Both the Note 3 and the G2 should be lag free considering the powerful S800 SOC in them (The HTC One with the S600 is smooth already), the LG G2 has an IPS LCD while the blacks are good they are not "true black", and stuck/dead pixels can happen in any device with an LCD and to some extent could happen to an AMOLED too.

S4 or note 3 there is so much price difference BTWeen that phones..
S4 is for 34k and note 3 is for 45k in Indian rupees.. Which so much difference.. Would u suggest me s4 ? Or note 3 ? If note 3 have not much feature for its so much high price..

I find the Note 3 the much better phone than the S4, much bigger screen (5,7" vs 5"), faster processor and GPU (S800 2.3 GHz with Adreno 330 vs S600 1.9 GHz with Adreno 320), more RAM (3GB vs 2GB), a better camera (4K recording (2160p) vs Full HD recording (1080p)) and a bigger battery (3200 mAh vs 2600 mAh) and it has a WACOM digitizer and the S-Pen which the S4 doesn't support. As for the price the Note 3 was just released while the S4 is on the market for a while thats why the big difference in prices.
G2 D802 VS NOTE 3 N9005
I hope and I believe this post might be useful for someone who is deciding between G2 (D802 UK Model) and Note 3 (N9005 UK model).I have been following this thread for a long time and read all opinions in these forums, but never wrote any opinions. Short Version for the answer is, I have picked Note 3 over G2 after using both for 2 weeks. I have also used S4, S3, Note 1,Note 2, Htc One and S2 quite a lot so am aware of the pitfalls of Samsung devices.
Long Version and my reasons are below and these are only my opinions.
LG G2 Pros (G2 over Note 3)
1) Screen whites are clear white and LCD screen is very good. Especially reading books and web you will see clear whites.
2) Knock on feature to lock and unlock is the most used feature and once you start using it , you will start thinking how good it is and may
be all android devices copy this feature. I actually started knocking other devices now and trying to mimic this feature on note 3 with some 3rd party apps and as you all know they are not the same and don't work that well.
3) Bluetooth sound on my planatronics voyager hd is better for some reason on G2. More clear and high volume.
4) Wifi and mobile signal is really good , more than note 3. I guess its atleast one bar more on G2. Call quality is also very good.
5) Single hand usage is really good and its almost a perfect device. (Almost perfect !!! -- reason in cons.)
6) Lots of customisation options like multi wallpaper, zooming in for sms windows and themes in G2 stock rom. I actually
give more marks to G2 stock launcher. G2 Keyboard is also good.
7) Battery life is really good. I use mobile devices to watch atleast 2 hours of video in a day and not a single day its completely finished.
8) Camera pics are really good in day light and good in night time when there is sufficient light.
9) Back buttons are also nice , some might prefer and some might not.
G2 Cons:
1) G2 looks beautiful from front, but back is ugly , plasticky , cheap and damn slippery. Reason almost perfect is because if they made the
back more textured or grippable , they would have sold may be more devices. I actually find handling note 3 easier sometimes as note 3
device textured back is really useful. People call samsung plastic, but note 3 build quality is really really good. LG back sometimes make a
creaking sound and if you drop I can guarantee that G2 will break rather than note 3 due to edge screen on G2. Actually I feel that I will
drop G2 more quickly than Note 3.
2) Inside the house the low light pics are horrible and full of noise. This surprised me and I am disappointed with camera on low light
pictures. One more thing I have noticed the G2 camera pictures sometimes have blue hue to the picture.
3) Video recording ,,,,, oh my dog ! Am not sure what to say about it, its bad, it keeps auto focusing every 2 seconds to a point where it
gets really annoying. Am note sure how this has gone through QA testing from the company. I was really looking forward for camera, but
my kids videos all have come really bad.
