i need my bootloader to show on my phones screen when i plug it in the pc but it comes up for like a second and a half then goes off. I have read nearly all these forums and theres not alot i can see about this type of problem so please somebody help.
Also if i get bootloader on the screen via wall plug and try disconnecting to plug in pc it just goes off also. Stuck humm :I(

So, when you press Power + Vol down while connected to a computer nothing happens?
Doesn't make sense that you can only get into download mode when plugged on a wallplug.
How about when you are not plugged in at all? Can you still get into download mode??

Nope only with power to it, so if i try bootload it with no power phone will just stay dead and wont register. When i put in the pc and try vol + and power bootloader just flashes on and off once and phone dies so at this point im erm f**ked?

Hmmm.. Unless you can get into download mode, I'm afraid you are out of luck...
What exactly did you do when you flashed the "stock version for the EE phone? (what does EE mean?)
I don't understand how a ROM for the Moto G can screw up download mode...

I guess this only works if you have a Moto G that don't want to power on and if you plug in a pc is recognized like "qhsusb_bulk"..
Be sure to read the thread carefully...
And adb doesn't work?

Maybe you need to let it charge, or your battery simply died.... try using a factory cable
If you can reach Bootloader (even in a wallplug) the Bloader isn't failing...
Sounds like a electrical problem
Soo i was using the phone , all fine , some time later it stopped recognizing my sim card soo i simple reboot (already did the same thing to fix that 'error') soo after my phone shutted down it wont turn on anymore! it looks like dead phone , cant acess nothing .
When i came back home i plugged in and noticed that the notification led was blinkin ( 1 second interval beetwen blinks)
Already did the procedures (pressing power for 2 minutes , vol down + power (fastboot) for 2 mins and nothing!)
Anything that i can do or its a dead phone ?

I'd try a different usb cable / wall charger or charge via usb port.

I had this problem with my Moto G 2013 (xt1032). I was installing a ROM with TWRP but, unfortunately, the process failed. I decided to leave TWRP and proceed into recovery mode in order to install the stock rom by adb. Right before leaving TWRP, a pop up showed up saying "No OS installed. Are you sure you wish to proceed?" After that, the phone turned off, and I tried going into recovery mode (vol -, power button), and it wasn't working. That was when I found out my phone was dead. I've tried to hold the vol - and the power button for like 2 min and it didn't work. I have also tried the "blank-flash.bat" method but it didn't work as well because there is no OS installed on my phone. I have done lots of research on pushing a ROM but I don't really think that is going to work. If any of you guys can help me on this I would be really glad because I really loved this device. Thanks! (forgot to mention that my PC recognizes my phone and that every time I connect my phone to the USB cable, the LED blinks and every time I hold the power button for 6 seconds, the LED blinks and I think the phone restarts or something.) Hi my fellow XDA people,
I recently got a Zenpad S 8.0 (Z580CA) for close to nothing and I loved the little thing. However it was still running 6.0.1 and I decided I wanted a custom ROM and root it. Starting with some guides how to unlock the bootloader I started with the whole ADB/Fastboot thing, but it got stuck and now I got a bricked device
The situation now:
Charging works fine
The tablet starts, but without the ASUS logo and immediately enters a bootloop with the following:
the Android robot with a hardhat
A USB image with the text: "No USB Cable connected!" (No matter if there is or isn't any USB cable connected)
To fix it I'm hoping to get to a recovery/droidboot menu to do a hard reset or update from SD or via a PC, but I've tried the following without any result:
Power + volume up
Power + volume down
Power + volume up + volume down
Drain the battery and one of the options above
Connecting to a PC and using adb/fastboot/asus flashtool
Unfortunately this option doesn't work, because the PC only recognizes the tablet for a second when the android man shows, but disconnects as soon as the " no usb cable connected!" is in screen.
A different Cable/PC makes no difference
I'm afraid it's really dead now, but I'm hoping anyone has an idea or finds this a challenge .
