Welcome to the Huawei U8860 Honor / Honour / Glory - Index!
(please treat this thread as dev-thread, it is part of a dev-forum, not Q&A)
Please don't PM me for support, I will ignore those requests - they are just too many and I'm not getting paid for that, I'm not huawei support. Just ask your questions somewhere in the forum, but in my opinion this thread is really not the place for it, since this is a developer forum and not the Q&A section. That's why xda-developers adds restrictions to post here for new users - to prevent this to be a Q&A-Forum. Please Try to ask your questions in the appropriate Q&A-Section of the xda-developer Forum.
Different versions of the Huawei Honor
There are two feature differences that I am aware of:
Number of Touch-Points: 2 or 5; I have 2 touch-points and with B977 my ProjectMenu just printed "synaptic" as touchscreen version, with B919 it states "synaptics-TPK.6"
Position of Huawei Logo on the back: in the top-left corner (china / russia?) or in the middle like this: http://kaefert.is-a-geek.org/huawei_honor/IMG_7491_small.JPG
It seem's there are versions without a camera? at least user limzm states in his signature his U8860 doesn't have one.
Backup & Recovery
In my opinion the first and most important thing when playing around with different ROMs, is the ability to backup and restore the phones ROM & state.
For this you need a custom recovery (which you will also need to flash custom ROMs, so you might only skip this if you want to only flash stock ROMs)
If you're on an 2.3.6 ROM, then possibly for this to work, you first need to flash a different stock ROM. There have been reports that with 2.3.6 the method below may not work. Also some newer ROMs like B923 and above have locked boot loaders, the latest ICS ROM that you can use for this is B919
NEW: CWM 6.0.1.0 with touch-support: MOD EDIT: Link removed.
OLD: download recovery-u8860-en.img from here MOD EDIT: Link removed.
make sure there is no directory named "dload" on your micro-sd-card - if there is, rename or remove it.
Turn off Fast-Boot, and shutdown your phone. If you don't know how to turn off Fast-Boot, pull the battery (it can be found in different places in different ROMs)
Press and hold volume-up, volume-down and power-button at the same time.
You should now see your phones screen pink (="pink screen mode")
Now connect your phone with an USB cable to a computer
A few disks should be mounted, search for the one that has an "image" folder with an recovery.img and a boot.img inside it. rename the recovery.img to recovery-bak.img (or simular) and copy recovery-u8860-en.img there and rename it to recovery.img
WARNING: Don't use the file recovery_v8.img which is referenced in a few other guides. It crashes and leaves you with non bootable phone-states and/or with unfished backups which cannot be restored.
ROMs
Stock ROMs (& leaked stock ROMs)
Stock ROMs (or leaked stock ROMs) can be flashed like this:
Download and unpack onto your micro-SD Card like that: /mnt/sdcard/dload/UPDATE.APP (some ROMs also have UPDATE_CUST.APP, copy it to the same place. If you're update has a second dload_cust (or the like) folder, you need to flash it in a second round just as the first one, by renaming it to "dload")
Turn off Fast-Boot, and shutdown your phone. If you don't know how to turn off Fast-Boot, pull the battery (it can be found in different places in different ROMs)
Press and hold volume-up, volume-down and power-button at the same time.
If everything above was done correctly, you should be able to watch your phone upgrading now.
Alternative: Some ROMs have an option in the settings that lets you start the upgrade-procedure without step 2.) and 3.) from above. If you can find it, you can use that one.
You can find stock ROMs here:

(thanks to user det-happy for pointing it out to me)
The most important Stock-ROM in my eyes (as base for most custom ROMs there are) is B919, find it here:

For people running linux on their computers, I've created an adapted version of this root tool:
kaefert.is-a-geek.org/huawei_honor/HuaweiHonorRootTool_LinuxVersion.7z
OLD: Theres a nice guide explaining how to root and flash+enable google-apps here: (but don't take the recovery from there but from above. explanation also above) - only use this if the new method above doesn't work for you.

Custom ROMs
To flash custom ROMs:
download their .zip file and put it somewhere on your sd-card
boot into your custom recovery: turn off phone completly, then Long press volume up + power button (for installation of custom recovery see top of this post)
factory reset / wipe everything (not always necessary, but to be on the save side. Some ROMs will not work in some cases if you don't wipe first, however the other way round is also possible, there are custom ROMs that will NOT work if you wipe, best look at the instructions from where you downloaded the custom ROM..)
flash update zip -> choose zip from sd card.