4) To my surprise even though the screen is crisp and clear and good for reading, I did not enjoy watching movies on LG G2 screen. I
guess am used to Amoled pure blacks while watching movies. And also if you just view the screen even with a little angle of 20 degrees ,
the viewing on screen becomes real bad.
5) Outdoor viewing is OK but not great.Screen is really shiny outdoors and am actually a bit surprised that outdoor visibility is not great
compared to HTC One or Note 3. (Note 3 really surprised me outdoors)
6) No sdcard and battery, I know its not a con for some people but after using lot of galaxy phone am kind of used to have all my books
and movies on sdcard. Convenience can sometimes be a con for people like me.
7) On screen buttons look ugly while playing some games. Some people prefer this but I dont.
8) G2 somehow feels heavy and its around 140 grams approximately.
9) I have been waiting for an OTA update for so long , but with past history of LG not doing software updates quick enough, I really have
some reservations about their record.
NOTE 3 over LG G2 (Note 3 Pros)
1) Oh my God ! Screen is really beautiful and crisp, its like a small LED tv on your hand. Absolutely brilliant, not sure why I prefer this over G2 I
prefer actually reading news on Note 3.
2) Textured back and lightweight make it really really useful and this is only 24 or 28 grams more than G2. To my surprise I really liked
the leather textured plastic back which make note 3 easier to grip as well. Build quality is really good and no creaking noise anywhere.
3) Amoled screen, Watching hd movies on this screen is really great. Colour saturation can be a bit more on standard setting, but if you
choose professional mode you will see a lot of difference. May be am biased here but once you watch movies on Amoled screen, its difficult
to go back to LCD. I think the best display quality is HTC One, but htc one has got too many other headaches which am not going to
mention here.
4) Outdoor visibility really is nice now and I dont have to worry , its clear and actually better than G2.
5) S-Pen is really more useful now than before and the handwriting recognition improved quite a lot. This is really a very productive feature
if you really use Citrix xenapp and remote desktop to check office work extra. For me this is where S-Pen is really useful. Air view touch is
also nice.
6) Video recording quality is really very good when compared to G2, No auto focus issues and I have taken 4k recording and slow motion
videos and they are really good.
7) Camera picture quality for indoors is better than G2.
8) I have already got 3 OTA updates in a week and I guess this is where Samsung scores high marks and software updates are really quick
from Samsung compared to G2.
9) Speakers are good and better than G2.
10) Once you are used to Sdcard and the option of extra battery, its really hard to go back to the closed world. Old habits die hard.
Note 3 cons:
1) It feels big and is big. Sometimes my hands get tired if I try to use too long. I really wish width was a little lesser. But am negating this
issue by using gestures via 3rd party apps. But definitely feels bigger than G2.
2) If you are like me and use the phone on commuting in undergrounds, using with single hand can be difficult. This is where G2 scores
high.(G2 is also slippery but fits in hand)
3) Camera is OK in low light conditions, but not great. Not that impressed here. Default settings are changed in video mode and camera mode and its really annoying as I had to go through lot of settings to get it right.
4) They have removed some features like Popup browser, Eye Scrolling and Air view on browsers compared to Note 2. I don't use these
features other than popup browser but these features can be useful for others.
5) Bluetooth sound is low compared to G2.
6) Wifi quality and signal quality are always one bar lesser than G2.
Conclusion: After using both for a solid 2 weeks I have decided to go for NOTE 3. Ultimately the features for productivity, convenience of
sdcard and battery, display quality , and the timely software updates won me over the G2. And this is all for 50 pounds more.
Hope this might be helpful for some.

