[Q] [Request] D850 Modem - AT&T LG G3

I'm looking to test CM12 but if I don't like the bugs I would like to revert back to KitKat(probably Cloudy). I can make a backup but I don't think that includes the KitKat modem. Does anyone know where I can find the KitKat modem for the AT&T D850 variant?

Not true, on my D850 I needed to reflash the KK modem in order to retain a steady connection to AT&T's network.

this may no longer be true now that lollipop modem is out. but when thread was originally started it was not necessary as we only had modems for kk and flashing a cm12 rom from kk did not change modem. so your are right that if you are now running lollipop with the lollipop modem and want to flash back to kk you will need to flash kk modem.

Can this work..

Now all varients of the moto g are receiving the stock 4.4.4 update. Can I restore back to that 4.4.4 stock firmware?? Where can I find the XML file or when would it be released?
Sent from my Moto G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
In theory, yes. But, if you have a soft-bricked Moto G buy downgrading from 4.4.4 to 4.4.2, is most certain that you lost your IMEI, so if you can resolved the soft-brick, you still have a broken phone withou networt.

My phones not bricked,i dont know what it is, but its working, i can flash 4.4.4 roms, any other roms previous to 4.4.4 give me a encryption error? Fastboot gives me bootloader validation errors when trying to flash things.. its wierd man, like my phones in a custom rom comba ahha
So you think when they release the files for the stock 4.4.4 roms i can flash stock 4.4.4?

[Q] LOLIPOP to KITKAT downgrade help

Hello
had a question on if anything special is needed to go from lolipop and downgrading to kit kat or do i just flash like normal
I though i saw something about needing a special zip file in a thread but i just want to be sure i may be confusing it with the proximity zip or something
Thanks for answers
There's no such thing as a proximity zip. I think what you're referring to is the firmware zip. When going from KitKat to Lollipop you need to flash the Lollipop firmware and the Lollipop modem. When going back from Lollipop to KitKat you need to flash the KitKat firmware and the KitKat modem.
KitKat firmware:

Strange, I have never had to flash the modem separately.
What exactly does it do?
I'm now running Lollipop YNG1TAS17L. I updated from KitKat to Lollipop via an OTA link using TWRP recovery. Should I still flash this Lollipop modem?

No
The OTA did it for you automatically
Please do not flash any modem on it unless you are facing issues with your radio(network connectivity)

I just tried what u suggested, but it didn't work. I am on CM12s and I want to try PA 4.6 Beta 6. So I downloaded kitkat firmware and two modems too ( the two kitakat modems with 'Full' prefix. I went to recovery, flashed the firmware, then tried to flash the PA ROM. It showed an error, like "can't go back to old version Nov from new version May". It also showed error in update binary script. Then I flashed the modem and firmware, and tried to flash PA again, but it didn't work. Please, help me. I wanna go to PA kitkat.

What error did you get when flashing the ROM?
@Heisenberg
See the pic attached. It goes like:
"Can't install this package (Mon Nov 3 .....) over newer build (Mon May 25 .....)
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/MODs/Downloads/pa_bacon-4.6-BETA6-20141103.zip'
Error flashing zip .........
Edit: I just flashed cm11 firmware before flashing pa zip. I can see that in the image. And sorry for the poor pic quality. Taken from my dad'a Desire 310

Alright, first things first. I can see you're asking the same question in the PA thread, please don't double-post, only discuss an issue in one place at a time.
Is that a themed version of TWRP you're running? And did you wipe properly before flashing? The error you're getting suggests to me that you're not wiping properly.
I did a full wipe: wiped system, dalvik, data, and cache. And sorry for double-posting. Was li'l impatient.
---------- Post added at 03:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:23 PM ----------
And yes, it is themed version of twrp, 2.8.6.1

I'm unsure why it isn't working for you then unfortunately. I can only guess that the wipe isn't working properly because the installer is still able to detect the previous ROM. It might be worth flashing the stock TWRP instead of the themed version as that might be causing the problem.
Okay. Will try the same procedure with stock trwp.
Edit: @Heisenberg[/MENTION] The same error with stock twrp. Have a look.

