Did the OTA update for 5.0 lollipop yesterday. all the issues with the factory image flash have dissapeard. It all work great now, except one thing:
When my phone gets warm, the performance really goes down, except for some games. Animations get choppy etc. Remember , I said warm, not hot, and it occurred to me from just browsing facebook or chatting.
Any one ran into this problem aswell?
no one with the same problem? my friend seems to share the exact same issue
Kindda had the same issue after adb sideloading the OTA update to my N5. It was easily getting warm which caused constant lagging. Therefore it was closing my music player app while i was listening to music and surfing the web or FB, couldn't handle several apps at the same time and Google search app kept crashing from time to time. So i just went to the recovery mode and wiped cash. It took about 10 - 15 minutes, but when i turned the phone again everything worked fine. No lagging, no crashing. Everything is flying now, it's fast and smooth as never before. I don't now if it helps you, but i think you should give it a shot.
Define "warm".

Anyone else get a loud static sometimes when they open an app or video? I randomly will get static instead of the audio of an app or video sometimes, it can simply be fixed with a reboot. But was wondering if this was a common problem and if anyone has a fix for it?
I have seen this in YouTube.
I also get audio quitting, almost always after I've run Angry Birds at some point. As you mentioned, a reboot seems to fix it.
(VEGAn 5.1)
Idk if its my speakers becous I have opened my Tablet a few times, But I also somtimes get Broken sound or crackling randomly. But it Randomly goes away too. Also using Vegan 5.1, Waiting for a More stable Cyanogen 7.
I am still running the stock TNT, and mine has been doing it since I got it. I did buy it used on eBay, but seemed as though who ever had it before used it once maybe.
I experience all three of these issues from time to time:
sound totally dropping out sometimes, happens while I am using the tablet.
A loud constant SHHHHHHHHH sometimes, happens when I wake up the table from sleep --especially if my son put the tablet to sleep without closing Angry Birds.
Random crackling sounds sometimes, happens a few minutes after I have used the tablet, single-pressed the power button to turn off the screen, and set it down.
And I'm running TNTLite 4.1 on a totally clean, cleared, wiped, and partitioned install. So maybe it is a hardware problem?
I've asked this question before--either nobody knows or it's just a really stupid questions (possible as I don't know a lot about Android)--but if this was happening on my PC, I would update the driver...is there such a thing as a driver update?
In Short Not Really.
I am having similar problems and have a question open at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916971.
Can you post a logcat when you experience the static problem?
I am relieved to find I'm not the only one with this problem, but I wonder if I should return and exchange it while I can.
I also have noticed that this happens after not using a task manager to kill everything after playing Angry Birds, but it did just occur minutes ago on an email notification. Angry Birds had not been opened during this boot.
Ok so my Infuse was running OK. Then I downloaded a file manager app that can send/receive over wifi. I played around with it but then discovered that my phone got laggy as hell. The home screen was laggy and stuttery as i swiped through pages, and the live wallpaper that used to be smooth as glass turned into a choppy slide show.
I promptly nixed that app I downloaded. I then killed all running apps, force closed things I knew I didn't need, closed of services I didn't need, made sure all wifi and BT was off, and flushed RAM. I then rebooted. It got a little better but it is still laggy compared to what it was. I don't know what that crApp did to my phone! It is ruined! I really don't want to do a factory reset and lose all of my settings/apps and have to re-install, what a pain.
Is there something else to try? Maybe freeze apps (although not sure which ones I can freeze).
I am not sure how most people can use their devices if simply trying an app can slow it down so much. There has to be a way to fix.
I am on a stock ROM and rooted.
Forenote, my N5 was running PSX v2 and Franco Kernel r13 flawlessly for weeks when this ramdomly happened.
Used my phone today just as I have for weeks on end with little to no issue until around 8 or 9 hours into my day the phone started to lag very badly. Redraws, stutter, unresponsiveness, you name it. I was surprised as this phone usually flies! So I cleared my recent apps and that seemed to help slightly, but it still was very slow. I used cache cleaner's built in ram cleaner to stop all running processes (which I never do) and it seemed like the issue was fixed. The system UI and launcher redrew and I was good to go.
Until I started to play some music in Play Music, a pop up constantly popped up that YouTube has stopped working. I didn't even use YouTube today! I tried to then open the YouTube app and it wouldn't open whatsoever. No animation no execution, just a dialog box reading, "Unfortunately, YouTube has stopped working." I went into app settings and cleared cache/data/and force stopped and the app still was misbehaving. I reinstalled the app via the play store and it still wouldn't open. The dialog box wouldn't stop popping up this whole time mind you.
I was thinking what the hell is wrong with my phone today!? Maybe a reboot would fix things. I tried rebooting and my phone got stuck at boot animation. I force shut off and rebooted into recovery, formatted cache and dalvik cache and rebooted. This time the boot animation actually froze.. I was like what the f***! I let it sit for a few minutes to see if anything would happen without any luck.
I force shut off again and now the phone won't even turn on. Not into bootloader, not normally, the thing won't even charge! So here I am with a dead phone and a $450 paperweight. I'm just so lost I have no idea what could've caused this really unusual sequence of events.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
A bad phone. Rma it
Was the phone hot when the weird things happened?

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary temperature wise.. Although my phone has overheated and shut off before that was maybe 2-3 weeks ago..

The Path app is practically useless for me on the A9. Loading it the first time takes almost one minute, and then it updates the latest 'moments' for another minute until the page finally done loading (if I'm lucky). Sometimes it never completely loads and just stays there on what seems like forever in the loading/spinning wheel mode. If the home page loads, scrolling down is super slow, loading each image takes a very long time.
I have tried clearing app cache/data and even uninstalling/reinstalling the app, and always the same result. Totally scratching my head here since the app runs smoothly on my M7 and even my almost 3-year old Samsung tablet. I thought maybe it's a Marshmallow compatibility problem but a friend with Marshmallow on a Nexus said he doesn't experience any problem.
I thought I'd post an update:
As I said in the OP, I found that the Path app was unusable. In the following days I also discovered one other app that acted almost exactly the same, Facebook Messenger. Just like Path, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling and clearing cache/data and obviously rebooted, but nothing worked. Luckily I don't regularly use any of these two apps so I simply uninstalled them without much thought and moved on.
Last night I received the 6.0.1 update, and right afterwards I thought I'd install the two apps again and check if there's any change, and what do you know, they're both fixed! No more slowness, lags, or any crash whatsoever. These apps are now functioning normally and as snappy as they should be.
So my monologue continues...
The slowness with Path comes back. It is not as completely useless as it was prior to 6.0.1, but it is still crazy slow to the point of ridiculousness. The slowness in Facebook Messenger app, as I mentioned above, did not come back, and the Messenger app is now normally snappy and completely usable, as it should.
Is there really nobody here using Path and can confirm the experience? This is the only app this phone is having trouble with, and the app does not show similar problem on any other phones, even much older phones. I have submitted this problem to Path, although I'm not sure if they will ever respond.
Is there a fix for the constant refresh this phone does every few minutes? Like if I'm watching twitch, every couple minutes it will just refresh. Same with YouTube. It'll do a page refresh and then I have to remaximize the video. It also does it on Snapchat, if I'm typing my keyboard will go down etc. Happened while typing this. It happens whether on beta, or stock, I've even experienced it pixel experience ROM, and havoc. This morning I formated the phone, and then used msm tool to put 5.1.5 on it and installed the system update. I haven't reunlocked the bootloader or anything. It is such ban annoying issue. Are there custom kernels to fix this issue?
(UPDATE) got it working right.