Well, if for you region locking is no problem, get what you like,
else dont buy a samsung device. Wait for custom roms. Knox security is an easy way to lose warranty if you flash any rom aswell.

I have the chance to buy tomorrow the Nexus 5 16GB (no 32GB model available at the local store where I would buy it).
I just don't see it being a huge upgrade from my SG3.
Camera is still 8 megapixel (and probably won't take much better pictures), still 1080P video recording, only 0.2 bigger screen (but 1080P IPS, with cooler colors but much brighter), battery is just 200mah bigger (probably both have same battery life throughout the day. It's not a huge upgrade. G2 battery would be a huge upgrade), speakers are actually worst, no microSD (I have a 32GB microSD inside), etc.
I do prefer stock Android 1000 times more than any other skin, plus updates.
What do you guys think? Should I buy the Nexus 5 or maybe a bigger upgrade like the G2 or wait for next years top smartphones like HTC One 2014 or SGS5?

I came from the S4 and actually am very happy with my choice. The phone has flaws just like all phones do. But it is extremely snappy and smooth. And the camera is actually way better than the S3. Look at the Picture thread here. And battery life is pretty good for me. About 22hrs unplugged and 4-5 screen on time has been achieved. I have even seen better. I would definitely recommend, espically if you love stock Android. The only issue I really have is that the speakers aren't the greatest, but are no where near bad. I love this phone. ?

I've come from an S3 gt-i9300
Camera is shed loads better (its not about mpx)
Screen is more realistic (although blacks aren't as deep)
Battery is LOADS better (snap dragon is low power)
Graphics capabilities a million times better
Much MUCH faster phone
much better memory management
Depends which S3 you had but so much better than the international version (its ridiculous)
The 16 GB version is really easy to fill though

Yeah, I've got the international version, which practically has zero multiasking due to the 1GB RAM and Touchwiz taking 80% of that.
Camera is really much better? I'm actually happy with the SGS3 camera, so if it is similar I would be happy too. I just expected a much bigger improvement whatever phone is next.
I wont game at all with the phone (I do that with my Nexuw 7), so I actually prefer bigger battery and better camera than performance/graphics. That's why I'm also considering the LG G2.
I love stock, but maybe on a phone it's more important to have even bigger battery and camera than stock experience and updates?

My wife's GS3 was acting funny..turns out she updated the TMobile Account app, which re-enabled the CarrierIQ spyware crap. As I was troubleshooting her GS3, I found it EXTREMELY laggy, and stuttering on just about every touch event, even after a full ram clear and reboot and freezing TMO CarrierIQ apps (there were 3). After spending a half-hour on it, I could NEVER return to that phone as a daily driver...the Nexus 5 is THAT good. Nix..that GREAT. I already bought her a nice XMas gift, but now I'm thinking of getting her a Nexus 5 just so I don't have to endure the GS3 again.

You should see some big gaines over the G3. I have the LG G2, which is the same CPU/GPU and it blazes. There are plenty of S4 users that moved up to the G2/N5. I'd think going from TouchWiz > AOSP would be big enough gains to switch.
Nexus 5, LG G2, and Note 3 are all basically the same hardware with little obvious perks for each.

Yeah, going to AOSP is the biggest improvement IMO. It would be great, as it will never slow down, not even with future updates.
The only thing holding me back right now is battery. I would love a huge battery, like the ones in LG G2 and Note 3. But then, who knows if software will still be fluid in one or two years... But I would hate having only 2-3 hours screen on time with the Nexus 5.

Not really, since you are buying it from a store just get it and test it out then return it if you don't like it enough. Simple as that.
I upgraded from a Galaxy S3 and I am very pleased.
I did get a 32GB online. Much of my pleasure comes from dumping Sprint and my old contract, and starting with Straight Talk/AT&T. superior LTE data speeds at a savings of around $ 40 a month.

I found the N5 to be a substantial upgrade over the S4, which in turn was a sizeable upgrade over the S3. When I pick up my wife's S3 and do anything with it, it feels like I'm stepping back in time. The screen in particular is a joke by comparison, and the GPU is pretty weak. She doesn't get impressive battery life either.

Let me show you guys something.
Been playing for 20 minutes with my SGS3 to check how fast battery drains. Wi-Fi was on for just 4 minutes, 3G off, sync off, brightness at max, BT off, Google now off.
All I did was watch 2 videos (7 minutes in total), visit one website and the rest of the time just going around the UI.
My battery was at 99% and in those 20 minutes it fell down to 90%. Wow. It's worst than I thought. I don't use that much my phone now that I've got my Nexus 7.
I don't want another phone with this crap battery for 2 years. Right now I'm leaning towards the Note 3 or LG G2. I like the Nexus 5 much more. That's obvious. But I also want the biggest battery possible.
At least I got my Nexus 7 to get updates, but on my phone I guess there are other priorities too apart from updates and stock Android.