I can't see the text in that image. I'm not sure mate, does the same problem happen with other ROMs?
Woohoo! I finally did it. @Heisenberg PA 4.6 Beta 6 flashed successfully. What I did was just RESEARCH. As you said that the error has got something to do with TWRP, I searched for CWM. I then went into Philz Recovery thread. Just scrolled down for download links. Read this somewhere, "To flash older files, use recovery version 6.02.2- . Then I got the link to download CMW touch recovery version 6.0.5.0. And then the magic began. Wiped everything, installed cm11 firmware, and then installed PA. And now I am running PA. Anyways, thanks for giving the hint about TWRP.

Thanks. I just want this information to be available to all those who want to downgrade. Could you just update the OP.

I'm reverting back to KK.
I've installed the firmware you provided, and the Full-YNG1TAS0YL-modem-flashable.zip modem. Then I've installed slimsaber (4.4.4) and Zane's boeffla kernel from here http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/zanezam/linaro/bacon/cm11.0/stable/
The proximity sensor is broken, any fix my friend?

Probably because you flashed a Lollipop modem on a kitkat rom?

[Q] Move from LolliGPE to stock 5.0.1(rooted)?

I'd like to move from LolliGPE to the new stock verizon 5.0.1 rom and firmware. Is there anything I need to watch out for or any particular order? I'm currently still on the 4.4.4 firmware. Thanks
You should probably flash the firmware and radios before you flash any Lollipop Sense ROM

No radio or service what so ever....

Hello everyone. So here's my problem, i was flashing the android marshmallow rom that was just ported over to our lovely phone. I got it to work, it booted, ran smooth the only problem was i had no service at all. i still have my baseloader and imei but my service state says radio off. i did do a backup of my efs before i flashed marshmallow but it didnt work. i just reflashed it to Oxygen os and it still says radio off. ive tired flashing modems but i dont exactly know which one to flash. ive tried flashing other roms but to no avail. i really need my phone so any help would be greatly appreciated
Did you try moving to older versions of the OS.
Try doing following
1. Install any Android 5.1.1 firmware. This should restore the Radio
2. Install any suitable radio/modem explicitly
Let us know if it helps. Best of luck dude

I have to fresh install the ROM on my OPO because I got it bricked so I followed this guide now my radio still doesn't work and the phone is constantly rebooting. The issues came out just like @agentxur did
Considering that you still have your baseband and IMEI (You're Lucky ), you can just flash 44S Modem via Fastboot or full CM12.1 Firmware. I will leave out a link for 44S Modem down.
44S Modem: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001607675
PS: Flash it through FASTBOOT only!!! Else won't work
I hope the method pointed out by Sanjiv Kumar helped you. Whatever your feedback let the members know.

I just recently installed Linux on my laptop so I don't have fastboot right now but I actually read somewhere that twrp 2.8.7.0 (which I was using with multirom) won't flash modems or radios correctly so I reflashed 2.8.6.0 with rasher app and it worked. Thanks tho

Anyone else lost LTE completely on 6045O after flashing custom rom?

So I tried out a few of the popular roms for this phone on my 6045O and lost LTE with the CM 13 one and tried going back to stock and LTE didn't come back. Does anyone have a Lollipop Radio Modem backup from stock Lollipop?
You need to either install android 5.1 firmware and backup your modem partition, or download the 5.x modem zip from famewolf for your version and flash it after flashing an mm ROM.
Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
Edit you can always use Panasonic switch to restore to lollipop firmware, so do what you want and if you don't like the result, use Panasonic to return fully to lollipop stock including the band 12 modem.
You will basically never want to return to stock mm, since band 12 is off and you won't be able to install twrp to change the modem.
