Both the Note 3 and the G2 should be lag free considering the powerful S800 SOC in them (The HTC One with the S600 is smooth already), the LG G2 has an IPS LCD while the blacks are good they are not "true black", and stuck/dead pixels can happen in any device with an LCD and to some extent could happen to an AMOLED too.

Hmmm. Kill lg g2.. I m fan of true black lol..
S4 or note 3 there is so much price difference BTWeen that phones..
S4 is for 34k and note 3 is for 45k in Indian rupees.. Which so much difference.. Would u suggest me s4 ? Or note 3 ? If note 3 have not much feature for its so much high price..

I find the Note 3 the much better phone than the S4, much bigger screen (5,7" vs 5"), faster processor and GPU (S800 2.3 GHz with Adreno 330 vs S600 1.9 GHz with Adreno 320), more RAM (3GB vs 2GB), a better camera (4K recording (2160p) vs Full HD recording (1080p)) and a bigger battery (3200 mAh vs 2600 mAh) and it has a WACOM digitizer and the S-Pen which the S4 doesn't support. As for the price the Note 3 was just released while the S4 is on the market for a while thats why the big difference in prices.

G2 D802 VS NOTE 3 N9005
I hope and I believe this post might be useful for someone who is deciding between G2 (D802 UK Model) and Note 3 (N9005 UK model).I have been following this thread for a long time and read all opinions in these forums, but never wrote any opinions. Short Version for the answer is, I have picked Note 3 over G2 after using both for 2 weeks. I have also used S4, S3, Note 1,Note 2, Htc One and S2 quite a lot so am aware of the pitfalls of Samsung devices.
Long Version and my reasons are below and these are only my opinions.
LG G2 Pros (G2 over Note 3)
1) Screen whites are clear white and LCD screen is very good. Especially reading books and web you will see clear whites.
2) Knock on feature to lock and unlock is the most used feature and once you start using it , you will start thinking how good it is and may
be all android devices copy this feature. I actually started knocking other devices now and trying to mimic this feature on note 3 with some 3rd party apps and as you all know they are not the same and don't work that well.
3) Bluetooth sound on my planatronics voyager hd is better for some reason on G2. More clear and high volume.
4) Wifi and mobile signal is really good , more than note 3. I guess its atleast one bar more on G2. Call quality is also very good.
5) Single hand usage is really good and its almost a perfect device. (Almost perfect !!! -- reason in cons.)
6) Lots of customisation options like multi wallpaper, zooming in for sms windows and themes in G2 stock rom. I actually
give more marks to G2 stock launcher. G2 Keyboard is also good.
7) Battery life is really good. I use mobile devices to watch atleast 2 hours of video in a day and not a single day its completely finished.
8) Camera pics are really good in day light and good in night time when there is sufficient light.
9) Back buttons are also nice , some might prefer and some might not.
G2 Cons:
1) G2 looks beautiful from front, but back is ugly , plasticky , cheap and damn slippery. Reason almost perfect is because if they made the
back more textured or grippable , they would have sold may be more devices. I actually find handling note 3 easier sometimes as note 3
device textured back is really useful. People call samsung plastic, but note 3 build quality is really really good. LG back sometimes make a
creaking sound and if you drop I can guarantee that G2 will break rather than note 3 due to edge screen on G2. Actually I feel that I will
drop G2 more quickly than Note 3.
2) Inside the house the low light pics are horrible and full of noise. This surprised me and I am disappointed with camera on low light
pictures. One more thing I have noticed the G2 camera pictures sometimes have blue hue to the picture.
3) Video recording ,,,,, oh my dog ! Am not sure what to say about it, its bad, it keeps auto focusing every 2 seconds to a point where it
gets really annoying. Am note sure how this has gone through QA testing from the company. I was really looking forward for camera, but
my kids videos all have come really bad.
4) To my surprise even though the screen is crisp and clear and good for reading, I did not enjoy watching movies on LG G2 screen. I