Android 4.x MIUI ROMs
WARNING: most MIUI-ROMs have SMS-confirmations turned on by default, which costs extra with many providers (like mine..) so check it before sending your first SMS and turn it off

Custom Kernels
I found a custom kernel that adds the option to overclock up to 2GHz. I'm used it running at 1.8GHz and it didn't seem to be any more unstable than before (I'm using the MIUI ROM which is a little bit instable all by itself already)
MOD EDIT: Link removed since you need to register to download the kernel, I also attached it MOD EDIT: Link removed to make it easier for you.
I also managed to build (and deploy) the 3.0.8 kernel sources provided by huawei myself, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23505650
With the help of the writer of rvoix I managed to adept our kernel in a way that rvoix works, but for the moment only mono so both parties mixed together in one channel (but recorded from the line, not only from the mic like most apps do). I attach the kernel that works with rvoix: View attachment boot_voc2.img.
Or for people wanting to build their kernels themselfs, here's the patch: http://code.google.com/p/rvoix/sour...pdragon/kernel/huawei_honor_u8860_rvoix.patch
UPDATE: Since our kernel sources don't work with B919 and later (non functional camera and wifi) I decided to go the other way round and modify the rvoix app to work with our kernel instead of adapting the kernel to work with the app. Here are the results: http://code.google.com/p/rvoix/downloads/detail?name=rvoix_mod_kaefert_v2.apk --> call recording that should work with all huawei honor 4.0.3 ROMs!
Various pointers
Adapting Chinese ROMs
Adding Google Apps (like the Market) --> Download zip from here http://goo-inside.me/gapps and flash it with recovery
Remove unwanted chinese system apps --> I do it with QtADB --> http://qtadb.wordpress.com/ But I guess you can also do it with some root app management apps
Change to languages that are not choosable in the standard language setting --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale
Reading chinese sites
People who don't use google chrome or the chromium project (yet) probably don't know, that it has a really nice built-in translating feature, thats very useful for finding your way arround all these chinese (or russian) websites, and much better then using translate.google.com (or other such services) manually with other browsers.
Miscellaneous
Silent Huawei camera (ICS)
I was annoyed one day by all the noises the huawei camera simulates. Therefore I investigated and found out how to make it silent.

UPDATE
Sorry guys, but there won't be any updates by me anymore. I've moved on to Sony Xperia Z. The notoriosly low memory problem finally did it. (And Ingress)
There's a newer list of custom ROMs here:

Hi guys.
I've just cleaned this thread and would like to remind everyone about some points, so that they're not repeated in the future, and explain all the missing links you may notice.
Warez is strictly forbidden on XDA. Please do not link to websites that provide it, or to ROMs that contain pirated apps.
Kernels are licensed under the GPL. This means that the kernel's source should be provided. If it is not, it's illegal and will be treated as warez as far as XDA is concerned. In simpler terms: if you're posting a link to a ROM that contains a kernel, or a kernel, make sure the kernel's source is available and link to it as well.
Recoveries that aren't based on stock and that use a zImage (which is covered by the GPL) must also be provided along with the source.
Links to competing or commercial websites are not allowed. Links to websites that require registration to access downloads are also not allowed (there are exceptions, please see rule #11 for more info.)
Credits must be given, and you must have permission to share the work. Assuming that you do: if this goes against the point above, you may mention the member/website without linking directly to his work. Point #2 still applies - a link to the kernel's source must be provided if necessary.
I realize this may have caused links to your favorite custom ROMs to be removed, and I apologize about that. Many of you clearly put a lot of effort into building, maintaining and helping with this index. However, all posts must respect the rules first and foremost.
Please PM me if you have any questions or if you need further clarification.
Thanks for understanding.
Hey thanks so much for helping with this. I followed your guides and managed to get my Honor rooted and on an ICS version. Thanks so much.

You're welcome. However, for the future, if theres nothing you want to say but to give thanks to someone for a post above yours, don't answer with a post of your own, but just use the "thanks" button. Thats what it was made for.
However if there are some questions or some obscurities in my post, feel free to ask.

Well, I've been using it for 2 days now. I wouldn't call it stable, it has some rough edges, sometimes some system app crashes (like in the beginning I had a problem with the SMS-app), and I've had 2 complete system crashes (forced reboot) while running oruxmaps for navigation & gps-logging with my byclicle.
Check with you, if i installed the custom recovery, and root, can i revert back to stock by flashing via the settings menu or the vol/power button combination and stock rom in load directory?