Well I suggest the G2. Bigger battery (2300v3000), slightly bigger screen, better DPI (430v480), better cam.
The G2 software is amazing. There is a whole thread on the G2 forums about all the cool little features like Navbar Keyboard Arrows like AOKP roms. The IR Remote app is very cool. I dunno. I can't even flash a custom rom for long without wanting to flash back.
LG is pushing the G2. They already released a 4.4 rom on the Korean model with others filtering through the carriers now. The Verizon version has already had 2 OTA updates with KitKat expected soon.
The Note 3 is locked down tight. No development last time I checked. G2 has CM11 and AOKP and PA. G2 AOKP > N5 AOKP imo.
You lose up to the minute software updates though. My N7 fills that void though.
I have 14 hours on my G2 right now with 2:21 hours of screen on time and 35% left using stock rom.

in my country iphone 6 is very expensive and with that specs for me its an waste of money, 6+ is very big , 6 is perfect for me but have something like 1800 mah or 1900 mah battery my hox already have 1800 mah and its a pain.
im stuck between z3, g3, and m8. z3 have superior specs than rivals and epic battery life which is very important for me. if you ask why? im using my htc one x nearly 2 years. with this months 21. day it will be complete 2 year. i never used my phone without power saving. getting into clash of clans and collecting the resources drains %10 of my battery.
right now i wanna ask you guys how is the z3? still it didnt released in my country (im from turkey,the land of great taxes) so i dont have any idea about phone. i just saw some pictures, watch reviews and read some specs thats it
my hox have a wifi problem which is a design fault edit: also i send my phone to the guarantee like 4th time because of wifi problem
did z3 have any problems? i heard about glass cracking problem but it only showed up 0.6% of the z3's
my head little bit mixed between this amiral ships.

Depends on what you want really.
One M8 is huge and has a smaller screen than both Z3 and G3.
Z3 and M8 have much better speakers than the G3.
Z3 and M8 are more premium design than G3.
G3 has higher res screen, but there's no point in having 1440p screens on a smartphone.
Z3 has far brighter screen than M8 or G3.
Z3 has far better battery life than M8 or G3.
G3 feels much better in the hand compared to M8 or Z3.
M8 has the better software compared to G3 and Z3. HTC are very good with updates as well.
One thing I will say, all three phones are very easy to drop. Z3 is slippery glass, G3 slippery plastic, M8 slippery metal. G3 and Z3 are much easier to hold though due to them being much smaller than the M8.
I'll try to sum up my personal impression:
The Z3 is a great phone. Playing 3D games, I had like 10% drain in one hour. The screen is very nice, it's slightly cold white balance is only noticable when you have a warm light source nearby and it can easily be corrected with apps or the built-in settings. The speakers are clear and headphone output is great. Performance is awesome too, I haven't noticed any lagging.
If you're interested in technical stuff: Cores 2 and 3 are sleeping most of the time even with the phone in use and all energy saviing disabled, which in my opinion means that low-level CPU control is quite good. Charging speed is 0.5% per minute on the stock 1.5A charger. Call quality is great, though I'm just sending my unit back as people can barely hear me when I use the built-in micropone. On the headset that came with it (Sony MH750, not noise cancelling), sound quality is great.
I like the stock UI, but if you like Sense, it's likely quite a bit different. Unlocking the bootloader means losing a few features at the moment, but if you really want Sense on it, I'm sure there will be a port coming sometime - you're not the only one.
I have had zero problems with WiFi at home and university (eduroam) so far, but there is at least one more thread where someone complains about WiFi-performance, so it's a definitive statement.
I can't say much about fragility. I have never used a phone without a cover / case, though things tend to fall down from my hands. I'll see how the Z3 holds up to that. I also take the phone out of my pocket before I sit down.
Now, about battery size: You seem to worry about the 2600 mAh M8 battery vs. 3100 mAh in the Z3. Let me tell you that the software has a much bigger impact on battery life than the hardware, especially with two devices as similar as the M8 and Z3 (hardware-wise). My old HTC Desire HD drew around 400 mA with the screen on and in use, the Z3 with it's much bigger screen and faster CPU takes around 260 mA. If you can get your hands on an M8, install something like "Battery Monitor" or "3C toolbox" and see if you can get a few readings while using the phone as you would normally (normal brightness etc.). The Sense UI might use more or less power than the Sony one, for example. thx for answers. i really liked the m8 i will look for it one more time so its still in list. how is the z3's durability? i always use my phones with case and screen protection.

