[Completed] [Q] Forgot router pass, i have to solve the issue with my phone only - XDA Assist

I have changed router wireless password but i forgot it, now i cannot access wifi to configure it, is it possible to find the password that i typed when i configured it somewhere in my phone? I am using default samsung keyboard with default browser bundled in archidroid 1.7.1.8
Thanks in advence.

Hi there,
You can find all password stored in your device only if you have root acces.
Go to root/data/misc/wifi/ wpa_supplicant.conf and find there.
[TUT] How to Retrieve WiFi Passwords from Android (ROOT)
Good luck

umm, i forgot the wireless pass that i put when i configured the router, i configured it via my smartphone browser so i hoped i could view the password that i typed, it's not a browser saved pass so i can't see it in webview.db

In that case your only chance is to contact your internet provider and ask there for password.
Sorry

[Q] how to connect to wifi networks without going to settings?

Hello I've just used an app gaurd to lock my pin lock my settings, root explorer, and titanium backup, so in the event of theft an attacker cant factory reset without knowing the pin or doing a hard reset.
Now my problem is that I want them to be able to connect to the internet so I can use Cerberus to take webcam shots, keylog, track with gps, and access their browsing history. However with settings locked they can't connect to new wifi networks without my pin.
Are there any big and obvious apps I can throw on my homescreen that allow them to do this?
On another note, is there a way I can also lock the cwm recovery console so only I can access it? like a BIOS password or something?

[Q] Credential Storage Password Annoyance

I login to a particular Wifi network that requires a user ID and password. Is there any way to automate the login process so I don't have to always enter these, and more importantly, I have to frequently supply my Credential Storage Password. Again not a problem, I know the password, but I'd like to make my phone remember it even if I reboot, so I can just walk in to the area, turn on wifi, and get connected. If this can be done through an app I'm OK with that.
A question goes into the Q&A section, obviously!
Thread moved.
D'oh! Sorry about that. The question still stands, thanks for the move.
Are you using server log in? I connect to my work network here, and it stores my credentials.

[Q] [REQ] enable/disable password screen lock

Hi,
I donĀ“t even know if this is possible due to security policies, but can anybody knows or can make an app that allows to simply switch between slide and password screen locks?
In other words: Today if I want to set the password I have to type it ...twice. Then when I want to disable the password I need to type it again- Then I can disable the password , but it is not remembered. So if I later want to re-enable the password, well, I have to set a new password and type it twice again.
What I would like is for the password to be remembered internally, and to easily and quickly switch between password and no password.
Not sure if it is even possible to do for rooted phones.
Thanks
Gonzalo

[Q] Moto G File manager & Wifi Issue

I just received my Moto G 16GB. The phone is grate. But I have two main issues that just makes the phone useless.
1) I can't seem to find a File Manager. When I connect the phone to PC via USB cable, I can see a list of folders like audio, video, download, Android, etc.. But in the phone I don't know how to access them. Below are the only apps I have on my Moto G.
Screen 1: see attachment screen1
Screen 2: see attachment screen 2
2) My office wifi has a security setting in which I have to enter both my username and password to connect. When I connect my Moto G to the office wifi network, it asks for the username and I can enter it. But the password field is shown only half. I can't enter the password. See the image. I can't scroll down. Please help with these issues.

Congrats @arkkrish for getting Moto G, i also got new MG
to access files from phone you need file manager like ES File Explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
for password entry issue you minimize the keyboard by touching \/ navigation button
and point the cursor to password entry field. this should work.

I did... but, not working.
I finally enabled 3G data and downloaded the wifi manager app. I can now connect through this app. (I can enter both username and password in this app. But not through Settings.
I resolved it with Add New Network.

I too had the same problem. On top of this, the phone was getting wrong security type for the wi-fi network. I just resolved it by using "add new network" + sign option on the network list screen. I gave the same network name and selected correct security type and other details. It connected just fine. Luckily I have done this kind of act on my home wi-fi for some computer devices, so it came handy.
Hope this helps

I solved this way:
- Provide some data, click on connect
- While it tries to connect, long tap on the network name, then select Modify
There you will have all the input fields you need. Needs a bit of patience though, because the faulty screen will pop up several times, if you click Connect on it you can continue to add your info.

Tried it. Didn't work. I long tapped on the network name and selected Modify Network. But there is no password field. There was an 'Show Advanced Option' checkbox though. When I selected it, two more settings were made visible - Proxy and IP settings. No Password field.

[Q] Help Connecting to EAP-TLS based network

Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble being able to connect to the wifi network at the University of Virginia. I have done this for years on various android devices/versions dating back to Gingerbread, but I seem to have hit a wall with my Nexus 5 due to a missing password input field during the AP setup process.
I have downloaded and installed both the CA and my personal PKI certificate as per usual (and, yes, I installed them for WIFI use). I setup the access point just as I have done in the past. The big glaring difference is that there is no field to input my password. This is the password I associated with my computer account here on campus, not the password used to secure my personal certificate which was entered during the install process. With no way to input my password, I have no idea how I am supposed to authenticate on the entwork. Sure enough, attempting to connect results in "Authentication Error" being displayed below the SSID in the AP list after ~20 seconds of "connecting..." status.
I have no idea why there isn't a password field listed there anymore, I know there was on Android 4.3 on my Nexus 4.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!