Well the settings menue doesn't contain the huawei upgrade option in every ROM (for example not in the MUIU ROM), but the volumn up+down while booting will probably work, I haven't tried though. The upgrade directory however has to be call "dload", not "load".
To revert back to a previous ROM I find it much better to use the nandroid backup and recover options that every recovery image I saw yet contains. However be careful, the recovery-v8.img posted on some other places is instable and crashes before the backup is finished. you won't be able to recover such an incomplete backup. Always check if you have some backup complete message, it should NOT reboot automatically after making a backup.

Well the MIUI ROM has much more configuration options, for example you have a statusbar settings page where you can choose between default battery icon, percentage number or the top pixel row in green. Or also the MIUI theme chooser is really nice.
Another useful thing is the permission manager thats included that (if you config it that way) asks you whenever an app tries to use a permission that its defined to require. for example if you have an app that has the permission to send sms then the permission manager will ask you the first time that the app really sends an sms if you want to allow or deny it, and also if you want to save your choice or if it should ask next time again.

Hmm. Well the only ideas I have:
1.) Theres a 2G+3G / 2G only switch, in the MIUI ROM I linked in my first post you can reach it like this:
Home Screen --> Settings --> More... (4th point under the heading Wireless & Networks) --> Mobile Networks --> Only 2G-Networks
If that switch is on, than obviously your phone won't connect to a 3G network
2.) Your not in range of a 3G network?
Apparently there is bootloop issue for the newly released MIUI ROM 2.3.23 over at MOD EDIT: Link removed.
My experience is that I got stuck at the splashscreen as well.
I have download another at MIUI main site : MOD EDIT: Link removed.
and it works OK. Some portions of the UI are with Chinese texts and a few Chinese apps but overall still OK.

The ROMs that I know of and that I've tried you find in the first post. I found the loader (=desktop) of the non-MIUI ROMs to be faster and snappier. (However, the MIUI is more feature-rich)
Okay thanks alot I think I'm gonna give MIUI a try. Downloaded the latest version from the MIUI website. Have you tried any CM Release?

As far as I know there is no CM (cyanogenmod) ROM for the Huawei U8860
I bought a MP 809t Smartphone. Are there any CWM and ROM for this phone? It runs android 4.3.0 from fabric, maybe AOSP, In "about phone" update is not listed.

Hello spljoe,
I will write you how to install ROM to your phone. First download links to ROMs:
1. Stock pre-rooted ROM Android 4.3.0 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rooted-rom-android-4-3-0-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
2. Stock non rooted ROM Android 4.4.2 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rom-android-4-4-2-kitkat-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
I prefer personally 4.3.0 because is pre-rooted and rooted apps works perfectly!
Now you need to download this files: mediafire.com/folder/w0dh4b4h854mqq6,e22d2b5foep12ty,em36kke7pwkwphf/shared
1. Install PDA drivers from file;
2. Now open MP809T mobile phone flash steps Android 4.4.2.doc and follow instructions;
First you have to know that there is 2 different LCD screens for MPai 809T. You have to choose witch driver to install for your LCD. For 4.3.0 ROM you have only 1 option for LCD! If after flashing you start the phone, but can not see the logo, that's means wrong LCD driver.
If you need more help you can ask. If you are success with flashing you can buy me a beer - PayPal - [email protected] :good:

Dear Dani,
I was able to upgrade the firmware from 4.3 to 4.4.2 by following your instructions. I installed from needrom download. But It's not complete format and reinstall. Upgrade didn't give me option to select/re-select the region to India. My India SIM cards are still not working. Can you please help me to format the phone completely and reinstall the 4.4.2 ROM ??? If you can provide step-by-step procedure for that, it will be of gr8 help to me.
Thanks for the guide you have provided.