guess am used to Amoled pure blacks while watching movies. And also if you just view the screen even with a little angle of 20 degrees ,
the viewing on screen becomes real bad.
5) Outdoor viewing is OK but not great.Screen is really shiny outdoors and am actually a bit surprised that outdoor visibility is not great
compared to HTC One or Note 3. (Note 3 really surprised me outdoors)
6) No sdcard and battery, I know its not a con for some people but after using lot of galaxy phone am kind of used to have all my books
and movies on sdcard. Convenience can sometimes be a con for people like me.
7) On screen buttons look ugly while playing some games. Some people prefer this but I dont.
8) G2 somehow feels heavy and its around 140 grams approximately.
9) I have been waiting for an OTA update for so long , but with past history of LG not doing software updates quick enough, I really have
some reservations about their record.
NOTE 3 over LG G2 (Note 3 Pros)
1) Oh my God ! Screen is really beautiful and crisp, its like a small LED tv on your hand. Absolutely brilliant, not sure why I prefer this over G2 I
prefer actually reading news on Note 3.
2) Textured back and lightweight make it really really useful and this is only 24 or 28 grams more than G2. To my surprise I really liked
the leather textured plastic back which make note 3 easier to grip as well. Build quality is really good and no creaking noise anywhere.
3) Amoled screen, Watching hd movies on this screen is really great. Colour saturation can be a bit more on standard setting, but if you
choose professional mode you will see a lot of difference. May be am biased here but once you watch movies on Amoled screen, its difficult
to go back to LCD. I think the best display quality is HTC One, but htc one has got too many other headaches which am not going to
mention here.
4) Outdoor visibility really is nice now and I dont have to worry , its clear and actually better than G2.
5) S-Pen is really more useful now than before and the handwriting recognition improved quite a lot. This is really a very productive feature
if you really use Citrix xenapp and remote desktop to check office work extra. For me this is where S-Pen is really useful. Air view touch is
also nice.
6) Video recording quality is really very good when compared to G2, No auto focus issues and I have taken 4k recording and slow motion
videos and they are really good.
7) Camera picture quality for indoors is better than G2.
8) I have already got 3 OTA updates in a week and I guess this is where Samsung scores high marks and software updates are really quick
from Samsung compared to G2.
9) Speakers are good and better than G2.
10) Once you are used to Sdcard and the option of extra battery, its really hard to go back to the closed world. Old habits die hard.
Note 3 cons:
1) It feels big and is big. Sometimes my hands get tired if I try to use too long. I really wish width was a little lesser. But am negating this
issue by using gestures via 3rd party apps. But definitely feels bigger than G2.
2) If you are like me and use the phone on commuting in undergrounds, using with single hand can be difficult. This is where G2 scores
high.(G2 is also slippery but fits in hand)
3) Camera is OK in low light conditions, but not great. Not that impressed here. Default settings are changed in video mode and camera mode and its really annoying as I had to go through lot of settings to get it right.
4) They have removed some features like Popup browser, Eye Scrolling and Air view on browsers compared to Note 2. I don't use these
features other than popup browser but these features can be useful for others.
5) Bluetooth sound is low compared to G2.
6) Wifi quality and signal quality are always one bar lesser than G2.
Conclusion: After using both for a solid 2 weeks I have decided to go for NOTE 3. Ultimately the features for productivity, convenience of
sdcard and battery, display quality , and the timely software updates won me over the G2. And this is all for 50 pounds more.
Hope this might be helpful for some.

Well, if for you region locking is no problem, get what you like,
else dont buy a samsung device. Wait for custom roms. Knox security is an easy way to lose warranty if you flash any rom aswell.

