Is my HTC sensation 4G bricked? - HTC Sensation

My HTC Sensation 4G was stuck in a bootloop but I could still access the bootloader (power+volume down), I took it 2 years ago to an HTC store but they gave it to me back worse than before, it was not turning on at all. I tried this week to follow this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1522351 (using the latest stable Ubuntu) for unbricking it but my device isn't detected using the ./brickdetect.sh command (I tried reading the notes concerning plugging it in a 2.0 usb port, with/without battery but nothing changed). However, when I plug it to my Windows, I see in the drivers qhsusb_dload
What can I do?? Please help.

The unbricking is, as stated in the unbricking thread, only for bricked phones which were bricked by turning back to S-ON.
If it doesn't boot at all and you'll get it recognized only as qhsusb_dload it's hard bricked and most likely you won't be able to recover it.
May I ask why you didn't bring the phone to the store again when you got it back?

[Q] Bricked HTC inspire 4g unable to unbrick

I need help! I rooted my new htc inspire and was downloading some of the 3rd party apps I use from market. One of the programs which was a font changer bricked my phone. I have reviewed every possible way to unbrick it and nothing works. When I go into bootloader the only options I have are hboot, which turns to hboot usb plug when plugged to the computer, fast boot, recovery, factory reset, simlock and image crc. Hboot does nothing I installed the hboot drivers and still nothing. I did recovery and it stalls on the HTC bootup screen then slowly blacks out, factory reset it just boots to the htc boot screen and sticks there. I have pulled the battery out more then 50 times, that doesnt work. Htc sync does not recognize that the phone is connected to the computer and the revoke hboot usb installer sees that the android is hooked up to the computer but doesnt do anything except tell me the drivers are installed. I used Bubby's one click root to root my phone. Can anyone help? This is the second phone I bricked and considering I just bought this I really dont have the money to buy another phone. Any help would be awesome!!!!
Have you tried an ODIN yet? Find the stock image for your phone (should be a tar), use odin, and flash it. Make sure you have the correct USB drivers for your phone installed.
In fact, look at this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11419005&postcount=2
Ive wanted to try it but was a little weary about doing it cause I though ODIN was for capitvate phones and because the ruu is from cingular and im on AT&T. Also wonder how to do it when I can not set my phone to debug or disk drive.
remove battery and keep it outside for 12 hr. then put it back and restart...
Done that already last night after it bricked. It still does the same thing. Im downloading the ruu the sync doesnt acknowledge my phone at all and the drivers on my phone are right and up to date. Except how do I put the ruu on my phone if my phone does not bootup and if I go into the bootloader screen it takes me right to the htc boot screen and doesnt go farther. Im following all the steps that have been posted in other threads but it doesnt help when I already tried majority of these things. I dont know if there is any other option to unbrick my phone if this does not work!
Ok the RUU says it can not read my phone. I get an error saying USB connection error and says to check if the phone is connected to the usb cable and the cable is connected to the pc. All of which it is. So what do I do next as the ruu cant even read my phone?

[Q] Sensation (Pyramid) Bricked after Revolutionary (its not batt. drain)

i was trying to s-off the sensation with Revolutionary and it normally give error 2 or 3 times
Waiting for fastboot
waiting for the fastboot again
at this point for unknown reasons revolutionary crashed and my phone stucked to QUALCOM BOOTLOADER mode now i can not boot the phone even in bootloader mode(just a blank screen with backlight ON) but computer can recognise it as QCOM QD LOADER and asking for drivers (similar to HD2 brick problem when we flash the non-tmob with t-mob rom)
please see the picture attached and suggest something
do you have drivers installed , i suggest you re- install theme and see..
i can not boot the phone bro not even Bootloader mode
Download the official rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559
And try to flash the stock rom....
How to flash ROM? when its not detected as ANDROID OR HTC on PC?
You do have modified drivers installed right?
No Not at all i have 2 systems in both it been detected as QCOM QD i think i need to fix it via JTAG
What does adb devices say?

Then you need to download modded drivers and run ruu.
Bro
what will it say if the handset is not detected as ANDROID service?Of course its not connecting
when i insert cable and battery to the phone it just lit its backlight (screen remains blank) no matter what button combination i try (VOL DOWN+POWER) or Simply i press power button screen remain blank it just backlights and detected as QUALCOM BL MODE on PC
Have you pulled the battery?
Modded drivers? Just use the drivers from revolutionary website and you'll be fine.

