Hey, got a big problem and i have no idea what to do.
i have a tablet with a mt6582 Cpu and i tried to resize my app storage by using meteos app. As it was written in the tutorial i made a nandroid backup and afterwards used the app to repartition my storage. However when trying to restore my nandroid backup i get the message "Error while restoring /System!". Also i cannot do factory reset because it aborts with "No app2sd partition found".
Well now i cannot restore anything neither can i flash a new rom, as there doesn´t exist one if i am right and nor i am able to boot.
Hope somebody can tell me how i can deal with this mess, cause this is my first time handling a china device.
you need to format pmt and sew through SPFT factory firmware

there is an optimal way. You can edit the scatter file. there are instructions. but it is only in Russian.

Well to be honest I've no idea what you are talking about. I don't know much about scatter files either but I think I can't edit them anymore, cause mtk tools just detects it but can't do anything with the tablet, and besides it seems like my backup from SD card also got deleted. But I noticed I can wipe data when I have the SD card in tablet which was inside when using meteos app for repartition. So I think I just need to find a firmware to flash via cwm so afterwards I can get through the partition problem? It's hard though cause I emailed the developer from my tablet and he said right now there isn't my firmware available. But for other tablets there are some.... Think this won't help though right?

So I flashed EB's ICS ROM recently and I noticed that I can't connect to or view my internal storage on my computer or phone. I know this is usually listed as "USB storage" on ICS ROMs but I don't have anything. If I connect it to the computer it says connected as a camera and I can only see my external microsd but not my internal =/ can someone help?
This is possibly caused by a common problem with a couple if the earlier ICS Roms. The instructuins on mounting the internal sdcard are a little messed up. It can possibly be fixed by following these steps. I did not find this myself. I am summarizing and writing a step by step of somebody else's solution.
Here is a step by step I learned from the previous post in the eaglesblood rom ICS thread..
1. Use root explorer or file explorer.. open system folder
2. Scroll down to "etc " folder and open...
3. Scroll down to "vold.fstab" file..
4. Long press on the file and select "open with" then select "text editor"
5. When that opens look at the bottom of the file.. you will see a 9. (It is the only 9 on the page...) change that 9 to an 8
6. Tap menu select save... back out and reboot the phone... the file should now tell your phone how to accurately and consistantly view the sdcard.
Let us know how it went.... (this set of Instructions is for ICS Roms... GB roms didn't have this problem as far as I know.
Credit for finding this fix goes to Mister Hat on page 7 of EaglesBlood ICS Rom thread ..

Well first off, mount as mtp.
I am using root explorer and it does say R/W at the top, but the file has a yellow lock symbol on it and it still won't let me edit, even after I long press and select edit text...thank you for your response!

Have you tired installing the new EB Build 3?
i believe you can access your sd like a regular flash drive
Can"t access internal storage on EB ICS
I haven't had the chance yet, was checking eagerly all weekend! Will see if the update solves it...backing up my current release 2 now....and updating Titanium backup in preparation....love new releases!

Yes, but not your internal memory. Because of some low level access issues the dev won't support it. You will just have to use a file manager on your phone to access it. It should be understood mount/emmc and will be empty since obviously you haven't been using it