I would go for note 3

I agree with this guy. I'm lucky enough to own both and an Optimus G Pro (I work for AT&T), and for ME, I prefer the One (and I actually like the Optimus Pro G more than the GS4). Both the One and S4 get comparable battery life. My rooted one gets 5 hours screen on time with 16 hours off the charger and will still have around 25% left. GS4 doesn't quite match that But it's not rooted and is all stock. They seem to both get through the day with no issues for me.
I won't make a long review as all three of these flagships are great, and the "down sides" to each is all really nit-picking, but here's why I like the One the most:
1) HTC Sense is now lighter than Touch wiz. In fact, all the cool features that I like about the GS4 make the phone seem to lag, or get stuck (like pausing while switching to landscape).
2) The GS4 reminds me of the GS3,just with added features (having owned a GS3,this bores me, but if you never owned a galaxy s3 then this won't affect you)
3) having kids the main selling point for the one is with the camera. Though it has less megapixels than the GS4, the Ultra pixels allow in more light. Also, it has both software and hardware image stabilization, while the GS4 only has software stabilization. Having two kids this was really important to me. The camera on the One doesn't look as good when zoomed in (because of the Ultra pixels) but I almost never get a blurry picture with the One whereas I do get a few on my GS4.
4) the screen on the one is just absolutely gorgeous. I prefer the truer colors of the One than the over saturation of colors on the Galaxy s4. However some people do prefer a more vibrant colors of the galaxy s4. The One has the best screen I've ever seen.
5) the build quality of the HTC One is absolutely amazing. It just feels like a work of art.
6) you get double the storage space with the HTC One as you do with the Galaxy s4 for the same price. At the moment SD card slots are becoming less important not just because of cloud storage but because apps have to be stored on internal storage. So the only thing SD cards are good for are pictures music and videos for the most part.
7) and lastly, because I love rooting my phone, the fact that the HTC One hardware and software are the same in both the US model and international model makes the development community bigger for the one in that I can flash roms made by people in different countries. With the GS4, the US model and international model are different making any international roms incompatible with the US galaxy s4.
As I said they are all great devices and like the post before me it really comes down to personal preference. everything that I listed above is all really nitpicking because the phones have their advantages each in their own right.
You really can't make a wrong choice here. I hope this helps!

I think S4 is a better choice cause it has replaceable battery... so u can use it a lot....
It all depends really if you prefer touch wiz or sense. Also if you want a removable battery or not. I picked the Gs4 because of the battery. As soon as I got my phone I picked up a ZeroLemon 7500 mAh battery and geat a solid 2 days of heave use and 2 1/2 to 3 days with medium use.

Neither. If you are wanting a phone for long term, you would be better off waiting for Snapdragon 800 CPU phones that are going to be coming out soon instead of getting a S600 CPU phone like the S4 or One.
I got a S4 and bought a aluminium battery cover (not case, just replacement battery cover). Doing so improved the build quality of the S4 substantially for me. I flashed the Google Edition rom because I dont need all the samsung features, really improved my battery life as well.

ok let me tell you my optinion about +/- of htc one
+Awesome Design
+Bright Screen
+Smooth software
+Awesome sound
+Full HD screen
+GPS works very good (I Don't know how it works on S4 but on Dell Streak it was awful)
-Overheating!!!
-Have only 1 dead pixel [annoying anyway]
-Only 32GB [But only 26GB is available for usage] and No MicroSD card place
-Unremovable Battery
-Charging takes a bit longer
-Camera is 4 Mpixel [In spite of "UltraPixel", Image Sharpness of S4 is much better]
-Batterylife is not that good if you like to play games
-You just NEED a case cover because the aluminium in the back side can be easly scratched (not big scratches)
Аlthough its overheating, it doesn't start to lag, but Galaxy S4 does
think that HTC one.

Personally I would say the Note 3, I am getting mine this weekend. If you really use your phone for videos and gaming and just overall alot of screen time and like big phones/screens, then get the Note 3. If you don't use your phone for other then maybe a few games or apps here and there and don't like big phones/screens get the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 is a good phone, but all in all it isn't really a multimedia phone in my opinion. Though so might say otherwise.
The Nexus phones are really meant for developers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_Dev_Phone
it should come down to cost and potentially hand size.
The note 3 is slightly better, but significantly more expensive.
If cost is a factor or if you have girl hands, go N5. If cost isn't a factor and/or you have man hands, go note 3.

