Booting on recovery is impossible without PC on my Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2.
[CyanogenMod version]
12.1-20160306-UNOFFICIAL-kyleprods
[BEFORE]
My phone was bricked last week when I tried to reboot to recovery. Luckily, I unbricked it through Odin3.
[FLASHING WITH PC]
Flashing the TWRP recovery through Odin3 forces it to go to recovery.
[WITHOUT PC/MANUAL]
It gets stuck on Samsung Logo with a small red exclamation mark on the upper left portion of the screen.
[DOWNLOAD MODE]
I can boot there and it can be recognized by Odin3.
Please help. I just want to reboot to recovery without PC.

Step 1: Install the Rom Manager app on your android device.
Step 2: Open the app and it will show you “Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery” tap on it and proceed further.
Step 3: Wait for several minutes as the latest version of ClockWorkMod Recovery is been installed.
Step 4: As everything gets completed and the device reboots into android. Open the Rom Manager app again and verify that you have successfully flashed the custom recovery. The app should show you that you have installed ClockWorkMod recovery....
2nd method

I installed Kitkat build 4 custom ROM by Vaibhav on my GT-I8262 following the procedures he describes in his blog (using Odin3, CWM, installing device drivers).
the smart phone rebooted correctly in normal mode. I tried to open SuperSU (preinstalled by the ROM) and it closed because it couldn't find the binary. Then I installed Farmaroot and tried too root the device. By ending the rooting it said that binary should be installed and the recommended method is using CWM/TWRP. By selecting the CWM/TWRP option device rebooted to the CWM recovery mode.
* I don't know how to install the binary in this mode.
* The device is stuck in CWM recovery mode.
* PC (Odin) does not recognize the device.
* selecting "reboot to bootloader" boots the device in download mode.
help me please.
great job
My phone is now bricked after installing CWM and SuperSu app.
I have the stock Android 4.1.2 installed.
I used Odin to install CWM v6.0.3.2
At first it worked OK and I could root the device and boot into android.
Next I installed SuperSu app, which asked me to update the binary and offered to do as [Normal] or [CWM]. I chose the CWM option and it rebooted into CWM Recovery mode but there was no option to install the supersu binary. Now, I cannot escape the CWM recovery screen, everytime I reboot it just opens CWM.
Odin no longer recognises the device. Windows device manager finds the device but it is in unknown devices section (yes I have smasung drivers installed).
If I boot the device to Download mode, after about 3 seconds it reboots into CWM Recovery mode.
How do I unbrick this?
OK so suddenly the Download mode starts working again, so Odin finds the device and I installed a newer version of CWM. It now boots up OK into Android, for now...
Hi , I want to install custom rom of cyanogen-12.1 on my samsung galaxy grand I9082(current ver 4.2.2). So i downloaded all the necessary zip files required for the process. Then I successfully installed "CWM touch recovery" zip using odin software. After that i installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25 zip file using cwm touch interface and rebooted my device. After reebooting i checked that SuperSU app was there in my phone and i verified this with Root Checker also(it showing-Congrats! root access is properly installed on this device! ).
Now i want to install custom rom of cyanogen and gapps zip files. When i am pressing (power+vol up+home) button it showing "No Command" and in the background there is Android robot laying down with the red triangle and the exclamation mark "Error!" message and after some time samsung's recovery mode options are coming with heading on top "Android system recovery <3e>".
what are my options-
1. Do i need to remove/uninstall current SuperSU and cwm?
2. someone suggested that i need to install Fix-recovery zip file also. For this do i need to follow process again for cwm and fix-recovery both using odin or fix-recovery only.
I dont know what to do please suggest really stuck!!

and also with a red exclamation mark on top............
all i can do is to go to DOWNLOAD MODE...
plz help me guyzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Go in download mode and then flash your recovery if that doesn't work for you then try this :
Download platform tools from Android developers page and copy you recovery in the same folder as adb->platform tools open a terminal there by shift+right click and in your phone to into download mode and type "adb devices" and hit enter if it shows a vu6t579chv something like that and next to it fastboot then type "fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery. file_type" and hit enter. Reboot into for you phone or stock recovery. Look that part up.