1. Stock pre-rooted ROM Android 4.3.0 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rooted-rom-android-4-3-0-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
2. Stock non rooted ROM Android 4.4.2 - needrom.com/download/official-factory-rom-android-4-4-2-kitkat-mtk6582-for-mpai-809t/
I prefer personally 4.3.0 because is pre-rooted and rooted apps works perfectly!
Now you need to download this files: mediafire.com/folder/w0dh4b4h854mqq6,e22d2b5foep12ty,em36kke7pwkwphf/shared
1. Install PDA drivers from file;
2. Now open MP809T mobile phone flash steps Android 4.4.2.doc and follow instructions;

These drivers helped me to connect to PC successfully for data transfer through USB.
Thanks,
Joe

Friend, I need your help. My 809T, with MTK6592, broke the screen. But I found one screen to buy, and I did this purchase, I already have the new screen. But when I plug the flat cable of the new screen in cell phone, the screen light up, but no image was shown. After that, I knew that 809T have two screen versions, and probally the screen that I bought have a different version that screen that came with cell phone.
I downloaded the ROM, but I need a help with intructions to install the ROM with driver for my new screen, because till now I couldn't install the screen with any program. I have the "SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject", and "SP flash tool", but a several errors appear with these programs. Could you give the steps to configure these programs? My new screen is TD0-HD0499K70425.
I really need this cell phone, and think that I could lost it because I can't install the screen drives me crazy, because the cell phone is too good!

How you resized the data partition? I have done it, and had problems, internal storage file system was damaged after reboots and at random times, and suddenly /data was wiped for no reason. I restored stock ebr1 and ebr2. This problem was happening only when i had many apps (when /data had more than 1GB data). Have you checked this?
Hi gerstavros, I manually edited EBR1 and EBR2.
I tried it out before with 2.5GB data partition and I had the same problem: damaged storage, phone doesn't boot, data gone...
I changed data partition size to 2.0GB and it works fine until now. Free space is about 650MB. Remaining internal storage is 444MB (I think this is sufficient for system apps that don't use external SD).

Hi, I know this isn't the right thread, but its the closest I can get to having my question answered.
So basically I have a DROID RAZR HD XT926 rooted, with android 4.4.2, kernel version 3.4.42 and system version 182.46.10 which is downgraded using instructions from here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-hd/general/root-droid-razr-hd-xt926-183-46-15-t3062040
So what I want to do is unlock my bootloader. I have been trying for a few days and searched many forums but with no success. I didn't find any other method other than using motopocalypse. I have tried using the apk version from my phone and the app says bootloader is unlocked but when I check in fastboot mode it says device is locked and status code 0. When I use the pc method ( I have windows 10) it just shows daemon started successfully... and then u nothing.
If anyone could provide any assistance I would really appreciate it.

If there is, no one has discovered it yet. Most developers have given up and moved on to newer devices, so finding a way to unlock the bootloader is effectively impossible.
Help updating an old XT926
Hi
I have an ex-Verizon XT926, although I am in the UK. When I first got it I rooted it and unlocked the bootloader (and changed some obscure setting so that it would potentially work on GSM in the US). But I never actually updated the ROM or took any OTA. So it is still on Android 4.1.2, 9.16.6.XT926.Verizon.en.US.
Although I'm being offered 9.18.79.en.US OTA, it won't successfully take that (presumably because I've rooted it, or because it doesn't like the version of TWRP I have installed).
I've spent some time googling/searching, but as the version-relevant threads are pretty old now, it all gets a bit confusing.
What I'd like to do is to upgrade to Marshmallow, if a reasonable version exists for this phone. Is it essentially as simple as finding a suitable ROM and installing it from the SD card using ROM Manager? Or via TWRP? Do I need to worry about what version of TWRP I have installed?

You cannot install updates unless full stock
You will need to flash a official (xml.zip) firmware with RSD Lite

latest official rom is Kitkat 4.4.2,
Marshmallow may available in a custom rom like CyanogenMod 13 (cm13)

I wouldn't use Rom Manager, Twrp version does matter, find a rom you would like to try, then ask in the rom ask in the Rom thread which TWRP version works best.
You will most likely need the Kitkat bootloader
I would just flash a official kitkat 4.4.2 (xml.zip) firmware with RSD Lite