As a woman, I object to that.
Anything over 4" is too big to hold as a woman, so what does it matter if it is 5 or 5.7"? (Put that thing back in your pants lads, your phallus does not have a screen, let alone the ability to multitask.)
I wouldn't go back to a smaller phone if they paid me for it. No way.

Nexus 5 is a lot cheaper, for the price it's hard to beat. Still though the Note 3 is a much better phone overall.

I think you probably posted in the wrong forum to get an honest opinion.
I've been contemplating this too. Price is a factor. I also like the clean look vs the mess of status bar icons. Although it looks like I can address that through themes etc. The biggest things for me is the bigger screen and battery. I may go back to a Nexus device sometime, but for now I decided on the Note 3

They do have the same processor.
No comparison, the Note has sd card and changeable battery. Those are absolutely essential for me so the nexus doesn't even bear consideration.

Agreed. Those were my factors plus the multi window capability.
I have a Note 3 even though I was going to get a Nexus to receive the updates sooner. When they released the Nexus 5 I feared I would regret buying the Note, but no. I love this device and I don't think Nexus 5 offers a lot more compared to this, and it doesn't have spen. But keep in mind I wanted a big phone to replace a tablet too, so if you want something smaller and don't nees the spen, Nexus is an excellent choice for the price.

Sure it's cheaper and that's why it lacks the 40% of the things that N3 has.
I repeat you cannot compare 2 devices that are in 2 different categories with the biggest different imo the pen. Only phones with pen can be compared. Academically speaking nexus is great device for its price really but honestly if you go for N3 and used to the pen abilities there is no going back. I haven't touched with fingers except some zoom in/out since day 1.

Absolutely but the op hasn't really been clear about what they want from a phone so I stated the only logical reason to choose the Nexus 5 - price.

Go Nexus if you don't care about its poor battery life. At least you will be free of this Knox and locked bootloaders crap. It's also way cheaper and you will have way more roms and customizations available.

Congratulations on your first post I was in the same situation, whether to wait for Nexus 5 (still own Nexus 4) or buy this beast. And as you said it, I never regreted it, absolutely beatifull peace of hardware. And surprisingly, love the amoled and its deep blacks. I am back on Samsung after years of HTC/Google phones. Still need to get used to S-Pen, barely ever using it, but the phone is excellent even without it.
Got a Nexus 5, loved it but had issues with my 3UK home signal box so got a Note 3. Personally I prefer the Nexus 5 as its much easier to handle. Nexus I can use with one hand but when I do the same with the Note 3 I feel like i'm going to drop it. Both are amazing phones but to me 5" is the sweet spot for the mobile phone screen size.

So.. you compare specs.. whats the point ?
What a terrible biased "review" of both devices.
* You buy a Samsung Note series device for the S-Pen first, and whatever they throw in including the kitchen sink is icing on the cake
* You buy the Note 3 for the expandable memory and the removable battery! In which case you can add on a 2nd oem battery or use a plethora of external higher capacity batteries that are available
* what about the triple mic's on the note 3? The adaptive sound dsp?
* How easy to not mention about multi-window use on the note 3, the killer slow motion with 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 speed adjustments, the browse while you stream video window ability with the stock video player, the adjustable AMOLED color profiles, bluetooth 4.0LE, advanced modes, the wifi-direct modes
* what about the screen writing which works amazingly well? The s-Pen command mode with scrapbook, screen write, and the pressure sensitive screen???!!
* Don't forget the sensors on the note 3: Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, temperature, humidity, gesture
* how good the camera really is and no camera focus lag like on a nexus 5
* even if you guys don't like touchwiz, a simple launcher can fix that. But the bulk of the phone is made even better by samsung, really.
* and best of all it works on Verizon's network. Supports simultaneous LTE data and CDMA voice.
The pros on the nexus 5:
* price <---
* OIS in camera but what's the point when the extremely laggy focusing is in play
* IPS screen with ultra pixel density; at least no worries like SAMOLED screen burn
Those are about the 3 pro's going for the nexus in my book. I don't want stock android for it does NOTHING! Samsung threw in all the whiz bang features and if you don't like the features turn them off. At least you have that feature to turn off vs. a stock android which has nothing! I find it interesting the so called hard core android user choose nexus because they choose to have stock everything on the phone no extras. But what is the point of owning a smartphone in which you don't have any fancy features? Why not just get a regular dumb phone and call it a day.
And the article states you rarely change batteries - what a joke - because when my battery gets near 30% which is about 1day to 1.5days/2days time, I just swap it out in less than 40 seconds with a fresh one waiting in the charger. I use a 64GB Samsung mSD card now to hold all the 4K videos and 60fps 1080p videos and also the mic on the note 3 is extremely good! You can even zoom in the mic!
You shouldn't even compare the note 3 to the nexus 5 because the note 3 really is a fantastic phablet. The nexus 5 is a good phone for the price but again, if you want stock android that does nothing, go for it!

