Hey wussup xda-devs
We're BIpbop games and we made this little indie action game Reflect Yoself: Drawing Action!
Very hard and dare to say fun
Screenshots attached.
Description:
Draw the lines with your finger to make cute monster bounce in desired direction. This simple game is a hard and fun challenge for your orientation ability - You'll need to predict and aim where you wanna reflect by drawing a line in front of your moving player to change his course. It's really easy to play but hard to master.
Avoid a cloudy cloud and eat as many lemons as you can. If you grab 'em fast and bounce, you'll be awarded with bonus points for that action. Now you can show your precision by quickly lightning three torches in a row and get few points extra.
Install:
For now you can install it from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bipbop.Reflect
What do you guys think? Do you like it? Somebody just made 250+ points, can you o better?
Thanks for your time and happy reflecting!
That really is challenging. I like the gameplay a lot. It could maybe use some more instruction as new things appear, for instance I have no idea what the bomb looking things are supposed to do
Thanks... yeah those 3 things are supposed to be torches and you need to fire all three of em in a row to get a precision bonus
Nice music and sounds, I like it. And it's not easy to play, something like Flappy Bird (but it's not that hard). Here is how it looks. Also, I appreciate that there are no unnecessary permissions for this apk!
nice game!
Thanks guys... :highfive: we're doing our best to deliver the best possible product we (us two) can!
Any feedback is much appreciated...
Cheers!
We got reviewed by guys from Essential Android:

I don't know if one brags with 3/5 but hey... it's our firs review!
Cheers!
Do you guys think this gonna help our newbies better control the player? https://twitter.com/bipbopgames/status/576793937928675330

Thanks man... yeah it's really hard to see the real picture because we have so little downloads and those we have are pretty much from our friends & family... so... we're still trying to do some marketing and get more downloads and then it would be probably be more clear if the game is good or not... We love it but, you know... if it doesn't get to users, it's not that good
So,, do you maybe have some advice on mobile game marketing? I found this good but kinda old resource http://www.pixelprospector.com/the-big-list-of-indie-game-marketing/
Thankss!
New and fresh screenshots attached ^_^

Really like the gameplay and art style. Some explanation might be needed for the precision bonus, but it became clear after a few games.

Thanks!
As I wrote in the Play Store review, it's a nice game, addictive and tough to play.
The only glitch is the piece drag movement which is not as smooth as it should be: the pieces don't follow the fingertips easily.
Keep up the great work!
A wonderful game. I played 35 levels. Extremely addictive. On my GT-S5660 running with no problems. The author thanks.
Bought it and played first four levels. Like it!
Liked the game. But it seems bit slow in my Galaxy S2, specially in the home screen.
Btw a few tutorial levels will make the app more exciting.
nice, thanks
This game looks nice Not the kind of easy game, like it. Kind of a brain trainer.

Exactly what I was about to say. I'm sure not every fram needs to be drawn when you move the finger - just make sure you draw where the finger was last. Like it is now it is a great puzzle game that is too hard to play for for me keep interest. A shame ):
Thanks guys, I am still improving the game engine ... just I am not sure about smoothnes of move, I play it on Galaxy S2, and I think pieces are following the finger quite exactly ... could you explain in more details please ?

Hello, thank you for feedback, I would like to improve game engine, just I am not sure about drawing you mentioned ... I redraw whole screen, as it is drawn in OpenGL, but there should be no blinking or some other problems with that ? Also pieces should move to place where you touch the screen, but you need to hold the finger down, till the piece scrolls there ... could you give me example of some wrong movement ? I would check it then and fix it ...

Hi,
thank you very much!
I like to do short review because I think most of us want just to understand how to play the game and try it.
Anyway I'm Italian and I'm not that good to write in English.
I hope it's understandable!

I liked your review and I've downloaded the game because of it. However, I felt that it lacked a personal touch. It's always nice to know what to expect of a game and how to play it. But 'It a really nice game and if you like old style platform games you’ll definitely enjoy playing it.' seemed to be a little too short. Well, at least for me.
Anyway, you made me get the game

Hi katerinette,
I agree with you it's a bit short but I'm trying to improve my skills.
It's just a bit tricky for me because I'm Italian and a developer. I have some difficult to write in proper English and at the same time you maybe know how much concise are developers!
Anyway I hope next reviews will be better.
Thank you for reading my review!
Hello everyone, I want to tell you about a new game which was developed by me and one dude in 4 month.
This game is really casual and hard as it turned out for players. Honestly saying casuality of this game is high and you can wonder why this game develope so long time. Unfortunately gamedev is not predicatable thing - seems to be easy, but seems to be no. It seems to be a cool, but it seems to be no. I wrote to 8 publishers (maybe incorrectly I guess and they havn't read), but only one replied, it is LeTang.
Before final verion they said they are quite interested with this game, however when they got a final version for test they denied it. Their arguments were they already have several same games and this game is not outstanding.
Okay, that's alright, whatever, but 4 month of development were behind our backs. Nothing is left only we could try to publish this game by ourselfs.
If you enjoyed with Flappy Bird, you will like Get The Mouse too. But don't think it is a clone, not at all, even game mechanics much more different and diverse, just if gamer could get more then 5 scores in Flappy Bird he will be able to get much more in Get The Mouse or maybe he will can get to the end. Yes, this game has the end but no levels, only one tunnel 200 meters long.
You will pull out the mouse by its tail and don't let it glut oneself cheese, because if it eating the cheese it growing and finally just will stuck in tunnel. And here is an example of tunnel
You can decrease size of the mouse you just need to tap fast on it and it will fart (sorry) and get smaller. Sometimes. when everything is complicated, there is a possibility to use time dilation and while it acts you can decrease its size. Oh yes most hardcore players can gather the coins by their fingers, but is not necessary, because scores will be converted to coins. You can't buy coins for real money.
And finally here is a promo video from youtube
Quality of video is bad, but there was no resources or skills for better.
And here is a link to Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lennon.mouse.android
P.S Let's discuss! I would be glad to answer to your questions if you have some. Also I wonder to read any criticism. I want to discuss this game with other people if someone will be interested to discuss. Thank for you time!
How many other threads goes above this thread.... Does anybody has any comments, please?

