I'm trying to determine if I need to take my phone in because of hardware or not. At least once a day I get a "no sim card, please insert sim card" notification. After a reboot it disappears. I'm on Metalrom, but it has happened on other rooms including stock. It's related to the systemui. Does anyone else experience this or have a solution?

Have you tried restarting your cards yet? That's all I've got.
Restarting the card? Not sure what you mean?
Pop the back and reseat both of your cards. I had mine come loose a little once.

Yeah, I've done it before. Maybe it just wiggles loose over time. It's not a big deal really. Just annoying.
Could be the card too. I wonder if you went to a real Sprint store if they would swap it out free of charge?
Possibly, I really don't want to Odin back to stock quite yet. I wedged a little piece of paper between the card and the battery to see if it helps.

I doubt they really care if you're stock unless you were planning on doing it just to test things out.
When I bought my S5 used, I rooted and flashed it before I even brought it in to activate it. Told the guy to ignore the 'extras', he didn't seem to care anyway. LOL
While I was getting him to do everything, I even had him write down my new MSL too so I could have it for later.
I might try, a few stores near me don't seem to care about root
So far with something wedged between the card and battery I have not gotten the warning, I'll check back if it happens again.
So far so good, must be a loose card.
So a month later, no notification still. Not sure if this helps anyone else, cheesy fix but it works.

What is this annoying sound??
Whenever I talk with someone there is background noise that is similar to the GSM buzz heard when you have your cell phone too close to a TV or something.
Its very annoying. This also happens when I use EDGE (and possibly 3G). Is it just me, or is there a fix?
(By the way, I searched and all I found were people having a clicking sound before the speaker turns on)

Hey guys just to let ya know, i had that same issue and went back to the store and told them about it (Mine only did it on edge). Add that it disables your sound, therefore not being able to receive calls (It did to me at least) or emails. Hope that helps. If you need more info, plz post back and I'll be gladly help out. (Restore your phone to manufacturer's state of course)

Yah, thats wat i did. Im not sure about Wirefly then, but shouldnt Att have warranty service on it? Try calling customer care then, if anything to hurry up the process tell them its your work phone.

i just wanted to make sure that there was no software fix or radio i could flash to get it to stop before i sent it in. i have audio dropouts from time to time as well. thanks for your help.
Had the phone for about 2 months, both the back and the front cameras show these green and pink lines through the screen when shooting vids and pics, even embeds them into the pictures themselves.. And since its BOTH camera lenses, I cant help but think its a software issue... Not sure though, any help ?

People have had some success with removing the battery from the phone, letting it sit for a few minutes then reinserting battery and turn phone back on.
It's an issue HTC is aware of with this phone and the Sensation.

I had that once, I had to reboot the phone and all was good..
try clearing all data on your camera through the applications folder as well, see if it helps.
thanks jsyi84, thats exactly what it was looking like.. I actually started to treat it like a pc and stopped all the services that were running... After reaching the HTC Sense service and stopping it, it restarted and the camera returned to normal. Thanks soo much I thought I was going to have to go through the hassle of replacing it...
This happenned to me twice. A simple reboot fixed the issue. I should also add that this happenned on the stock rom before I did S-off and on Undead's 3.5 senseless rom. So it could be a hardware issue too...
I'm on the latest stable CM7 with Trinity's kernel. I decided I'd see if a Virgin Mobile Sim would work so I put it in and, it didn't. No biggie. I put my old (Wind) Sim card back in and it now can't find any networks.
It says, "Error while searching for networks." When I take the sim out and turn the phone back on, it doesn't recognize that there is no sim and the same error message pops up. The Baseband version is now, Unknown Anyone know what's wrong and any solutions?

Turn off phone. Remove the battery. Press the power key to make sure the phone is drained completely. Replace battery with correct sim. Turn back on and hope for the best. Once in a while this phone gets confused and this happens. It should be okay though.

No luck, I'm going to try draining the battery and see if that helps.
I guess them version mobile sims are dangerous. This is a very strange issue.
Quick update to anyone who finds this thread through search and wants to know what happened. I ended up flashing the newest nightly which fixed the baseband issue, then I flashed the old stable release back on and that's where I am now
PS I switched back to the stable release because of that pesky low mic issue everyone is having.

for some reason, my senny won't acept any micro sd anymore... it won't even click in, when i push it in, it comes right out
does anyone know how to fix this? ithought when i broke my screen it was useless now it cant even accept a sd card

Hi,
Is anything possibly stuck at the bottom of the card slot,which is preventing it from clicking down fully?
Does the card physically seem to go in all the way? If not, Malybru probabyl has the answer.
If it does go in all the way and doesn't click, then you might be screwed as the little plastic peice that catches the tab on the card may be broken. If so, I don't know how you've begin to try and fix that yourself. HTC wuld probably just replace the whole board since that SD card housing unit is connected directly to it.
If you can get it in all the way, can you hold it in place and have the phone read it? Or does that not even work?

i am almost so sure there is nothing.... maybe rice because i dropped it in a puddle
Try to put the sd card in place and hold it there and try or put some tape on it so it gets on the place. In other hand I think you can buy that piece on eBay and try to replace it yourself. Think the piece includes the SIM card slot too.
Looks like I have the same problem in the same type of phone, and I can't get it out even despite digging around in there with a needle. Has anyone sorted this kind of thing out, or even disassembled the whole SD card slot to clear it up?
I suppose that even after taking the metallic "cover bit" of I would be able to use the SD card, if I use tape or something else to push it towards the metallic "reading bits" on the bottom?

You can buy a mainboard on ebay and simply replace the whole thing. It's not too hard if you are a bit patient and careful.
There are good instructions on youtube and other websites that show you all the steps in detail. Use google.
As an alternative you can buy a working Sensation with broken glass for very little money and get a cheap motherboard that way. That was how I did it.
Of course you'll have to unlock and root the phone again afterwards.
When I turn the phone off and back on it wants my password instead of a fingerprint... is this happening with you guys? The fingerprint only works AFTER the password has been put in if rebooted..
Also I am getting a weird error message saying "all apps associated with this action have been turn off, blocked, or are not installed." I do use package disabler pro, but everything I disabled was the same stuff I disabled on my s6... anyone have an idea of what could be causing this?
Last thing is the message that pops up saying my SD card is inserted, anyway to get rid of that so it doesn't pop up every reboot?

Firstly the password is normal. There's a quip on there about it being safer that way. I also found if you install greenify and allow it administrator access you can't do fingerprints anymore either. They just upped the security. That's all.
Secondly you probably disabled something , as it sounds like you already know. Lastly that's normal. Guessing it's like the s5 popups that seemed to never go away

Meh... kinda sucks...
Any clue what I might have disabled to cause that? Or am I going to have to go through it one by one.. :'(
Nevermind I got it. It ended up being game launcher which I checked by accident. Hopefully root happens soon to disable that SD card thing cause that's annoying.

One more thing, though. Anyone have any idea of how to add the temperature (weather) to the lock screen? My S6 had the time and a little icon showing what the weather was...
