GPS working?
Another GPS question, I'm afraid.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm if GPS is working on the latest build?
Loving the rom so far - my first experience of Lollipop on Android and, although it takes some getting used to and this rom is in alpha, it seems very stable and usable as a daily driver in it's current state - so thanks for that!
My only complaint so far is that I can't get a fix on GPS. I don't know that this is necessarily a problem with this rom in particular though as I was unable to get it to work on the latest weekly or stable build of Slimkat either.
I know my GPS works as I rolled back to stock and it worked fine. If I could get GPS working on this rom I'd be absolutely delighted since, as far as I can tell, it's the only really useful thing that I can't get to work for me.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

XT1033
has anyone checked it on XT1033?

XT1034
I'm just wondering if I flash this ROM will it change my radios to XT1032 radios?
Will I need to flash my current AWS radios?
Thanks

Can someone please tell me how to get gps working on this great alpha version?

system/build.prop using any file manager, change the prop ro.sf.lcd.density to 320

I think there was a guide on how to fix your problem, it involved going back to stock and then flashing or something like that. Mind searching a bit for me?

It won't change radios afaik

Think I've worked out what I need to do to get a gps fix.
From what I have read, I have to revert back to stock, get a gps fix use G gps checker type app and then reflash the latest build for this rom.
Can anyone confirm if this sounds wise?
Also, is anyone able to tell me if I can just flash back to a stock rom using twrp or do I have to do it using a PC via adb or something? The reason I ask is because I wont have access to a PC for a while so it would be easier to do it all on the device!
Thanks for all the great work on this so far. If I'm able to fix gps and voip on this build I'll be so impressed and happy!

That sounds wise but i haven't tried it. I think it would need you to go back to the firmware itself so, fastboot. By the way isn't voip fixed??

Just double checked and voip seems to be working perfectly. Delighted! Great job. That'll teach me to test things fully before reporting them as broken.
As for reverting to stock, I thought as much! Frustrating. Guess I'll just have to wait until I have a bit more time and access to a PC to get my GPS working. Then I'll be truly satisfied with this amazing rom.

moto g boost virant
hi, i got a boost mobile mot g running 4.4.4, and i have tried every 5.0.1-5.0.2 lollipop rom, and non have cell or internet on them...is a developer working on that? or developers arnt interested in this moto g

Latest nightly (02/04) and everything running great so far! Only bug I've come across is that my contact list in the Dialer (not Contacts) keeps sorting itself by Last Name. If I manually go into settings and sort by First Name it will only stick until the app is closed then will revert back to Last Name sorting.
Other than that everuthing looks good! Great job!

thanks, works great on my xt1031

Stupid question,
Is it okay if I flash Bank's gapps, whats the difference ?

like this rom
i like this rom only had a few problems but after a reboot seams to be working good again
I have the weirdest thing happening. I'm on stable 7 and have been for quite a while. It's worked perfectly until a couple days ago and now I can't send text messages out. I think I can receive OK. Just can't send out. I've even tried doing a clean install of this and other ROMs with same result. It gets more odd... After toying with it I can send only one text out. Just one to any person. But I can't send another unless I reboot or I think wait a few hours. Upon reboot I again can send only one text message out. And so on. I have no clue what could be happening. Any ideas?

I had that problem when I was using certain builds. I had to drop modem back to BMB1. After that I could send with no issue. I, too could only send one text at a time.

Stock kernel and VRBMF1 firmware is the bassline recommendation. TWRP 2.7 at least, newest TWRP 2.8 works fine as well.

I was able to locate the firmware and had a tough time finding the stock kernel as many links for many things are no longer good... I downloaded what I thought was the "stock kernel v2" however when I try to flash after flashing the firmware in twrp I get a failed message "unable to open zip file".. Any thoughts, thank you in adv. Have twrp 2.8.0.1 btw and flashed MF1 firmware....

Just an FYI, I tried the latest nightly and got zero GPS fix, even with a clean flash. I went back to the latest stable build (also a clean flash) and everything's cool with that, except for my inability to view pics within Gmail. :/
Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
Hi, I just loaded up Slimkat 4.4.4 with the stock kernel on my Verizon Galaxy S3. I used to use the Wifi Tether TrevE Mod with my previous version and that worked, however, this does not appear to work in this rom. I noticed there was a built in Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, which does work perfectly. I would like to use this but am just concerned that somehow VZ would know I am tethering and I would incur additional charges. Do I have anything to worry about or am I just being paranoid?
Thank you for a GREAT product, it's a spectacular rom.