Hello again!
Guys, I'm disappointed how Google Play gives and output of search results. On my PC I see this game on 64-th place whe searching "Get The Mouse" without quotes. And on my phone I see it on 14-th place. I wonder how many people stops searching Get The Mouse when they don't see it after two or more scrolls to the bottom of the page.
It looks really hard, but only at first look. Can you make posting of scores? I got 4538 scores, I wonder is there somebody else who could get more?

It is depends on motivation. More users - more motivation. I think I will implement leaderboards using Google Play services. More over I will make multiplier using Google Play services too.
It's a pretty fun game good work. Which engine did you use and how long did it take you to make?

Engine is LIBGDX and it was took about 4 monthes with some periodical rests. We had not much time for game.
Good idea for this sort of game. Usually games where you are punished for hitting the wall just end on hitting the wall, and leave a frustrated user (me!). With your game you can continue playing, if the mouse has not gotten to fat, and therefore it's fun to play.
Nice game. I really like the graphics In your promo video, I suggest that you use some sort of screen capture software to do that instead of using camera. That's a huge minus point for your game promotion
Great! Like this app!!

Thank you for advise. I think I will do it, but later, becase I'm focused on multiplayer mode now.
I am developing and regularly updating Ateroyd in my free time since Oct 2014. It combines simple one-tap controls together with shooting, upgrading, increasing difficulty and secrets. The graphics have been hand-drawn by Dan-Nha Huynh. Furthermore, the musician Julian Colbus composed the track "Space Rave" for the last level of Ateroyd, which can be also listened to on soundcloud (link below). Furthermore, music from Kevin MacLeod and Multifaros is used (CC 3.0, see ingame credits).

Space Rave by Julian Colbus on Soundcloud
Impressive. Did not expect much from a first App, but here everything fits together and it's really fun!
Thanks! If you find anything what could be improved, please let me know!
Uhm... good question. It's already pretty round. Maybe you can add leaderboards so I can challenge my friends?
The graphics look impressive for someone who's only startig! I'll make to sure to dl it when I get home.
Thanks alot for testing my game. Adding leaderboards is added to my TODO-list
I'll forward the compliment for the graphics to my girlfriend, she was doing the
hand-drawn graphics. Glad that you like it

Well, I think I don't count? There are currently 2 ways of implementing a leadearboard, a proven working one via setting up a webserver and the way I prefer via Google Play games. Unfortunately, this is the hard way since Clickteam Fusion does not support it natively (this is a pitty!!). Let's see how hard it is to write an CF extension which does the job properly...
Cute animations and has simple fun mechanics that gets addictive on you.
Great work
Typed on my Xperia Z3 while underwater.
nice graphics
Thank you so much That motivates me alot to continue improving the game with further updates!

I've recently finished my first game for android and I need opinions from people other than my family and friends, who can only praise me.

Could you tell me what did you mean by strange controls? I wanted it to be hard, but not "hard to play", if it makes any sense.
It's a really nice game if you want to kill some minutes. It's fun to play it and you really want to improve your highscore. In my opinon it's a little bit harder than flappy bird or something like this but everybody who visits this thread should give it a try
At first I had problems with the controls, but that was a failure with my current custom Rom and had nothing to do with the app.
it looks like typical good run/arcade game, but static backgrounds isn't cool. IMHO
Great game ! It is very well done, with attention to details like performance, music, graphics. This is not common in many 2D android games. I heavily recommend trying it !

I'm glad to hear that you liked it. About it being harder than flappy bird... It wasn't my intention, but it can be. It's a little harder to learn, but when you get the grasp of it, mechanics are easy (but still hard to master!). Also, I'm pretty sure, that it can be a lot more rewarding than flappy bird.

Hey there, I tried your game out and I'd like to share my feedback with you.
It took me a few minutes to realize that I could tap the right side of the screen to keep the copter up in the air. Maybe have a little "tutorial" at the beginning explaining the controls? Or some kind of button/visual to show that the right screen is for keeping the copter up.
After a second run, I did noticed your "how to play" button on the menu. Maybe you should display that at the beginning game for first time users.
You don't seem to have back buttons for "how to play" and "high scores". I have to exit the app to get out of it.
I hate to be that guy, but I find the full screen ads a little intrusive for this kind of game. The banner ad on the corner is fine though.
Could be a fun game with a bit more polishing. Mainly with the controls, and the UX. Good luck with your game!

Oh okay, yeah I must have not seen them. One last thing is try animating some of the UI elements by "tweening". Like, maybe the game over dialog can slide up to the middle of the screen. Things like that will make the game feel more polished. Keep it up!

I found the time to play it, and I was impressed by how the music complimented the art style. It gave your game a nice little aesthetic.
At first It was difficult, but after a few minutes of playing I got a little better.
I was also initially confused about how to play in the different worlds that are shown on the screenshots.
That was until I discovered that you had to collect a certain amount of stars to open the next world.
This actually gave me more incentive to continue getting better.
My only (minor) complaint is the backgrounds. They look great, but they're a bit static.
I couldn't help but feel that I was playng in front of a stage. But again, this is very minor and easy to look past for me.
Overall great game with great production value!
BTW, I love steampunk, so sorry if my review is a bit biased!
