Hi. I just got the Note Edge yesterday and realized that there is no AT&T Visual Voicemail. I tried the Play Store and AT&T, and both say that the app is not compatible. Is there another visual voicemail app that people are using?
There's a "Visual VoiceMail" app built in. I have the ATT model also.
Thanks.

So I have tried with google voice and also t mobile visual voicemail. Neither work correctly. Tmobile doesn't even set up and while google voice sets up when a voicemail arrives I receive both the google voice and the regular phone voicemail. Any suggestions ?

If you're using one of the T-Mobile prepaid plans, I've seen in other forums where having T-Mobile turn off your T-Mobile voicemail fixes things. Check this out: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/voice/gbReID1_dIo and see if that's what you're experiencing, maybe their fix will work. Just an idea.
I'm not on prepaid so I decide to delete the app and reinstall seems to have gone well now I have to leave a vM to see if the issues persist
I don't know about the Google Voice, but someone else on here posted a solution for getting TMo Visual Voicemail to work.

I initially couldn't get mine to run, but after I followed the instructions by B0xer, I was able to get Visual Voicemail started. In the end, he writes that you should install visual voicemail again, but I didn't need to. I just sent the sms, and then started the Visual Voicemail app, and all was fixed.
I used to use Virgin Mobile with a Galaxy S5. It came with a handy visual voicemail app. Figured that since Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint network that Sprint would offer something similar.
Can't find any such app. Looked in the Sprint pre-installed folder and just alphabetically for either Sprint, visual or voicemail. Nothing.
Is my S8+ unique or did it get lost or overridden when using the Google set up a new device based on another device operation? I did notice a few old or inappropriate apps getting installed because they were on my other device.
Sprint does have a visual voicemail app that should come installed with your phone. On my Galaxy S8, it's a bright yellow icon that says Voicemail.

Here you go latest version
I used Bk uninstall to disable all the Sprint bloat and Installed Youmail. There is no other app for visual voicemail like it. You can set up individual Answer Messages fot each contact, you block callers, my favorite feature is to have the system tell unwanted callers that my number is disconnected, Or have Spockd Voice tske a message. And best of all is free. I even have it at my home line and the Messages left there go to my email.
My unlocked S8 came with no vvm app. Installing the apk linked above doesn't work (thanks for posting, though), as it appears that it does not integrate with the system. I also have the persistent VM icon after reboot.

I have the same issue with my unlocked S8, did you ever find a work around? I tried youmail but didnt like that it wasn't generic and used my contact names during the message.
Me and my husband just got unlocked Note 8's. We actually had YouMail before and it wouldn't work for either one of us and I chatted with the YouMail support person and they gave me different numbers to try and mind started working. But my husband still won't work and says something about ocn carrier error and he even tried the same numbers that work for me and they won't work for him on his phone it's weird.
We have Sprint and I have something in my notifications that will not go away that says 4 new voicemails dial *86 his doesn't have that. I just leave it cause I don't want to reset my phone but I'm thinking something backed up from my 7 Edge to make that appear in my notifications and won't go away. But I don't know why the numbers you mail gave me worked on my phone and not his.
What's another good free VM app? Thanks!
Just switched over from ATT to Tmobile, i can't seem to get the visual voicemail built-in the phone working like it was on ATT. I know Tmobile has a visual voicemail app but I don't want another app when the built in function works at least on ATT. Has anyone been able to use the built-in samsung dialer visual voicemail working with Tmobile?
Thanks
Does anyone know if visual voicemail is supposed to work with Verizon on the unlocked model? I thought it was supposed to but it isn't and Verizon won't help. The built-in voicemail app says I have no voicemails when I do.
Yes it works fine. Clear app cache and make sure the VM password is correct. Using VZW on both physical and e-sim and it works here.

Since VVM never finished, clear the app data for VVM and try again.
By Google Dialer, do you mean, Phone by Google, or Google Voice? The former should work VVM, the latter won't work with VVM

Then it should work. Here's the weird part, I don't have the VVM app either. I have the Verizon S22 Ultra. Nor can I find it in the Play Store. I just have the Samsung stock voice mail app installed
Question: Are you subscribed to Premium Visual Voicemail? I am not (I don't think it's worth $2.99/month). Evidently, Verizon Visual Voicemail uses the stock voicemail app that is on the phone.
With that being said. I think you have to have it (the free add-on) activated for each line. I have three lines with Verizon and I noticed that on my daughter's line, Visual Voicemail was not activated. The other two it were activated.
Tried that already, no dice. Guess I'll have to call Verizon.

I tried clearing cache and storage, didn't do anything. The app never even prompts me for a VM password. I have the paid VM service from Verizon so I know I get vvm

At this point you should talk to Verizon. If could be a provisioning problem.

Yes, they can see what is going on with your account on the backend.
P.S. I checked my daughter's S22 and her VVM is working. She has the unlocked US model on Verizon.
Yes I would call VZW support preferably from a different number to get to the bottom of it.
I just picked up this device for tmobile. i havent rooted or unlocked bootloader (may decidee not to). I have t-mobile visual voicemail (free version). but it is pretty laggy. On my last phone (moto g) the voicemail was right in the google phone app. in the phone app, at the bottom, there was tabs for 'favorites' 'recents' 'contacts' and 'voicemail'. This was much smoother.
Is there a way to get this on the 8t? I tried the way of going into Phone settins and activating voicemail there, but its not an option.
I know I could just long press #1 on dialpad, but thats pretty annoying. I do like having an app that shows a list of all my voicemails. but this tmobile version kinda sucks.
I came from a 6T with visual voicemail in the stock phone app. For some reason, on the 8T, the phone app only gives me the option of visual voicemail on SIM #2, not my TMO SIM. As a band aid, I'm suing the TMO Digits app to get visual voicemail for SIM #1.
