[Completed] [q] lg g2 d801 t mobile imei number wiped (reads imei: 0) after flashing firmware - XDA Assist

I found several related threads. But none seemed to have the answer I needed. I do not have an EFS backup. The last thread I tried used QPST. Did everything to about step #39 of maybe 42. "Copy line 550 and select Write to Phone", I think this was in NV_Manager (sorry, not at home). Copy line 550 containing IMEI info. Line 550 did not exist on my phone. The line numbers went up to about 46?? My question is... If the entire entry is gone from my G2 (no line 550 at all), how can I reenter it? I do have the original IMEI number. Or please steer me to the correct thread???
I have been 3 weeks without my phone. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
You can ask in one of the several threads you said you've read, for help on this.
This one perhaps? After reading post number one. ? it's for Tmobile version, so if it talks about flashing files, make sure they are for your exact device model.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701861
Good luck!

Here's the link that saved my phone. I repeated every step, from beginning to end 3 times. Every time I disconnected the phone the IMEI number was a single zero. When I followed all steps the 4th time I rebooted the phone... It worked! Thanks to Cubed for the tutorial. And thanks, Darth.

Phone not allowed MM#6 @ Galaxy S

Hello guys!
Recently i unlock my Galaxy S using the Galaxy_S Unlock app from the market (i've read a thread about it here).
And i've been using my phone with Personal Argentina (a carrier from Argentina) for a few days now, but today i start getting the Phone not allowed MM#6 error.
I bought the phone in Canada, and it was locked for Rogers.
I have a few questions :
is this IMEI related?, i think that the unlock method does something to the IMEI, and i tried to restore the backup that i've created with the app, but it says that there's nothing to restore..
There is any known solutions?, i've been searching the forums but no one seems to know how to fix this issue.
I've also bought the DaGentooBoy App for unlocking the Phone (it was about 5 dollars), but it doesn't fix my problem.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT :
I just read this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=863209
where should i post this question?
Omg this forum moves so fast, i'm at 3rd page already.
I'll up this thread one more time to see if anyone can help me.
I've done some attemps using this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881162
Before doing that i flash back to 2.1 stock using Odin, and after those steps i got this generic IMEI :
004999010640000
That;s not my Phone's IMEI, and it's blocked by the Carriers in Argentina, so i can't use my phone.
Any ideas?, maybe some keyword that i can search on Google?
Thanks!
I'm in Bolivia. I have a samsung galaxy s, I unlocked with SUperOneClick (for rooting) and sgs tool to unlock it. Then after using a local carrier for about two weeks my phone got the mm#6 error. I was looking for solutions, and then my brother realized that I have to register the phone with the line (IMEI with line). Here in Bolivia exists a law that block phones if they are not registered at someones name and Id. So with nothing to lose, I called assitance of the carrier and register the IMEI I found in the Android menu (About phone>status>IMEI) with the GSM chip/line I have. Wait for 20 minutes and voilá! phone got signal and it's working now. I hope still working from now and on. SO IF YOU HAVE THIS TROUBLE CALL YOUR CARRIER AND REGISTER YOUR PHONE'S IMEI WITH THE LINE YOU ARE USING, IT'S SIMPLE. YOU CAN TRY THAT BEFORE GETTING INTO SOFTWARE STUFF.
HOPE THIS HELP SOMEBODY.
GOOD LUCK!

[Q] Cincinnati Bell Blaze IMEI Question

I found and followed the unlock/root 1.6Apanda directions found elsewhere in this forum. When doing that the IMEI got erased. I then followed the tutorial to correct the IMEI. This is where I had a problem though. I followed the instructions and ended up with an IMEI of A354..... however, when I updated the IMEI on my phone it turned into :354..... I have no idea why the A turned into a : Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to correct the NV file?