Haptic level
Hi, I just upgraded to the 4.4 SCH i535 miui rom and can't find the option to decrease vibration strength for haptic. It used to be in the settings under advanced, but it's not there anymore, only the option to turn it on or off via sound menu. Is there another way to do this, or a WSM module? I've looked everywhere and can't find anything on this particular rom. Thanks!

Not sure if this works in MIUI as I haven't ran this in a couple weeks. It was a nice rom though, I always did like MIUI especially the specialty MIUI built in apps..
Anyway, Device Control I'm 90 percent certain lets you adjust haptic feedback. I usually set mine to around 10 percent. The test button never works for me but when you hit okay, you can feel the difference.. There's a ton of other cool settings in there too. And it's free.
Also, if you use the KToonz Kernel, the KTweaker app also has the option somewhere in there to adjust the haptic feedback.
Hope this helps I know I may be late to the table, but maybe someone can make use of this information.

Corrupt KT747 Kernel
Greetings all. I was directed to this thread by the developer. So heres my issue:
I'm on SGS3 vzw. I installed MIUI 4.8.22 using TWRP (newest version). I cleared delvik, cache, factory reset thrice, flashed MIUI, then flashed gapps, then I flashed the cdma fix (I assumed that I needed it). I am unable to start a Xiomi cloud account and when I tried to flash the KT aosp 4.4.4 kernel, I got a "file corrupted" message. Is there an updated KT747 somewhere, or am I trying to install the wrong kernel or what? I would appreciate any help on the matter....BTW.....I really like the look of MIUI. I may keep it!
What Baseband to use?

Thank You

I was wondering, you know that page with 6 sections that shows news and side sync. How do I open the news stories? I figured out that you can flip up and down to scroll through different stories but can't figure out how to open the story.

When I try to install this ROM, I get the following error, am using PhilZ Touch 6 recovery CWM 6.0.4.7.
The error is;
format () expects 5 args, got 4
E:Error in /data/media/0/download_rom/TAB.S.Sensation.V6.n801x.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
I did a Wipe Data/Factory Reset. My internal storage has about 1/6 G free, and the SDCARD has about 2 G free.
What could be wrong, I have downloaded the ROM twice now.
Any suggestion appreciated.
Thanks
what is your device?
try you first apply Gnabo rom? :good:
@AhmedSafian thank you for your hard work. This ROM is definitely the one that made my tab look new. Just wanted to report few things.
(N8013)
1) xposed is not pre-installed? If ever I'll do it manually, which version would you recommend.
2) I installed a HULU app since I do have an account with them, (it's like Netflix) it doesn't run. Any suggestions on what to do with it?
3) Is Sound Alive better than (Dolby Digital)?

LG G3 Keyboard for CM/AOSP ROMs

Hi everyone,
I've been using non-stock ROMs for quite a while and I was always flashing LG keyboards, cause I find them really handy to use.
I had asked in the Official CM13's thread, if anyone had known a compatible LG keyboard, but no one had answered.
After some search, I found this thread, and after flashing the keyboard I found out that it works flawlessly with CM13 (latest nightly) for my G2, too. Of course I take no responsibility for any kind of problem that might occur during/after flashing the .zip, as I said it works just fine with my G2.
All credits should be given to @siankatabg who made the .zip, all I did was just search G3's forum and test if it works.
Hope this helped anyone looking to flash a LG keyboard to his/her CM13 based ROM. If the thread is against the rules, I'd like to apologize in advance, and mods, feel free to delete it.
It works on g2 too, that's nice, but should work on other cm/aosp roms.
Can you please change the title when someone report that the Keyboard works on other roms than cm13, so I don't need to make a new thread here