If you have the money for the note 3, it is a no brainer.
But nexus devices are still amazing.

Had both - started with the Note 3,sold it for the nexus 5, sold the nexus 5...and there I am, back with a black Note 3
The nexus is a BEAUTY! I love the design, the handling, the screen...I love the speed, the back of the device, the simplicity.
BUT:
I just can't go with a SP on which i can't rely on in terms of battery life. Not a great step forward from the nexus 4 - i am more a heavy user. And folks : if i have to turn off Google now just to be able to get through the day, there is seriously sth wrong. I want to be "power independent" and that is simply impossible with the nexus. And still the camera is kind of bad.
No, the Note wins in all terms. (at least for me)

Any issue or problem after use LG G Pro 2?i want to buy this phone, but i confused because the information about this phone is not very lack, not like LG G3. So maybe you guys can help give your opinion.
Thanks a lot
I came from a white G2 and have had my white g pro 2 for about 3 months and i love it, if you dont mind the size..
Its camera is awesome like the g2's (same as the g2's just faster focusing and better ois and 4k if you need it) The g pro 2 has a much more powerful speaker (though i do like the G2's placement better when flat on a desk)
Basically its just a bigger G2!
-Few more things to add
the g2 has a brighter notification led
the g2 has 10x more developer support
the g pro 2 screen is very slightly less saturated than g2's but has slightly better viewing angles
the g pro 2 comes stock with multi-window
the g pro 2 has SD card slot and removable battery
The funny thing is im thinking of going back to a white g2 because:
better notification led
more manageable size
developer support
better speaker placement for notifications on desk, but much worse quality for music etc
Ive looked at getting the G3 but i like the look of white phones, especially on the front surrounding the screen and the g3 doesn't really have white bezels, also the quad hd screen is overkill and makes SD801 struggle, this is why i actually prefer the look & performance of the G2..
It is a pretty decent phone. Size is manageable, depending on individual's requirements. It is fast and smooth. Standby time is pretty good. I get consistently +/- 5 hours screen on time with a single charge. I wish I can have more, but the screen of FHD is sucking lots of juices.
Rooting is easy.
Chances are high that we are getting the lollipop update. Keeping our fingers crossed.
Bought it recently and fully satisfied by this beast.
Camera is better than my old G2, Screen quality is also better but battery timing is the area where g2 beats it. If its size doesn't bother you, then its hell of a phone for you.

After, I read your review. Basically, LG G Pro 2 is a good smartphone. Many improvement in LG G Pro 2 from G2. I have thought to buy G3 too, but many opinion said that the battery not quite good and like you said that quad hd screen make SD801 struggle. Maybe, i will think it again to choose. any issue after you use lg g pro 2 after 3 months? Thanks for your review, leonclement