Unbricking your LG Optimus Regard

So while tinkering with my phone, the LG optimus Regard, I bricked it. Then I found a rom for the LG Motion MS-770 witch works with my phone, however after flashing this rom, my phone is now on MetroPCS. I need to know how to get my phone back on cricket (NO ROMS AVALIBLE FOR THE LG OPTIMUS REGARD, ANYWHERE) so how do I hack my carrier back to cricket.
Also does anyone know how I can change my Model number back to LW-770 as opposed to MS-770
Thanks in advance, please anyone help me as I am without a phone until someone replies.
Issue SolvedFollow these instructions to Unbrick your LG Optimus RegardOr switch your carrier back to cricketFor all those encountering similar issues, or those in need of the stock firmware for the LG Optimus regard (LW-770) use this website: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=xxxx Where xxxx should be your IMEI, it will lead you to a text page with unclickable hyperlinks that you should copy and paste into your browser. I have not tried the global version. DO NOT CHANGE ESN TO IMEI it is not neccisary and will lead you to a blank page. Use, UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe to convert the .cab file to .kdv and use KDZ_FW_UPD.exe to flash it. If you need those files, they come together in a .zip file titled KDZ_FW_UPD_EN a quick google search will return proper results. In order for the above steps to work, you have to put your Regard into Download mode (Full power down, then while powering up, hold Vol Up, Vol Down & Power).
Full credit for finding the rom goes to Vosetal, I spent all day crawling the csmg.lgmobile.com and could not for the life of me figure out how to search my ESN as it is entirely inaccessible, and no FTP access permitted.
Hope this guide helps you unbrick your phone

You already have a thread open - please do not open another one for the same thing. Reported.
Ok Simon, sorry, Its just I wanted a different title as my previous thread was asking for the rom for my phone. Since no one has it, I am contempt with this rom from the other carrier. As thus my request has changed, now I want instructions for changing my carrier to Cricket.
Please Admin, erase my previous threat not this one, as this one is more relevant.

IMEI Number mismatch after re-installation of stock rom

Hi everyone,
I have read up a lot on different people in similar situations to myself, but none of the solutions I have found have been successful. Anyway, here goes:
01) I rooted my GT-N7100 (Samsung Galaxy Note II) using Odin and then installed Cyanogenmod onto it.
02) I decided that I did not like CM, so I downloaded the stock rom for the handset and went through the process of putting the phone back to normal
03) This was successful, however, during the process my IMEI number has changed on the OS level, so that now the IMEI written on the device is different to the one that is displayed in the device status.
I am not trying to change my IMEI number to anything other than the number that it is supposed to be, I just want to be able to make calls and use my mobile data again. If anyone has any ideas about how I can go about editing the current IMEI number, I would be really appreciate it. I'm aware that this is a taboo subject due to the legality of changing the number, but all I want to do is get my phone back to the way it was.
Please feel free to ask me for any further information.
Thanks in advance.

SM-G925F, IMEI Status: NG - not managing to fix even with combination firmware

Dear XDA members,
this is my first post, so please be a bit patient if I do something wrong
I got a very stubborn phone from some relative - he complained that sometimes the voice is fading during voice call. Otherwise the phone was working flawlessly, no other issues/trouble, was working across Europe. It was imported to Europe from Asia, which seems to have some importance, but we'll get there.
When I got it, the first thing I tried was OTA update - however there was some error (it still had 5.11 version back in December 2018). Not thinking too much (and not being aware about CSC codes) I got Odin and flashed it with 7.0 stock firmware. At first moment everything seemed fine, but after some time I inserted my SIM-card and I noticed that phone can't register to mobile network - then I tried another SIM-card from another carrier and result was the same. I tried to flash with few another ROMs with different CSC codes - but the result was exactly the same.
The IMEI and serial numbers reported by phone were in line with info on sticker and engraving on the back cover, but then I found that *#0011# shows IMEI Status: NG.
Wondering if the phone is not black listed I checked it's IMEI at imei.info web site and to my surprise it reported different Samsung serial number than the one on back sticker/cover! I opened back cover and I found that the phone has been manipulated, there's no sticker on the battery with phone info, but is some "Chinese" OK sticker...
I searched the XDA-forum and tried various fixes:
1) deleting nv_data from /efs partition in order to restore factory IMEI, etc., (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75927733&postcount=37),
2) flashing with combination firmware (https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-fix-check-drk-imei-issues-t3379516 tried both A and B methods),
3) downgrading to 5.1.1,
4) HEX editing efs partition backup to change Samsung serial number to the one reported by imei.info - I replaced sn in three places, phone reports "edited" sn, but I have no clue if it's not causing any checksum errors, I still have "original" backup,
5) repeating 1,2,3 with "new serial number",
6) installing NexusOS-9.
None of the above made it possible to connect to mobile network, checking with *#0011# after each of the above (except for NexusOS) still shows IMEI: NG
Is there any other way that could help that issue? What does IMEI: NG actually mean?
I checked with some phone repair shops, and none of them seemed to be equipped with Z3X-toolbox, at one place I heard that they can try to fix it, but give no guarantee of success, since the phone looks to be non-original.
As I wrote at the beginning - non-original or refurbished in Asia, the phone worked without any issues in few European countries, so I assume that IMEI is not black listed anywhere.
Thank you in advance for any guidance!
