The toolkit does support the dual sim Desire 820. There's more specific instructions on how to use the toolkit on the central WinDroid thread as well.

On spreadsheet there is only mention about d820u, a Desire 820 dual-sim version. Does it mean Desire 820 with single SIM is supported?
Sorry for offtopic, but i have 2nd question: How about Stock RUUs for 820 SingleSIM version? Is there any? Maybe I just can't see it.

I'm use this toolkit and my device not dual sim model. I'm not unlock bootloader in last step. Every steps working. but last step To think that successful Please fix unlock bootloader mode. And sorry for my bad english

Try rebooting manually into Fastboot/Bootloader mode then try the Unlock Bootloader step again.

are the chances of this toolkit doing it's job affected by upgrading os ( jb --> kk or kk --> lp)?
has anyone with lollipop succeeded in rooting and installing custom recovery using this toolkit?
thanks for any response.

hello this is wrong it think. i managed to install twrp and root my htc d820u while on kitkat. but when i tried to install on lollipop the twrp will just give me a black screen. concerning root it i could not test because the phone reboots to the twrp black screen.. the twrp is responding though, i think it's an incompatibility problem with lollipop.

[GUIDE] Huawei IDEOS X3 (U8510) | Root | CWM | CyanogenMod 7.2

This thread is about the Huawei IDEOS X3 (U8510) mobile phone.
Some apparent facts:
We need a dedicated X3 forum or at least a generic Huawei forum where all the numerous Huawei owners can get together.
Huawei U8650 ROM's are compatible with the X3's with some minor configuration differences. The U8650 port of CM7 is claimed to work well with the X3 and is faster than the stock ROM.
Much of X3 development activity have been on German and Spanish forums. Maybe because the English-speaking world got their X3's much later than continental Europe?
XDA sources:
Long X3 Q&A thread
External sources:
Android Hilfe X3 Forum (German)
Modaco Wiki X3 ROM's (though seems outdated)
HTC Mania U8650 Forum (Spanish)
Rooting Instructions
This was taken from lowskill's Automatic Root Enabler thread in Android Hilfe forums. Many thanks to him for this.
The Automatic Root Enabler for the X3 v1.0 should install:
ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.1.5
Superuser v3.0.6
Su binary v3.0.3
Install BusyBox from the Market through one of the installers.
Step by step
Download the Automatic Root Enabler for the X3. For more recent versions I suggest checking his thread and the forum it's in as I may not be able to update this thread all the time.
Install the latest USB drivers for the X3. Search for the latest version of "HUAWEI Android Phones USB Driver" from the Huawei Downloads site.
Turn on USB Debugging from Settings -> Application -> Development on the X3.
Connect the X3 to your PC via microUSB.
Run the Automatic Root Enabler and it should start rooting your phone automatically.
It should finish off with something like this:

CyanogenMod 7.2 (Unofficial)
There are a few things you have to know before installing CyanogenMod:
There is no official CM port for the X3.
This CM port came from the developers in the Spanish forum HTC Mania. It was originally built for the Huawei U8650 phone which, if you've read the first post in this thread, have got near identical ROM's to the X3. The guys from the German forum Android Hilfe have taken this port, tweaked and modified it to suit the X3. I don't have a comprehensive list of U8650 and X3 differences but suffice it to say the Android Hilfe folks are happy with the stability of this particular version.
As you can see it took me a while to crawl through Spanish and German pages, but with the help of Google Chrome's automatic translation I was able to make of what was going on. I will occasionally try and update this thread based on updates from the said external forums but I'd like to apologise in advance that I will probably not be able to do this quick enough after new releases come out.
External sources:

Modified U8650 ROM for X3 from Android Hilfe (German)
CM7.2 Installation Instructions
The version in this tutorial is cyanogen_u8650-benru89-neu-samia99-2-mit-Wallpaper. the "Wallpaper" bit only means that this is the version with no wallpapers included. It's a lightweight version and contains no bloat.
Note: Please backup your stock ROM with CWM Recovery before installing CyanogenMod. I haven't found an updated version of the stock ROM elsewhere. Mine came with 2.3.4 (Vodafone branded) but the flashable ROM's I could find on the web were all 2.3.3 generic.
Make sure you root your phone as per the instructions in the previous post. You will need to use CWM Recovery.
Download samia99's cyanogen_u8650-benru89-neu-samia99-2-mit-Wallpaper.zip ROM and save it in the X3's SD card.
Reboot your phone into recovery. I use the Quick Boot app from the Market to do this.
Do a factory wipe, cache wipe and Dalvik cache wipe (from Advanced menu).
Select Install zip from SD card and select the ZIP file you've just copied.
Reboot after installation has completed.
For CyanogenMod configuration questions please see CM docs or CM-specific threads.
That's it! Enjoy!
good job!!! but is this version of cyan sluggish like the resT?