After i read the review from three of you, it seem lg g pro 2 is a good phone, people are satisfied after use this phone. althought it will compare to g2. hehe
For battery, maybe g2 is the best.
Thanks for your review,AamirXtreme
I bought this phone 5 months ago, and it was money well spent. Not a single moment of regret since i have this phone. Of course there are still pros and cons, which i will try to list.
Pros:
1. Excellent processor. I have never feel any excruciating lag from using this phone. Even after i play heavy games like modern combat, the phone doesnt show much lag
2. Ample RAM. This phone is quite future proof because it gives 3gb of RAM, thats why i love multitasking with this phone using LG's own windowed app
3.Excellent camera. This phone has a great camera. It can compete with the likes of g3, s5, even z3 and 6plus.
4. Screen size. I love watching hd movies on the go on this phone, the pictures are clear, the colors are spot on.
5. Big battery. From the time i wake up at 6 am, till i sleep at 11 pm, this phone usually still have >15% battery after a whole day of chatting plus 3d gaming and g+.
Cons:
1. Outdated processor by todays standard. Dont get me wrong though, this is still a very potent processor for all your need.
2. Large size. Its not that big for me, i can still use it 1 handed normally, but if you have small.hands, it might give you trouble, even though it has one handed mode.
3. Macro shot coulb be better. This is the only flaw i see from the camera
4. Less support in xda than other lg phones.
Hope this helps you decide, because IMO, you wont regret using this beast.
Absolutely agree with pros. Not deal breakers to me the cons.
Best device I've ever buyed until now.
Best phablet ever !!!

Would you change from a Note 3 to OPO?

Guys I just got an invite but am torn from moving off my Note 3. Anybody here make the move and why? Any benefits?

I'd never buy Samsung in the first place. There are already threads here discussing the differences between these two models, do a quick search and you'll find it.

It really is up to you. I personally would not change from a Note 3 to the OPO, because it is too small of an upgrade gap. Even if the OPO is cheaper, you're kinda losing money if you want to sell your Note 3. The OPO would probably have terrible resell value, too.
Benefits of moving from the Note 3 to the One:
More internal storage
Snapdragon 801
Cleaner appearance and software
Louder loudspeakers
Smaller volume/power buttons
Better "Price-to-performance" ratio (if you like that kinda thing)
Higher resolution selfie camera
But by moving, you will lose:
The Super AMOLED display which has better contrast, color gamut and touch sensitivity than the One's display
A removable battery and battery cover
USB 3.0
Expandable/removable storage
The S Pen
TouchWiz software perks like multi-window, Air Command, power saving mode etc.
Adequately bright capacitive buttons
Availability of accessories, replacement parts and after-sales support
Headset inline remote compatibility
MHL functionality
They both have:
A 13 MP camera (well to be precise the Note 3 is a 12.8 MP (4128 x 3096) and the OPO a 13.1 MP (4208 x 3096))
An all plastic build (with the Note 3 having slightly more metal components like the hardware buttons)
Magnesium chassis, although the OPO's is more rigid
1080p displays
3 GB RAM
4G LTE
Tri-mic configuration for noise reduction
Their cameras aren't vastly different from each other, with the Note 3 having the slight upper hand in image processing and LED flash brightness (use both phones as a torch and you'll know), but the One has the upper hand in post-capture image processing, because it can shoot in RAW. The Note 3's earpiece is louder, and the vibrate motor is stronger than the One's. And as you may know, here on XDA, the TouchWiz argument is somewhat irrelevant. You could always flash an AOSP ROM if you want to (but be wary of the Knox Warranty bit). The OnePlus One will get official updates quicker, but the Note 3 won't be far behind.
In the end, this is a very subjective thing. If you're interested in the OnePlus One enough that it's swaying you to upgrade from a Note 3, I suggest getting the OnePlus One, then use it for a while and see how it stacks up against your Note 3.
Thanks for the response. I ended up ordering the OPO. Verizon is is costing us too much a month. Most of the time we are on wifi so I don't see the benefits of paying double what everyone else is.
Much appreciated guys.

I found the tradeoff of AMOLED vs way better cameras, dt2w and (most of all) fantastic dev support was easy. OPO ftw. Been happy with OPO for many months now.
You'll love your upgrade too.

