I was earlier on cm11s and everything worked fine. Then I manually flashed the cyanogen os 12 ota using stock recovery. Since then the proximity sensor becomes active during incoming calls even if I dont answer the call. During incoming call if the sensor gets covered, the screen goes off. After that I flashed the latest ota with 'OK Oneplus' and the problem was still there. So today I flashed Euphoria Rom (5.1) thinking that this may solve it but the problem still persists. Can anyone tell me the solution to this?
Thanks!

This is only normal!
The goal of this is to not interfere with the screen while the phone is against your face.

But usually the proximity sensor becomes active after accepting the incoming call. But in this case it happens ever if I don't accept it.
This never happened in cm11s

there is a flashback zip file but i don't know where, you can search it up in the forum using the search tool or to disable the sensor from the settings (personally i disabled it)
Does anyone have a fix for this issue. Its extremely annoying that I have to wait for sensor to check if its clear before answering a call. Usually a 2 second delay on incoming call.
hy guys
>so when i take/get a phone call my display stays black when i remove it from my ear for at least 5 seconds even pressing the power button doesnt wake it up
im on stock 6.0 but i also got that problem on cm12,1
just wanna know if someone of you got the same problem :silly:
I read in various other topics that this seems to be a 6.0 bug that google has to fix in a future update.
I have been experiencing this also. Hopefully Google fixes it soon (by soon I mean soon, not Google soon).
I also have this problem, but for long calls. Haven't noticed it before 6.0
Hi all,
Just got this Mi Note 10 today and while setting up the phone I started to get those weird screen touches..
Happened so often that I enabled 'Show Taps' via developer options and recorded it here:

Any thoughts welcome!
thanks

Okay, this is weird. Which version is it? And did you have already tried to reset your device? If it's still there it's probably a hardware defect.

Well, I had the same MIUI version and region. I bet it's not a software problem. Just send it back

Right, so no fix really... disappointing as the cameras are impressive
My device came shipped with Android Pie Based Miui 11, no screen weirdness. Just after the Android 10 updates that ghost touches appear. So I guess it's just software bug.
me too, sure software problem.
Thanks for the feedback, if software-related were you able to roll back to fix this?
Happy to try a workaround as I'm very reluctant to send it back..
worth a try though, but unfortunately Xiaomi didn't provide stock ROM specifically for my region so I left with no choice
Completely puzzled as I did a Factory Reset via Recovery and haven't seen the issue for past 2 days, I've left the screen touch tracing on and no 'ghost touch' was recorded..
so I don't know what to believe anymore, got an open return ticket but would hate to send it back without needing to..
how can I make sure issue is gone?
Hi, i had this problem 3 weeks ago, temporary solved with hard reset, worked perfectly until yesterday night when this problem went back.
Hard reset again, problem still there.
Someone solved it permanently?
It is really weird because, if i turn off/on the display, sometime works sometime not :S
The phone came with Android 9 and I started to face this after updating to Android 10. The issue is not extreme as shown in the video, it just the touch becomes slow to respond and hard to type fast with the keyboard. Turning off the screen and turning back on solves it temporarily sometimes.
I tried disabling on screen fingerprint and the problem seems to be reduced now. Definitely a software bug
I'm using Mi note 10 lite it also has same problem. Sometime touch freezing and after press power button automatically fix. Some time need to restart. And also one person told me he is fixed by this issue by turned off fingerprint sensor.

I have the exact same problem as you, slow to respond and hard to type. Need to apply more force on the screen for it to respond. This happened randomly throughout the day but are more common during night time for me.
I think it has something to do with the screen lock pin or fingerprint, by changing the screen lock from ie pin to pattern or turning off fingerprint print seems to temporary fix the issue. Another solution is to reboot the phone. I'm using Note 10 Lite btw.

I am using the Pro version. Looks like this issue is common for all the phone models in the Note 10 series. Yes, I have noticed that this issue often happens at night.
Try switching off MIUI optimization under Developer Options and restart your device. Then switch it On and restart again. This workaround solved my issue.

This fixed the issue for a few days and it started to reappear again. When the issue appears, if I turn on Game Turbo for any app (eg: WhatsApp) that particular app doesn't have this touch issue. Looks like a software optimization or battery optimization of MIUI is causing this issue

What firmware version are u in?
I'm currently at 11.0.16.0 and fortunately this issue did not yet reappeared after the workaround.
This is definitely a software ISSUE with MIUI.

MIUI 11.1.3.0 Global Stable
Will try out the MIUI optimization to see whether issue still arise. I'll see if my game turbo have the same issue as you too.
I'm currently at 11.0.7.0 (Mi Note 10 Lite)
Edit: Mi optimisation doesn't work for me but the Game Turbo trick do work.
Hello everyone,
after (I think) last rom update on my AC2003 12/256GB (now I'm to Oxygen OS 11.1.4.4.AC01BA) I noticed that often the smartphone goes automatically in vibration mode, EVEN in the slide switch is kept in ringtone mode (first lowe position).. so several time, when it happes before to answering a call, I cannot hear any sound due to this behaviour..
Anyone had some experience in this issue? And there's a way to fix without coming back to an old rom version as well?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
It was a buggy version of Truecaller app causing the issue, after an update, now all is working properly again.
Hello, I have some issue related to sound when battery become 20% or lower the ringtone sound of incoming call flapping and when answer the call the speaker enabled from itself and after a while this start to happen in a percentage above 20% till 35%, is this a software or hardware issue and if I flashed a custom ROM will solve this issue?

the issue was started on after i purchased the phone on MIUI 12.5 and after update to MIUI 13 the issue still exist and increased.
the flap of sound for the incoming call was started when battery 20% or lower and now start when the battery 40 %
there energy saver but i didn't activate it.
i am always check for update and phone is up to date,
is this a software or hardware issue?
if i move to custom ROM will solve this problem?
Hello
I will advise you if your phone is guaranteed to return it
if you are out of warranty you can test a custom rom to see if your problem is solved
ps: have you tried resetting your phone?
the determination of a software or hardware problem it is necessary to carry out tests to know it

Hello friend, I'm from the Caucasus, I looked on the forum and found you with the same phone problem as mine. I wanted to know if you found a solution to the problem?