i never notices it have 2gb ram. i just check it you're right m8 have 2gb ram

I own 2 G3's (F460S, D850) currently and here's my take:
The G3 has the best camera (OIS and laser for fast auto focusing , faster than any phone I've used)
The 2k screen is noticeably better (I had a Note 3 before this and you can tell the difference in resolution)
The speaker on the G3 is louder/better sounding than the Note 3 and S5 (I haven't tested it against the m8)
The G3 UI is very clean and simple without being too heavy.
The G3 is the size of the Z3 maybe a little smaller with a bigger screen.
I love my G3's but I'll probably get a Z3 as a backup phone however I don't think I'd use it as a primary.
I have had the d850 "ATT Brand" G3 for awhile now. Having had an HTC for my last 3 phones I was hesitant, but I've grown very fond of the G3. It is very simple u.I. great screen and battery life as well. Most features stock on G3 are what people were wanting on an AOSP ROM after rooting. I thought this was awesome! I'm coming from the HTC One and while the Boomsound speakers sounded great at first they deteriorated over time. The G3s speaker is excellent and with good quality tones or music the hi-fi shines and sounds great. Everyone will have different opinions or problems, likes/dislikes with any product. Actually they're all great devices I'd pick the one which best suits you. Good luck!

i didnt get the "m8 handles gaming better on battery" part. i love gaming but m8 have 2600 mah battery, z3 have 3100 mah battery also got 2 power saver modes (stamina, ultra stamina)
i read on websites they said m8 have the worst camera compared to its rivals. z3 have solid 20.7 mp but m8 have 4mp with a ultrapixel sensor.
also i heard boomsound is worse than beats?
anyway its an old smartphone compared to its rivals. first i was waiting for m9 but it will released at 2015 first quarter.its a long time and i cant continue with hox anymore

well i mosty use whatapp, 3G Mobile Data is nearly always online, and play some games after the htc one x experience im thinking twice for htc

well my friend is using a g2. i was recommend it to him when he was a bit confused between samsung and lg and he was a samsung fan.
he just love it, also he says "you must get g3, i test it and after the g2 experience i totally recommend it to you, you must be insane if you not think to buy g3"
also i loved the laser focusing but some users says in turkish forums they having issues with laser focusing.
well in my country these phones are bit expensive. i mean im pretty sure i will use it min 1 year so im just trying to do the right choice for myself.

I have never had an issue with the laser focusing and I have had a G3 since it launched in Korea back in late may/early June. The G3 is a good phone I do like the Sony as well but it has too many issues currently for me to buy it.

well im just worried about camera(13mp s5 have 16, z3 have 20.7), battery and if i read correctly there is a little lag at the ui (mainscreen, menu etc) because of the high resolution screen
also issues like what? i only know about glass crack and overheating when recording 4k. i dont wanna buy a phone with issue anymore. my hox still in guarantee because of wifi. this is the 4th time i send them.i requested device change this time

I have used 4k recording and my phone doesn't get hot. Keep in mind I had the SD805 version of the G3. Also while battery life isn't as good as Sony (I get 5hours SOT on a good day ) I can replace the battery in less than 20 seconds. I have 2 batteries since my phone is the Korean version and it comes with a spare battery and charger. This is why the battery life isn't a big deal. The biggest thing I want is a waterproof phone, I love my G3 and I plan to keep it but the waterproofing is what I like about Sony. My wife has a s5 and I hate the physical home button so I thought Sony would be a good choice.
My phone has 0 lag I uploaded a short video of the onscreen nav of my phone I'll post the link down below. Its very smooth (~48k on antutu is pretty good) and I'm running the stock ROM rooted with no performance mods. If I ran AOSP it would certainly be faster and get better battery life. Each has their own advantage I will eventually get Sony or another as a backup, I just don't want to go through the hassle of getting s lemon.

So I'm coming from S6 to this budget device due to the terrible battery life on S6. So first Impressions of play are this. Screen is sharp and looks great even when only 1080p. The experience is snappy and fluid no issues so far even when playing more intensive games. The camera has me blown away as previous Moto cameras suck but this is great. Overall I'm satisfied as hell

Look at those images! Day light image so far so stunning. I think it's a tad on a warmer side I just opened image in photoshop and moved kelvin (temperature) slider towards cooler so it looks probably the way it should look. Lizard is rich detail with some nice colour reproduction (natural and vibrant) complimented with bokeh effect to it naturally wrapping around. WoW
Low light is little weak but overall ok. How did you focus in low light? How do you find focus working? This phone impresses me!
White balance correct.
I just used the circle focus put it on subject and snapped. Light needed adjusted using slider but overall pretty easy and quick snaps.