No modded drivers atall i am using this
(http://goo-inside.me/tools/HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe) .
Actually when phone goes to proper bootmode than only it will ask for proper drivers but here the question is it is in some special mode how to get it out or bypass this
i wonder how many of you seen same problem in HD2 when wrongly flashed its detected as QUALCOM CDMA TECHNOLOGIES bla bla remember?
Send it back to htc. You probably didn't successfully s=off. So just tell them one day it died and would never turn back on. Even if they can tell you did something to it, they'll just send it back to you. Youre no worse off.

It's detecting the phones processor oO.. Quite strange..

Have you asked the Revolutionary guys for their advice? I'd of said they are your best chance.

Your bootloader seems to be corrupted! Why you pull the battery? Revolutionary give back errors many times and it works with ot without this messages!
Its your own error ask htc to Pay for repair! Not tell it wont turn on and you dont do anything this is not fair!
You pulled the Battery in bootloader flashing process... just stupid!
Its not detecting the Phones processor its detecting the Chipset debug mode!
We could fix your phone in this mode but we dont have a command list!

Can't reach the hboot :/
The phone is not turning on when pressing the power button
and when I plug it in the charge, the charging LED also is not turning on
Is the notification LED blinking? Try charging the battery with a universal charger.

buddy, I'd got this problem as well once, it won't work. If the LED is not blinking, according to ganeshp, it means a DEFINITE HARD BRICK.
so, I think THE ONLY way to solve it, is to use J-Tag (Or replace the mainboard, a little screwing off).
hope it gets alright.

[Help!] Sensation XE JTAG

Hello,
I have a RIFF Box and an Adapter for sensation XE.
I tried to resurrect and rewrite all. I've tried once to do with s-off and once without. The flashing itself went straight, no log errors in riff.
However, the phone is still bricked upon assembling it. When I connect the phone to the PC via usb, it is still appearing as qhsusb_dload under device manager. (with riff driver it's named Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM16))
I've also tried this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775115 and everything went straight. The problem is, after I assembled the phone, it is not being charged or responding to entering hboot.
please help.

Flashed wrong bootstack/modem, Pls HELP unbrick m8

Hi there,
I accidentally flashed (inside twrp) my HTC m8 with a bootstack/modem of a different phone (39a,LG G2). I'm pretty embarrassed about it, didn't mean to do it...I thought I was following instructions to install a new rom for the m8,except I was in the wrong forum..
details: in TWRP I flashed the wrong file, then went on to install a new rom and an error appeared: this is not vs980, this device is m8wl...so I thought, what? strange....
I turned off the phone (without realizing yet what happened. Sorry, stressful couple of weeks) and when I tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't. No matter how long I held the power button, or power and vol down. It will not go in download mode, neither detect it is plugged in to charger or a computer. Basically totally off without any response.
My question: is there any way possible to resuscitate this phone? please help me! any advice is appreciated.
before I had the m8 with s-off,rooted,with a 5.1 rom installed.
Thank you in advance!!!

thanks for the help so far guys!
Here's another funny thing. After a few attempts of plugging it in to a computer, it was recognized and it showed up in the device manager. The phones still did not turn on though. Additionally it seems that the phone is seen as an LG model (even though it's not), but I am not sure yet. I will get the HTC drivers installed, and if it doesn't work, I will try the LG drivers.
by the way, isn't there a way to flash the correct modem/bootstack with ones of those kits? i also remember from downloading the wrong LG G2 modem/bootstack that it didn't come with fastboot in it.
I will try a few things and report it back.
thanks again,

I got it to be recognized on a computer again, and windows installs a driver. The name of the device is forge hs-usb qdloader 9008.
I tried the all in one 2.0 kit, adb sideload, etc but anything I try I get a "device not found".
I think I am giving up unless someone finds a way to unbrick this kind of severe problem in the future. I also researched a bit on google, and there's a way to unbrick the LG G2 when it's seen as forge hs-usb qdloader 9008, which is known as a board unbrick. I found nothing for the HTC m8 though.
We tried all we could Thanks all for the help, it's very much appreciated! You guys are the best and this forum is awesome. I also ordered a new phone...and I will root it too

Might be completely wrong on this.
Wouldn't he be able to JTAG the appropriate boot image back onto the device?
Also, I know we had a hard brick recovery for the S3 back in the day. Worked consistently on full hard brick's.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166
Isn't it possible to dump a debrick image from a working device and follow the guide with that? I know the two devices are completely different, but the premise is the same.
My technical know-how isn't anywhere near your level, just thought I'd throw these ideas out there is case it hasn't been thought of yet. I'd be happy to put together a guide on how to do this if it can work on the M8.