Strange, I found my Galaxy S4's camera to perform a little better indoors and in low-light than the OPO.
On top of dt2w, you also get those screen-off gestures which are pretty neat too!
I'm even thinking of trading in my Note 4 :-0
Guess I should wait till the 1+2 though.
I'm coming from a Note Edge on AT&T due to lack of root. I own my device, I should be able to do as I please with it. The amount of bull**** preloaded on carrier devices these days is ridiculous. (being able to disable said bull**** is besides the point.)
I gave my note 3 running slimLP to my wife, honestly was so tired of the driver issues (BT mainly..FU sammy!) and cant stand the stock touchwiz. OPO has been awesome! Running latest slimsaber and its better than the note3 mainly of course due to the open nature of the device. The differences in hardware, screen etc are minor unless you have it sitting right next to each other. No looking back !
I have sell my note 3 because the unstabled Roms and support .... I saw the oneplus one and i loved it since day 1
Gold Roms and 100+ Roms !!!

Please share your thoughts if coming from a note 8.

Can those who have come from a note 8,please share your thoughts and views, on what you miss, performance wise etc, now that you are using the pixel 2 thanks.
Miss the ability to use themes and select a different font. And nothing can beat the Samsung OLED panels! I don't miss the S-Pen that much though!
In short, the Note 8 is crammed with features and sometimes can come in the way of your working. I find the Pixels smoother to work with and just allow me to get what I need done. I probably wasn't the right demographic for the Note 8 anyway!

I have to agree here. I have a Note 8 review unit currently, and I haven't been able to put my Pixel 2 down since getting it. The camera is much better, and aside from a few nuances, I'm overall very happy with my choice.
I'm almost ready to upgrade and currently using an S7 edge. I torn between the Note 8 and either of the Pixel's did dropping in screen size take time to adjust?

I was honestly torn between the S8, Note 8, and Pixel 2. I think they're all great devices with pros and cons, and a great deal just depends upon personal taste. I'd highly recommend walking into a Best Buy or other store with these models on display, and take some time to play around with them.
One thing I will admit regarding the Note 8 is how surprised I was with its size. The Note 8 certainly has a large display, but I didn't find the device to be as unwieldy as I had expected. I also found the fingerprint reader to be far easier to use than I had assumed (I'm right-handed, and hold the devices with my left hand).
My only concern is how the Note 8 would feel in a pocket all day. I already have a great tablet that I use all the time (Kindle Fire HDX), so my phone is simply my "Go everywhere with me at all times device". I'd certainly be interested to hear from others how it feels with constant carry in pants or coat pockets, but IMHO I imagine the Pixel 2 being far easier to have on oneself 24/7 as opposed to a Note 8.
Substratum themes work on Pixel 2

For me personally the note 8,has been the fastest phone I have ever used. I know others don't have much care about the headphone jack, but for me it's just convinient to have. I listen to a lot of music, play games and watch movies on my phone so not having the headphone jack is a deal breaker for me.
I have been torn as well.
I wanted Pixel XL but it's screen issues put me off. Pixel 2 small big bezels, wasn't sure coming from 6p.
Ordered S8...
Stunned with the display but that's about it... Camera - front crap so much worse than 6p, rear - could capture nice pic but 6p was much more reliable in this matter.
Overall smoothness wasn't somehow great, still full of Samsung crap,. Fingerprint scanner is a joke, location, accuracy and speed.
After one day of owning it I have sent it back
...
And bought Pixel 2!
What an amazing experience. Super smooth, amazing camera, great display but tad small although appreciate one handed use so much!
Speakers could have some more bass.
You can't go wrong with Pixel. Great phone;

Hmm if the pixel is much smoother then it's definitely out of this world. I have found my note 8,to be very smooth as for the first time ever I have not bothered installing a custom kernel or any kernel tweaking app. I am using it stock , just rooted but it's been great. Maybe one more point is the fact that mine is the Exynos version so it might help explain why it's been performing great. I am however always on the lookout for a fast phone so might just try the pixels.