Sluggish in comparison to the X3 stock or other CM versions?
I find this version more responsive than the X3 stock (which lagged quite a bit for me) but got no point of comparison with other CM versions/builds. Only thing I noticed is this CM build seems to eat more battery than my rooted stock. On both I had the same SetCPU and JuiceDefender settings.
Quick question: Rooting will delete my data?

Rooting will not wipe your data, and will not remove your SIM lock. You will need to ask your carrier for an unlock code.

Mine just gets stuck @ waiting for device after fastboot.
EDITED: Finally made it. using windows 7.. With XP I got stuck
Windows XP Driver Issue in Fastboot Mode
It's a driver issue. The entry for the bootloader interface in Windows XP is missing in the official Huawei USB driver package.
I've made a driver installer, which is based on the current Google USB driver. I only added the missing interface entries. It's tested and working in Windows 7 (64bit & 32bit) and Windows XP. Unfortunately I can't post the download link -.-

Thanks for the great work gathering useful info and make them in English.
I bought my U8510 in Taiwan and this CM7.2 mostly works with it, except the back camera freezes and FC after a few seconds or as soon as I take a photo.
The front camera is working perfectly though.
Other then that everything seems OK.
The bad thing is I didn't make a original ROM backup and I don't know to restore through the downloaded update.app file, as CM7 doesn't have that "upgrade from SD" option in settings.
Any insight is appreciated.
Managed to flash back to stock ROM by pressing Vol+ Vol- and Power Button with the update.app copied to SD card (/dload/)
Also I just found the latest official 2.3.5 ROM if anyone's interested:
(oops, unable to post link as I am a new comer, it's from huawei's office site).
Found it incorrectly sets the MAC address for the wifi device...
or its just different from the stock rom i had, had to reset the mac filter on my wifi to accept the new rom
Help
Can anyone upload the rom to MF since it will take me ages to download from rapidshare.. thank you.. btw..has anyone try the versions of this rom (there are 4 version on android-hilfe[dot]de..
Fantastic....just installed it with your instructions....no problem at all.
It's different language...how to change it???
How do I get google market on board now?
Thanks once again.
---------- Post added at 09:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:52 PM ----------
Never mind.....market is already there. Just changed the language and its working flawlessly.
Thanks so much for this post man. I'm looking to buy an X3 to use as a spare mobile and it looks like it has awesome bang for buck ($89 here in Australia).
i´ve a Huwaei X3(U8510) and i put this ROM,works very nice! But i can´t send or recive MMS,i´m from Portugal and i Have Vodafone network. Can someone help me please...
i read this rom had problems with mms. Have you tried apnportugal
The rom that you're using has a different apn setting.
If you can find someone on your network using the same phone you can ask them to backup their apn settings and then restore the apn backup to your phone. There are many apn settings backup programs in the Market. If you cannot find the same phone on the same network then you can try apn settings from another android phone on the same network. But it has to be the same network.
If you know the mmsc that your provider (vodaphone in this case) uses then you can go into apn settings and edit it yourself. I'm sorry this part is going to be a bit jumbled since I do not have a x3 and cannot test if it works... but it should work. Open "voice dialing" or something similar and say "Open APN". It will open the settings you might have to enter your MSL to get into edit mode then change the mmsc portion. Once changed try sending a picture message.
For example my rom is for Sprint so my mmsc was
mms.sprintpcs.com
I had to change it to
mm.myboostmoblie.com
Hopefully this information gets you looking in the right direction. Good luck.