Take 1 cookie and 1 tube of superglue. Glue cookie to floor, then call son into room. You'll have plenty of time to get some snaps whilst he tries to get the cookie!

You can't take Photospheres nor Panoramas with the Google Camera app, if that's what you're wondering... Just tested on my brand new X Play that I'll probably return in the next few days...
(You can take panoramas in the Motorola Camera app though!)
And in other apps like A Better Camera or Ucamera? Can those make panoramic photos?

Well, thinking about returning it, that is, to be honest.
I'm kinda mad at the lack of gyroscope and gestures. Waving my hand to wake up the Moto Display was very convenient for me. The Moto X 2014 is better than the Moto X Play in all areas except battery life and camera (which I don't care that much about). Plus, it's really bigger than what I expected, coming a Moto X 2013. I had tried the 2014 and it was still cool, but the Play is even larger.
I've been thinking a lot about it, considering I only have 10 days to return it. It's great for everything I'm doing with a cellphone (except the photospheres that I do just for the lulz and show off tbh), I shouldn't miss the chop chop action too much since it wasn't even on the Moto X 2013, same for the IR sensors since the Lollipop update.
The question is: could I get better buck for money?
And I think I can, if I shop enough on ebay; I'm thinking about buying the Droid Turbo instead. Bigger battery, better specs, smaller, better software (with Moto gestures), same price. I heard it was unlocked on GSM frequencies and I'm in Canada (can someone correct me?), so I wouldn't even have to unlock it. More futureproof imo.
I'll probably get used to the physical buttons. The IPS screen is so ugly with blacks. I don't want to "see" the black bar! It's really bluer than the 2013 screen (which was yellow-ish), and it kinda feels cheap to me. But maybe it's only me. However it's much much brighter (minimum brightness on the Play is around half brightness on the 2013), so that's a good point!
I also received my Moto X Play today and am very pleased with it so far!
The only weird thing i have encountered is that i usually use procapture for my main camera but it seems stuck with 13mp. Anyone else have this app and problem?

i am also on the hunt for a droid turbo. and also i am rocking the moto x 2013 (skipped x 2014 because of the battery). really hate motorola this year. i mean i do hate everything apple but they have some sense releasing a small device and a larger one. however motorola released a larger device and an even larger one. also, they put the larger battery on the smaller device and the smaller battery on the larger device !!!.

Yeah. I really don't like the "branding"/marketing part of Apple, but another part I really liked of them was that they weren't trying to win the specs race (à la Samsung), but instead focused on user experience and software optimization. Motorola did that when it got acquired by Google, giving birth to things like the Moto G being faster than the Galaxy S5 for everyday tasks like opening apps and stuff.
After 5.1 on the Moto X 2013 though, it became buggy, doing a full software optimization everytime I soft reset, sometimes shutdowning because of hotness (I guess?), after I plugged it into the Moto X Play charger for instance... Also the "Read SMS aloud" seemed to be activated everywhere, every place, even when I was at work where I had set silent mode and was in a meeting on my calendar (?!?!).
So yeah. I really hope it was because it's a 2 yo device and the Moto X Play will handle these features better. I'm quite happy they brought back FM Radio on a "not entry model", it has become something that most flagships lack but every entry level phones have! (Except Samsung because Samsung & Gadgets, y'know.)
ANYWAY
Back to the subject: I took many photos and some videos today (college hazings! ), and I'm quite happy with the results. Indoor quality still isn't perfect (seems nice on screen, but as soon as you zoom in you see motion blur if the subjects weren't totally still). Outdoor quality is really nice though. However, when taking videos, there seems to be a noticeable lag on screen, around half a sec. It's weird and gives the impression there's OIS. On the total opposite, one thing I'm really impressed with is the photo taking speed. The 2013 would take forever to focus, wait and snap. The X Play basically just, well, takes a live screenshot of what is on screen with no waiting at all.
The X 2013 was actually my first smartphone, so I dunno if the average is "instant photo snap" à la X Play or the "wait one sec then snaps it" à la 2013. I know the X 2013 didn't have the best camera (and it's an euphemism), but I don't care much about it tbh.
Also, as expected, panoramas suck. I dunno if you're supposed to scroll it or rotate (à la Photosphere), but rotating seems totally not working, although it was working with the Moto X 2013 and the Moto Camera app...
I'm very pleased with the camera on this device. It's the best camera I've ever had on any phone. Here's a picture of my cousin's cat that I took this weekend on my last CyanogenMod build with the stock CM camera.
The detail and overall quality are outstanding. The compression used by imgur detracts from the quality a bit at 100%, the original is even better. I give the camera two thumbs up.
This one with [email protected], I assume, since HDR is on auto, the sun low at 7 pm, shining from the side onto the Cologne Cathedral, giving its gothic structures a very graphical appearance. Just the highlights are somewaht too bright. The image says it was taken with 1/120 sec, so not the top sharpness due to hand motion.
Here are some photos I took indoor, in bright artificial light however. Just did a quick snap and moved on. I used the manual exposure and focus in the stock Moto camera app (which is really annoying, no tap to focus, no shutter button).
Mostly macro shots. Getting closer than 4 cm doesn't focus.

