Hello there,
I finally got ClockworkMod Recovery for my friend’s ZTE Grand S. And sharing is a good spirit
NOTE: I’m NOT responsible for any damage that may happen to your phone when you apply this
(Much as it worked for me)
And your warranty will be lost after this
To install custom recovery (CWM in this case), your phone has to be rooted! To root your Grand S, download and install Framaroot , open and hit Gandalf and reboot.
To Install Recovery:
Download ClockworkMod Recovery for ZTE Grand S
Download and install Recovery Tools
Open it and go to Recovery-Script Manager and backup Recovery
Go to Flasher and choose Recovery from Storage
Select the downloaded CMW recovery for Grand S
Select Yes to confirm action
You will have the new recovery
Booting on recovery is impossible without PC on my Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2.
[CyanogenMod version]
12.1-20160306-UNOFFICIAL-kyleprods
[BEFORE]
My phone was bricked last week when I tried to reboot to recovery. Luckily, I unbricked it through Odin3.
[FLASHING WITH PC]
Flashing the TWRP recovery through Odin3 forces it to go to recovery.
[WITHOUT PC/MANUAL]
It gets stuck on Samsung Logo with a small red exclamation mark on the upper left portion of the screen.
[DOWNLOAD MODE]
I can boot there and it can be recognized by Odin3.
Please help. I just want to reboot to recovery without PC.

As with all Marshmallow ROMs or firmware, rooting is basically via a custom recovery as explained in Chainfire's 'systemless' root.
A good number of InFocus M680 users have been looking to find root solutions for their recent Marshmallow update. I've noticed this in many Android forums.
Follow the guide below to your Marshmallow firmware with ease.
Download and flash TWRP 3.0.2 on your device from Mod edit ppc links removed
Download SuperSu zip package
Power off your phone completely and wait a few seconds
Boot into recovery mode by holding power button + volume up
From TWRP screen, select Install and choose the SuperSu zip file you copied to the root of your sdcard
Swipe to flash the SuperSU package and wait for it finish flashing
Once complete, reboot your phone to system
Done
Unable to boot into recovery mode