I used the cyanogenmod app to download cm12 and the Gapps nano package for cm12. Also tried cm11 with and without its corresponding Gapps...just hangs on the duel core logo, cm12 hangs on the blue alien logo? Should I factory reset? Or will I lose my cm downloads and be screwed? Thanks for the assist
Solution to my problem was to wipe internal storage, dalvic cache, system data and cache, the went great I have cm12.1 running smooth all gapps from nano package running well. Thanks for the help, cm12.1 is really nice.
Hello,
Thanks to many threads here I was able to fix my non so well working xt925 and installed a working CM 13, but right now I face a little issue :
Everything works fine (android, apps, ...), but when I restart the phone, instead of following the restart I ask it always goes into fastboot.
I can force reboot recovery, normal, whatever, it goes to fastboot.
I have then to type fastboot continue, or to reset into bootloader to hit the command Normal powerup to start launching android.
I haven't found much info about this as everytime I looked for it, I only got people stucked onto fastboot with broken recovery/os.
I am with a jellybean bootloader.
EDIT : I actually found the solution, get into fastboot mode, and type fastboot oem fb_mode_clear. The device will then restart normally. I guess I hit factory mode at some point in my previous operations. Sorry for the useless question.
Martin
No custom ROMs work?
I have an XT925 with an unlocked bootloader and it was stuck in AP fastboot mode for some time before I unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP recovery 2.8.6.0. RSD Lite still won't flash 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 and just returns:
Code:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT
I can however flash stock 4.0.4 and 4.1.2 ROMs to my Razr HD using the Razr HD Toolkit (thread here), and flash a modified Canadian 4.4.2 OTA (from here) using RSD Lite.
For some reason though, no custom ROMs work. Many others (such as PACMAN) were hosted on GOO.IM or some other dead site (such as the unofficial Resurrection Remix), so they were impossible to download. I've only tried Dirty Unicorns, MIUI, CM11, CM12.1 and SlimKat, and only Dirty Unicorns could get to the boot animation. All other ROMs don't boot past the Unlocked Bootloader Warning screen (which has now been replaced with a Motorola Dual Core Technology one).
Any ideas?

Custom Stock ROM v1
Due to confusion and minor bugs that required some user input I have removed the TWRP version and replaced it with this SPFlashTool version.
Before Flashing:
This ROM will wipe your internal sd_card including Pictures, Music, etc, etc on it. BACKUP First You have been warned!!!
This ROM is NOT a full Android upgrade so please make sure you are already on Android 6.0 (MM)
Whats Different bigrammy??
boot.logo Now Black instead of the White burning out your eyeballs one.
bootanimation. Now Black Pixel animation.
Default wallpapers Desktop and lockscreen Now Pixel Blue (no more boats)
Pixel Launcher
Assistant enabled
Sony id enabled (Allows you to install some Sony app's from the play store like keyboard)
Ported Sony Music Album and Video directly from my Sony C4 mt6752 device.
These are Just to name a few but has lots of other minor mods I have forgotten about.
Installing and things to Note:
MM TWRP is included in the ROM.
Please flash the entire ROM or I/we will not know whats causing the problems should there be any.
After the flash is complete boot to recovery ONLY and flash Magisk Latest Stable release HERE
First time boot takes 10 minutes so do not panic. As soon you see the boot animation go make a cup of coffee and wait.
It will boot guaranteed if you see the bootanimation. :fingers-crossed:
The reason it seems to take so long is that the boot animation continues until fully booted so you do not see the usual dialog box "updating app 1 of xxx" etc
Ensure you update Google Play Services via the playstore (Doing this First ensures smooth and uninterrupted updates of the other playstore apps)
Update all other app's listed in playstore/my apps
Note app's like trackid will only display in portrait as our device res is not officially supported.
Credit to HootanParsa for the Awesome file explorer his thread is HERE Please leave your thanks there too.
Ensure to check all app permission and choose the Pixel launcher as default.
See post #3 for instruction on hiding the SIM icon in the notifications bar.
Lastly But Most important please LEAVE SOME FEEDBACK
I know it will not be to everyone's tastes so feel free to mod add remove install what you like.

@bigrammy I'm sure it's on your to-do list, but how about, in the first post or placeholder posts, links to
- TWRP
- Original MM ROM
- Individual mods and/or guides to customisations/tweaks
Otherwise i guess they run the risk of getting swallowed up in the thread...Not that that has ever happened
Cheers

