I login to a particular Wifi network that requires a user ID and password. Is there any way to automate the login process so I don't have to always enter these, and more importantly, I have to frequently supply my Credential Storage Password. Again not a problem, I know the password, but I'd like to make my phone remember it even if I reboot, so I can just walk in to the area, turn on wifi, and get connected. If this can be done through an app I'm OK with that.
A question goes into the Q&A section, obviously!
Thread moved.
D'oh! Sorry about that. The question still stands, thanks for the move.
Are you using server log in? I connect to my work network here, and it stores my credentials.

Hi there,
If you have a few questions regarding the safe.my.windows.phone software. Anybody who have used it before please help me out!
1. If I have already set my password, how do I change it?
2. If I want to set a password only for unlocking when I remotely lock it and not for prompting when device is not used, how do I do this? As far as I know, I can only set a password if I tick the check box 'Prompt if device unused for'.
3. Finally, I've finished my trial evaluation of the software and want to uninstall it. However, after uninstallation, my phone is still asking me for the password to unlock my phone whenever the screen is turned on (unfortunately I set to prompt for password every 0 minutes and I can't find the password page to change this). How do I completely remove this?!
I tried re-installing but the page that asks you for the password after the first installation doesn't come up anymore I also then tried uninstalling after re-installating but the asking of the password still comes up everytime I turn on my screen!
Many thanks!
After two weeks of waiting for an email from [email protected] to come back to me, I can only warn everybody here to not install this application! Obviously the program is flawed (doesn't have a place to remove it) and you don't get any support. Don't install, don't buy! ><
Just as I thought a hard reset was around the corner...JGUI replied! Going back to the password settings page is actually very simple. Just go to Settings --> (Personal tab) Lock. From there you can set when to prompt and what password to use.
Still, there is a limitation where if you want the program to lock your phone when the correct SMS comes in, you need to activate this password protection but you can set this to 24hrs rather than 0min like I did.
hey i have a question, i just came over from cm7, and at my schools wifi, when i was on cm7, it would connect automatically, i just switched to insertcoin, and now it keeps asking me for the credential password. is there anyway i can get it connect automatically like cm7 did?
Did you check the remember password box?
I had made the same mistake because it's behind the keyboard.
where, it tries to connect but it says i have to enter my credential password, i dont want to do this everytime, i want to connect automatically
Hello everyone,
I have Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Omega Rom android 4.4.2
I installed an anti theft app called 'Android Lost'.
I installed it on my phone and went on to their site to try out some of the commands after it had registered with my google account and whatever else it does. I sent a command to my phone to lock it with a pin. My phone received the command but it didn't do what it was supposed to do. It removed the pattern lock that was on my phone and left it open to unlock without any sort of password or pin. I tried the command again and it did not work.
I gave up as I was in a rush to leave and left the house. I then tried to set a pin on my phone again and the option wasn't grayed out or anything but when I selected it and set the pin, my phone would freeze and then after a minute it would unfreeze but "swipe" would be selected. I was able to set a pattern but nothing higher security than that. Also, even when pattern was selected and I tried to set a pin, it would set it back to "swipe". I also noticed that now I am always getting a message that says "my sd card can now be removed safely" even when I didn't select for it to be removed.
I uninstalled the app and it unregistered me from the servers and all of that, but everything is still the same. Still getting the sd card message, and still can't set a pin.
I have tried the method of incorrectly entering my pattern and using google to change to a pin, that didn't work, just set it to swipe and the sd card message was still appearing.
I also tried clearing all credentials like someone mentioned, but the option is grayed out so I can't select it, and my sd card isn't encrypted and either is my internal storage.
I even went as far as manually going to each credential and disabling it, this did not fix anything either.
Today after not having any replies on the Android Lost website, I decided to factory restore my phone after backing everything up.
This, to my surprise, still did not fix the problem. Now I have a wiped phone and still can't set a pin, and am still being told my SD card can be safely removed.
I tried factory restoring several times, still no fix.
I am so lost at what to do, maybe there is a cache I can clear or something on top of restoring the phone to clear the credentials as they all seem to be the same still after restore, or maybe it has something to do with my google account, or a server still sending commands to my phone or has set a lock on it. I'm not sure.
Thanks for reading, sorry if it was a bit long, I rarely post to forums as I can usually solve problems by myself by searching.
All help appreciated!
The purpose of XDA-Assist is to direct people to the proper place to ask a question, for you this should be here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help
But a quick side note, reflashing your ROM should fix your issue as if this app changed something in /system then a factory reset won't change it back. If ref lashing won't help then I would suggest to ask in your device q&a forum linked above
Best of luck!

Thanks a lot demkantor,
I just reflashed the rom then, doesn't look like the problem is fixed.
I will go ahead and post in that section now, thanks again!
Dear All,
my phone is periodically requesting password insead to accept the fingerprint (every 2 days?). Because i have a very long passphrase, encrypted device with boot-password this "feature" has 0 benefit for me. As touchsceen typing-hater (this is pure digital paralympics) i really get frustrated when i have to type in this passphrase. Is there any way to get rid of this "feature"? I don't want to switch back to a simple PIN.
If your talking about passphrase on boot, you can disable it by re-setting up you password, and the first thing it asks you is if you want secure boot
Sorry, i though i was writing in english but it seems that it was mandarin. Absolutely not, i mean the unlock password.
? no, it periodically locks the device down for more security. When this happens does it read "password needed for security" or something like that?
Yes, and this is just senseless. I've replaced the A9 by a S7, so doesn't interest anymore.
This is just a question. Is there any way that i can set up a decoy password on my nexus 5 lockscreen? I am rooted and running LineageOS 14.1 and the phone passes SafetyNet, and has internal storage encrypted. Here's an example: your real pin is 13579, but you want a decoy pin (24680). When 13579 (real pin) is entered, the phone will unlock like normal. But, if 24680 (decoy) is entered, then the phone should switch to a different (possibly restricted) user, so that if you are stopped at an airport and your phone is confiscated and the authorities ask for your pin, you can give them the decoy. The switching users should be invisible, so that the authorities don't suspect anything. If they ask about the main user, i can just make up an excuse like "This is my friend's phone, and i am going to visit him. He just added me as a restricted user". Note: i just want to keep my privacy and make sure that my data is safe.