Well said however get twrp to work for me was a hell of a job and fear if would end up bricking my device. Just trying to be careful on this.
Better to learn from mistakes of others than to make one yourself.
I am not a developer and not sure of how to set my device back to normal may god forbid if I end up messing it up.
Hope this clarifies my question above

well... If you already have TWRP installed, do a nandroid backup and if anything goes wrong just recover form it, there is no way that just flashing this will brick your phone beyond recovery point, and even if in some way recovery got corrupted there's always a way, you can just run download mode and flash KDZ with stock rom using flash tool 2014. Anyway I went ahead and tried it myself on Lineage 14.1 ( Android 7.1.1.) and it doesn't work, I mean i did flash it and it seems that everything went well but after reboot it just wasn't there. You better off with Google Keyboard (you can get it at google play store)
BTW. The easiest way to get TWRP on LG G2 is just flash stock lollipop root it, and than flash "Autorec for lollipop", when it's done just go to recovery and flash newest TWRP available and you're golden.
Flashed the file in language and inputs in settings lg keyboard shows up but I enable it reboot still have aosp keyboard tried disabling aosp keyboard and lg gets automativmcally blacked out with it any help appreciated!!!

How is it going? I actually like the G5 port. Please confirm everything is going well cos I would love to use it. Please tell me how you see the ROM.
My only fear is that I noticed that if one is to revert to stock there are other files to be flashed. Being the language is in Vietnamese if a mistake is made, then hardbrick will ensue.
Thanks

You can use Google Chrome to open the page and use translate the page to English, the rom installation is English. I have installed and run good and smoothly. You need to back up rom and then full wipe, and install rom. There is instruction on V3.0 section. I just use as normal use so I am not sure how is perfect or not. Any other user has idea?

I've downloaded the ROM, will flash later when I get back from work. Will let you know how it goes....
This rom is super cool. Im running a different one that's in the same section, it seems to have the UI more accurate like the V20. The devs there seem to be hella active. Ive seen updates every few days for both roms. Runs smooth and battery life is much better than stock in my opinion, cant tell if its a placebo though so Id recommend you test yourself.

Q: Can you roll back to 20J after trying 20L, or will it brick?

There does seem to be a lot going on there! But there's only one 20l ROM thus far, right?

I dirty flashed the 20l ROM over stock rooted 20l, it booted up fine and seems fine so far.

I saw a post in the Dev section that stated both 20J & 20L are both set to Anti-Rollback version 2. As long as you stay within the same anti-rollback version then you should be able to move back and forth between 20J & 20L. I believe 20E is Anti-Rollback version 1.
I am about to move back to 20J and will let you know how it goes.
EDIT: I was able to go back to 20J with no problem
Do we need to modify any of the APN's or build.prop for use on Verizon in US? My phone says 4G but keeps dropping to 3G and then sometimes it says H...

Yeah, they are active but it is expected since they have a lot of sales in the Asian market. Can you please get me the link to the V20-like ROM?

Can someone say whether this ROM has init.d support? You can tell because there will be a folder called init.d at /system/etc/init.d. It may or may not be empty. If there is something in there then it's a pretty good indication. I usually drop a file in there that will run on boot and produce a log file in /data. If that log file doesn't appear, then no init.d support is present.

Can't find it using root browser, though it maybe me. Let's wait for another person to confirm.
I'll go ahead and assume the answer is no unless someone confirms otherwise. If I knew how to mod kernels, ramdisks, etc then I would add it myself. There is a universal init.d app that can add artificial support for this in the meantime, so not a huge deal. But kernel/ROM support for it is superior.

I believe this is the ROM you are looking for: RadeonMaya
I've had it installed for about 2 hours now and all is well.
V. 4.0 Back up first. My idea for easier update, wipe Dalvik / System / Cache and then install the 4.0
For Clean install, wipe Dalvik / System / Data / Cache then install

How did you extract this? The apps I used on the phone say a password is required. And it's a TWRP backup to be restored?
Edit: got it from the thread there! Duh

Glad you got it worked out, it took me a minute to figure out the password also lol. So far I've noticed my data speeds are slow and I only see 4G and not 4G LTE at the top so far....

Ah ok lol haha, cool. All my andoid apps on the phone are failing to extract it, even with the password.
But as for the LTE, I think you may need to edit the build.prop if it isn't set up to be a Tmobile device. Or someone posted a tmo build.prop file in the thread about getting the 20l OTA, I believe

If you replace the build.prop in this rom with a stock one it will get stuck at LG and won't boot any further...at least in my experience. I'm sure it's something easy but who knows