Hello spljoe,
I will write you how to install ROM to your phone. First download links to ROMs:
1. Stock pre-rooted ROM Android 4.3.0 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rooted-rom-android-4-3-0-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
2. Stock non rooted ROM Android 4.4.2 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rom-android-4-4-2-kitkat-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
I prefer personally 4.3.0 because is pre-rooted and rooted apps works perfectly!
Now you need to download this files: mediafire.com/folder/w0dh4b4h854mqq6,e22d2b5foep12ty,em36kke7pwkwphf/shared
1. Install PDA drivers from file;
2. Now open MP809T mobile phone flash steps Android 4.4.2.doc and follow instructions;
First you have to know that there is 2 different LCD screens for MPai 809T. You have to choose witch driver to install for your LCD. For 4.3.0 ROM you have only 1 option for LCD! If after flashing you start the phone, but can not see the logo, that's means wrong LCD driver.
If you need more help you can ask. If you are success with flashing you can buy me a beer - PayPal - [email protected] :good:

But my chipset is MTK6592 not what is mentioned in the document. I doubt it will work for me. I am confused and don't know how to proceed.
Please confirm this will work for MTK6592 chipset as well. Because mine is Octa-core phone.
I am just looking for step-by-step procedure to follow.
Thanks,
Joe
Answer
You can download ROM for MTK 6592 octacore where you find from needrom. After that you can follow the steps in my Guide from mediafire. Just use other ROM for MTK 6592 octacore.

Dear Dani,
I was able to upgrade the firmware from 4.3 to 4.4.2 by following your instructions. I installed from needrom download. But It's not complete format and reinstall. Upgrade didn't give me option to select/re-select the region to India. My India SIM cards are still not working. Can you please help me to format the phone completely and reinstall the 4.4.2 ROM ??? I have taken NVRAM backup using custom recovery.
If you can provide step-by-step procedure for that, it will be of gr8 help to me.
Thanks for the guide you have provided.
Thanks,
Joe
Answer
Hello,
I am sorry, but I have no idea what can you do more. You can ask someone else for help.
IMEI Issue
Incorrect IMEI # was causing the issue. After writing new IMEI # using Droid tool resolved my issue. Thanks for all your guidance. With your help I could upgrade my phone to 4.4.2. Thanks Dani, though no beer!

Hello spljoe,
I will write you how to install ROM to your phone. First download links to ROMs:
1. Stock pre-rooted ROM Android 4.3.0 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rooted-rom-android-4-3-0-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
2. Stock non rooted ROM Android 4.4.2 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rom-android-4-4-2-kitkat-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
I prefer personally 4.3.0 because is pre-rooted and rooted apps works perfectly!
Now you need to download this files: mediafire.com/folder/w0dh4b4h854mqq6,e22d2b5foep12ty,em36kke7pwkwphf/shared
1. Install PDA drivers from file;
2. Now open MP809T mobile phone flash steps Android 4.4.2.doc and follow instructions;

These drivers helped me to connect to PC successfully for data transfer through USB.

Friend, I need your help. My 809T, with MTK6592, broke the screen. But I found one screen to buy, and I did this purchase, I already have the new screen. But when I plug the flat cable of the new screen in cell phone, the screen light up, but no image was shown. After that, I knew that 809T have two screen versions, and probally the screen that I bought have a different version that screen that came with cell phone.
I downloaded the ROM, but I need a help with intructions to install the ROM with driver for my new screen, because till now I couldn't install the screen with any program. I have the "SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject", and "SP flash tool", but a several errors appear with these programs. Could you give the steps to configure these programs? My new screen is TD0-HD0499K70425.
I really need this cell phone, and think that I could lost it because I can't install the screen drives me crazy, because the cell phone is too good!
I have octa core model, with 4.4.2. i cant root it at all, any ideas?

How you resized the data partition? I have done it, and had problems, internal storage file system was damaged after reboots and at random times, and suddenly /data was wiped for no reason. I restored stock ebr1 and ebr2. This problem was happening only when i had many apps (when /data had more than 1GB data). Have you checked this?
Hi gerstavros, I manually edited EBR1 and EBR2.
I tried it out before with 2.5GB data partition and I had the same problem: damaged storage, phone doesn't boot, data gone...
I changed data partition size to 2.0GB and it works fine until now. Free space is about 650MB. Remaining internal storage is 444MB (I think this is sufficient for system apps that don't use external SD).

Hi, I know this isn't the right thread, but its the closest I can get to having my question answered.
So basically I have a DROID RAZR HD XT926 rooted, with android 4.4.2, kernel version 3.4.42 and system version 182.46.10 which is downgraded using instructions from here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-hd/general/root-droid-razr-hd-xt926-183-46-15-t3062040
So what I want to do is unlock my bootloader. I have been trying for a few days and searched many forums but with no success. I didn't find any other method other than using motopocalypse. I have tried using the apk version from my phone and the app says bootloader is unlocked but when I check in fastboot mode it says device is locked and status code 0. When I use the pc method ( I have windows 10) it just shows daemon started successfully... and then u nothing.
If anyone could provide any assistance I would really appreciate it.