Hello people,
I am proud to present CWM recovery v5.8.0.2 for the FLEX!
THIS IS NOT UPDATED FOR JELLYBEAN!!..yet
UPDATED support for either internal or external sd
THE ACTUAL CONTENTS OF THE INTERNAL SDCARD ARE LOCATED IN THE /data/media FOLDER ON THE PHONE SO YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE /media FOLDER TO GET YOUR INTERNAL SDCARD's ZIP FILES AND STUFF WHEN CHOOSING INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD. ALSO THE BACKUPS YOU MAKE WILL BE STORED IN THE /data/clockworkmod/blahblah FOLDER ON THE PHONE SO I RECOMMEND YOU BUY AN EXTERNAL SD CARD BUT ITS JUST WHATEVVS.
Alright you will need a few things before you can install.
1. Rooted Pantech Flex P8010 (oscar)
2. Computer
3. Basic knowlege of adb/fastboot
4. ADB/Fastboot
READ ME (Disclaimer)
WARNING: THIS VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY
I am not responsible for you bricking your phone or anything that you do to your phone e.g. flash wrong zips , drop it in coke ect.
INSTRUCTIONS
Get a file manager such as Root Explorer and delete the FILE in the /system folder called "recovery_from_boot.p". Get the signed zip file for your desired sdcard mount point (either internal or external sd), and put it in your /external_sd or /sdcard folder. Download and put the .img file (also corresponding to the desired mount point for your sdcard) in adb folder and rename it boot.img. Then put the phone into fastboot mode (google it).
Type:
fastboot boot boot.img
And CWM recovery will pop up after a few seconds. Then choose install zip from sdcard and browse to the CWM_flex-P8010.zip and install it. Then reboot into recovery again and YAY! nandroid time :good:
BIG HUGE thanks to atadres for helping me along the way and also making the flashable zip :highfive:
Score dude! Team flex has such a bright future with these devs. Glad I could help
Bravo Timmy!
Timmy after playing around with,it ive, noticed its not able to browse internal sd,card only external, but thats a,minor issue no biggie, really
Yea I will try to add support for internal sd.

If you get the update forcefully, just reroot the phone using the previous method then install the recovery. That is what I just did and it worked for me. Syncing git repos as we speak
@timmythanoob please share how you did it....for knowledge's sake
I used a pantech burst cwm recovery and made it compatible with the flex (recovery.fstab, init.rc,) and I also used a /sbin/recovery file from an atrix 4g to get the resolution right for our screen (qHD).

Wow something weird just happened. I just tried rebooting into cwm using terminal reboot recovery and it rebooted into the stock recovery
Can anyone verify this?
Sent from my PantechP8010 using xda app-developers app
Okay first ima start off by saying the obvious I'm nor responsible for your phone or the actions you take with it nor will I ever be you want it rooted? You want cwm working? YOU want the roms? Then it YOU are the one who is responsible
On that note you can odin if something goes wrong an is a good thing to have such files on your computer just in case
Time for the tut c:
Root
Download cwm via sidekick android development sticky(can do this with phone)
File explorer (root browser)
Now make a copy an put in different folder
Extract the copy to same location
(Should be a recovery file) now move that file to /system/bin (to get to this folder you must have root an you must go as far back as you can as sd card is a sub folder in the phone)
After that you want to
Go to original cwm file
Rename to" update.zip "
Move to the sd cards main folder " / "
Now reboot phone
Reboot into recovery
Reinstall packages
Wellcome to orange cwm
From here to custom roms
Download rom you desire to use
Put in findable location on sd card
Go into recovery
Reinstall packages
Wipe everything an wipe everything in advance menu
No go to mounts
(Mounts) only need to unmount system!! For mostly every rom if you don't your phone will mess up
System unmounted
Now after mounts are in looking like that
Back out an go to install zip
install zip from sd card
Find the rom you chosen to install
Click it
Wait for it to finish then press back button
(I check mounts again because of habit)
Reboot phone
DON'T TOUCH IT... LISTEN TO THE VOICE
Don't touch for about 5-10 mins if they system mounted via voice
Will include my files in a bit

I've done a factory reser and i think it already does a zero fill for the entire data partition. In fact it takes a lot of time and i found someone on internet supporting this behaviour after a checkup in the sources for any evidence.
A factory reset done from the android menus (if you have stock recovery) will wipe everything you put on the device (except system apps).

I want only to know if my data is securely deleted. A zero fill makes impossible the recovery without special equipment. So if the android factory reset does also a zero fill I can sell my phone or rma it without privacy issues

A factory reset doesn't go through and obscure the data like that. It removes the table of contents so the files aren't visible to the file system, but the data is still there (as you know). I actually just went through this with my previous phone before I sold it. I formatted all partitions with twrp and also formatted internal storage in Windows but a couple of free recovery programs were still able to find some deleted files.
I just ended up copying my entire music library over to fill up the partition so all blocks were overwritten. After that, the programs weren't able to recover anything. Not very high tech, but effective. You could even make a couple of passes if you want to be extra sure.

I would factory reset the device. Pull the sim and go through the normal setup without setting up any networking or accounts. Once the device is running, encrypt the device. Last, factory reset the device and then send it for rma.