I need a new phone and deciding between the GF2 and the 1+X is incredibly hard. I got an invite, but I'm not sure I should go for it. I need to know soon since I have until tomorrow to decide as the deal on NewEgg for the GF2 ends tomorrow. I love the specs, but do you guys see this device getting support in the future from devs? Oneplus will have more support, LG G Flex 2 bootloader is still locked which makes it almost impossible to make roms/kernels. I went with flex 2 and i like it, snapdragon 810 is beast compared to 801. And i heard the 801 in Oneplus underpreforms in games, but i guess it will be fixed with updates. LG G Flex 2 weakest point in my opinion is screen. In theory it's very good, perfect blacks due to Plastic OLED, nice intensive colors, a little bit too high brightness. But practically a lot of people has some color tints on screen, brightness difference on screen and ,the worst in my opinion, grain, which occur mostly on greyish colors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9pYswQitiU
Some are better, some are worse. I think of sending my phone to LG for display replace, because i have some grainess and little blue tints on left side of my screen.
Thanks for the input. That's what I was thinking, but my worry is after Marshmellow LG is going to leave this device in the dust. Besides that, I'm leaning toward in every way. I love what OnePlus did with the X though so I'm kinda on a fence. In all honesty, a SD 400 is still plenty fast in my eyes which is why I'm a little skeptic. Does the overhearing issue still exist, and do you see this device ever getting an unlocked boot loader? When it does, can we expect ROMs such as CM 13? I just don't know what to do
I think it will get unlocked in future, and people will start to make roms, mods and kernels for Flex 2. It is still most powerful LG device to date, and it has power for atleast few more years, because they didn't go with QHD display like in LG G4 or G3 for example, which is stupid move for me, 1080p denisty on 5.5' Flex 2 is more than necessary, iphone 6s has "only" 326 pixel per inch, but screen is still sharp and less pixels makes its performance one of the best in smartphones. And, LG G4 is "only" SD808 + QHD while Flex 2 is SD810 + FHD. Flex 2 does not overheat in my opinion. It gets pretty warm, and system slows down hardware a little, but the device isn't too hot and performance is still top shelf. I have little blue tint on my screen and some grainess, i'm going to send it back to LG for replace, will see if things get better or worse
//Edit: And wow, this phone is super handy and comfortable. I was worried, because my previous LG Optimus G was 4.7', i tried to use my friend's 5,5' lenovo and i was sceptical about big displays. But the curve and design makes huge difference for Flex I don't know really why LG acts like they forgot about Flex 2. It is one of the best phones i had and it is pretty cheap if we look at other flagships. I guess they moved on to LG G4 is POLED, which is great, but there is a lot problems with grain, tints, etc.

Totally agree with you. 2k or above resolution is superfluous on 5.5" or smaller screen as we can hardly see the differences with naked eyes and it just weakens the performance and battery of the phone.