If there is, no one has discovered it yet. Most developers have given up and moved on to newer devices, so finding a way to unlock the bootloader is effectively impossible.
Help updating an old XT926
Hi
I have an ex-Verizon XT926, although I am in the UK. When I first got it I rooted it and unlocked the bootloader (and changed some obscure setting so that it would potentially work on GSM in the US). But I never actually updated the ROM or took any OTA. So it is still on Android 4.1.2, 9.16.6.XT926.Verizon.en.US.
Although I'm being offered 9.18.79.en.US OTA, it won't successfully take that (presumably because I've rooted it, or because it doesn't like the version of TWRP I have installed).
I've spent some time googling/searching, but as the version-relevant threads are pretty old now, it all gets a bit confusing.
What I'd like to do is to upgrade to Marshmallow, if a reasonable version exists for this phone. Is it essentially as simple as finding a suitable ROM and installing it from the SD card using ROM Manager? Or via TWRP? Do I need to worry about what version of TWRP I have installed?

You cannot install updates unless full stock
You will need to flash a official (xml.zip) firmware with RSD Lite

latest official rom is Kitkat 4.4.2,
Marshmallow may available in a custom rom like CyanogenMod 13 (cm13)

I wouldn't use Rom Manager, Twrp version does matter, find a rom you would like to try, then ask in the rom ask in the Rom thread which TWRP version works best.
You will most likely need the Kitkat bootloader
I would just flash a official kitkat 4.4.2 (xml.zip) firmware with RSD Lite

I used the cyanogenmod app to download cm12 and the Gapps nano package for cm12. Also tried cm11 with and without its corresponding Gapps...just hangs on the duel core logo, cm12 hangs on the blue alien logo? Should I factory reset? Or will I lose my cm downloads and be screwed? Thanks for the assist
Solution to my problem was to wipe internal storage, dalvic cache, system data and cache, the went great I have cm12.1 running smooth all gapps from nano package running well. Thanks for the help, cm12.1 is really nice.
Hello,
Thanks to many threads here I was able to fix my non so well working xt925 and installed a working CM 13, but right now I face a little issue :
Everything works fine (android, apps, ...), but when I restart the phone, instead of following the restart I ask it always goes into fastboot.
I can force reboot recovery, normal, whatever, it goes to fastboot.
I have then to type fastboot continue, or to reset into bootloader to hit the command Normal powerup to start launching android.
I haven't found much info about this as everytime I looked for it, I only got people stucked onto fastboot with broken recovery/os.
I am with a jellybean bootloader.
EDIT : I actually found the solution, get into fastboot mode, and type fastboot oem fb_mode_clear. The device will then restart normally. I guess I hit factory mode at some point in my previous operations. Sorry for the useless question.
Martin
No custom ROMs work?
I have an XT925 with an unlocked bootloader and it was stuck in AP fastboot mode for some time before I unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP recovery 2.8.6.0. RSD Lite still won't flash 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 and just returns:
Code:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT
I can however flash stock 4.0.4 and 4.1.2 ROMs to my Razr HD using the Razr HD Toolkit (thread here), and flash a modified Canadian 4.4.2 OTA (from here) using RSD Lite.
For some reason though, no custom ROMs work. Many others (such as PACMAN) were hosted on GOO.IM or some other dead site (such as the unofficial Resurrection Remix), so they were impossible to download. I've only tried Dirty Unicorns, MIUI, CM11, CM12.1 and SlimKat, and only Dirty Unicorns could get to the boot animation. All other ROMs don't boot past the Unlocked Bootloader Warning screen (which has now been replaced with a Motorola Dual Core Technology one).
Any ideas?

Works perfect on the dual Sim 5015X, much easier to distinguish between Sim's on CM12.1, haven't come across any issues with bluetooth either?
Purchased this phone brand new at Sainsbury's for £50, while I await parts for my broken s6
Now I have CM12.1, I don't miss the s6 much at all
Great work thanks
Recovery boot

I enabled USB Debugging and then Used ADB > ADB REBOOT RECOVERY or ADB REBOOT BOOTLOADER
:good:
is coming cm 13 for this device or not?
Hi good day.
I've installed this rom on my Pop 3 (5) device. Works very well, but this have a bug. I've selected "just charge" option on USB connection mode, and it never detected usb cable again. I tried several things to put USB mass storage again, but android just don't detect usb connection.
I hope can fix this bug, compilation is very good . Thank you!

Download the recovery from this thread and also the scatter file (to do so, right click on the scatter and press save as, then save).
Download SPFT latest version from here and SuperSU .
Place SuperSU zip on sdcard or internal.
Power off device and remove battery if possible.
Plug in USB cable to PC and click on the download button in SPFT.
Connect your phone and let it flash.
Boot to recovery mode and flash SuperSU.
@ZonaRMR Hi, your rom is perfect, but I need stock firmware files which can be flashed via SP Flash Tool. I can't find it anywhere so can you make a ReadBack via SPFT? Or anyone who has got this phone? My version is 5015X but probably any will be good. Thanks for help. And no, I can't flash stock FW via official Alcatel Upgrade app or something, because phone is not recognized by this app. Only SP Flash Tool can see phone.
This ROM is nice but i can't record videos on my 5015D
Hello, everyone
I just signed up and I installed this ROM...but..-I'd like to know why the SYSTEM, now, uses about 400 MB of RAM (settings - App - In use)...is it just me ??
Thanks..
Hello everyone,
Really thanks for the ROM that you have made available, but there are still too many bugs/problems...
1 - Low volume (lower than ROM stock !!)
2 - Scroll lag (Instagram, Browser, Facebook...)
3 - In most videos (Instagram, Youtube..) you only hear the audio and the image is frozen
4 - I can use only Camera stock (Camu) to make videos, because any other app crashes
5 - System takes up about 350 Mb of Ram (approximately 1 GB total)
...and something else that i'm missing...
Sorry for my not perfect english ...I expect replies...
Thank you so much !!

Question When are Custom Roms available

Hello first, I am new here.
I bought the smartphone Realme GT Neo 2 since 1 week. Now I wanted to ask when can we expect custom roms?
See, We got our kernel sources on November 2 if i am not mistaken.
Now our development team is only waiting for the bootloader to get unlocked [ realme is delaying it].
Once we can unlock our bl, things will be pretty easy and you can expect custom support pretty soon.

Sorry for asking so stupid?
Is the kernel and the bootloader separate.
What I wonder is how does that work?
Where does the team get the kernel and drivers?
And how does the team unlock the bootloader?

Yep, kernel and bootloader are different.
The kernel is the main stuff in a device. It is a bridge between the hardware and the software. Basically we can control the hardware of a device using software through kernel.
Kernel is released by the device manufacturer [realme github page].
here is a simple image showing how kernel works:

bootloader is hmm, let me attach result from web heh -
Rich (BB code):
In the simplest terms, a bootloader is a piece of software that runs every time your phone starts up. It tells the phone what programs to load in order to make your phone run. The bootloader starts up the Android operating system when you turn on the phone. This is a pretty important job, so it’s very important that nothing goes wrong with it.
unlocking it allows the user to flash different roms onto the device.

But the bootloder does not unlock realme or on github?

There is an app called- deep test apk . It is provided by realme. By installing it we can check if our device is capable of unlocking bootloader or not.
The company has to allow the device to be able to unlock its bootloader , which realme is not allowing as of yet.
We dont know why they are doing it and have asked them end number of times in twitter as to when they will allow for us to unlock, but they said we should wait as they dont have much information regarding it.

So now all we can do is wait. Lets have patience.
Kernels are released, means unlock should be possible soon.
All we can do is hope.
And only then can the Lineage Os team program their system so that it runs for the Smartpohne without problems.
The drivers have been programmed in the C programming language.
But can not the drivers themselves programming halt with a programming of Xda forum. there you can but that directly from Qualcomm herbekommen since the SoC is from Qualcom.
With Mediathek SoC you can not program a Custom Rom.

i couldnt understand much of that part, but mdk based devices have customs roms now.
I think they will release it when they release their own software for Android 12. Only then, or not at all.
Can you program in any language

bootloader unlock-ability is given by the company. They have to enable our device from their end.
We at present can do nothing.
Yes you told me that.
What I meant was whether you as a person can actually program in any programming language. Can you code

You don't think we are able to read along in private conversations, do you? That would be madness! The only PMs that are displayed to our team are those that are being reported (in order to fight PM spam and such) and those are only for Senior Moderators and above. So please feel free to share anything you like via PM.