Hi chris5s,
Yes good point & I have been mulling this over since I started this dedicated MM 6.0 thread.
I really don't want to be dragged into the world of noobs and SPFlashtool, driver installation, flashing, etc as they will swear blacks white and whites black regardless of how well it's all explained. So I will put up the links along with a strong warning that I/we will not expand on SPflashTool drivers etc etc for installation of the Original MM ROM and TWRP recovery.
All the Best.
Edit: All Done anything I missed let me know.
@bigrammy Excellent work on the thread.
Since I don't have this tablet anymore, my information are probably not updated. This is an amazing device, and I enjoyed every bit of it. It's still running strong with my younger brother.
I shall put a link to this thread in mine so that people can come here for most current information.
Great job on the new thread, looks great and should streamline the process of the noobs and experienced alike find what they need and point them in the right direction. Great tutorial. The reason Android will keep growing is because of people like ones that have been involved with the dev work on this tablet, and all the projects here on XDA..
I was just comparing my A10-70F running 6.0.1 with my mother's which is on stock 5.0.1 and found that my screen was distinctly dull and grey in comparison. After removing f.lux and checking all the display and battery settings were the same I was stumped.
That was until I discovered that the brightness slider setting does absolutely nothing on mine!
Does it work for everyone else?
@mr-br working fine here :good:
@mr-br People with non-working brightness sliders on this tablet usually have enabled auto-brightness somehow, which does not work, as the tablet doesn't have an ambient light sensor. If you disable auto-brightness (for which you might need an app, as there are no controls for it in the standard settings app), then the brightness slider should work again.
Yes tx I found this seems to be a generic issue with this tablet. Found the app via a thread on the lenovo forum.
"I just installed the App "Best Display Brightness Level" from "Top10Labs" out of the GPlay-Store, then start it and uncheck the "Auto Brightness" tick Smiley Happy After that, i can use the built in brightness slider, even after uninstall the app Smiley Happy"
My screen still has rather a blue cast though ...
Has anyone installed this ROM coming from (rooted) stock 5.0.1 yet?

To which ROM do you refer??
If you mean the Stock then pretty much everyone I guess.
If you mean my custom stock then nobody has even bothered to report anything back at all.
I am pretty sure it would be just fine but until a few report back to it's OK I cant offer any Guarantees.
If your use to SPFlashTool then restoring the tablet would not be an issue anyway.
Yes, I do mean the stock Lenovo 5.0.1. Another question would be on your custom ROM 6.0, are there any issues for Tab2 A10-70F? As I have observed, you and others in Europe have the L version, which is not available to us in the US. Also, thank you for your hard work and guidance for the device, it is appreciated.

Most of us and me included are on the "F" version I think..
It is just that the L firmware also works on our F versions.
Maybe I should make it clear that my ROM is the WiFi version only as I stripped some of the RIL parts out of the ROM
Good news! I look forward to flashing your ROM and getting 6.0 on my tablet. Thank you for your patience in addressing my concerns and questions.

Important: Hi guys, I'm posting this message to talk about RevengeOS, yeah you already know that project so why I'm talking of it?
It's because I wanna talk about the developers of the project.
There are just 3 developers that hard worked everyday for you, with optimization, exclusive UI, volume panel, etc.
They want to make this project more and more exclusive, they want to improve everything.
And lastly, they want that their users be happy while using it.
But there is a problem, 3 developers can't do much.
So, I'm here to ask if you - if you're a developer, and if you want to join us, we have the following requirements:
- Knowledge on Android and Java
- Desire to innovate together the project
- Be mad
Email: [email protected]
Thanks for your contribution

HI!
Would You be so kind to tell, if that operating system could work properly on my Armor 5_x _Q_EEA with MT6765 platform? MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762). In other words, second revision of armor 5x, android 10.
I've got some strange problems with NFC. I received a device from China with NONEEA firmware. NFC didn't work, although there were no other problems. I switched to EEA official firmware . NFC did not work, although, again, I did not notice any other problems.
I don't no wat to do... I installed an app that reads NFC tags and read my own cards perfectly.
I updated Google services, I installed third-party payment applications. I can't pay.
I don't know what to try anymore ...
Has anyone come across this? Does NFC work on this OS?
Cheers, I have the newer Armor X5_SH1_V01
Chipset: MediaTek MT6763
Android 10/Kernal 4.9.190
is this compatible?

Cheers, thanks for the quick reply.
From reading through the complete forums for this phone (Armor X5_Q), I see that the internal specs are vastly different., yet all our phones are similar. What's advertised, may/may-not be true, and the reasons for many problems posted. To resolve download from the app store 'droid info' or similar app. I've read 3 different MT676* types.
For example. I just purchased the "2021 Armor X5 running Andriod 10 / Kernal 4.9.190 After running 'droid into' l learned it's running MT6762. However, the advertisement says MT6765, and within this forum I also read it was MT6763.
Simply put: Spec your phone with the proper app to reduce the possibilities of bricking it, then proceed..

Cheers,
I tried several TWRP versions and the last being 331. I fell asleep with the phone connected to my PC and now the battery is dead, in boot-loop. How can I keep the phone off? When I cut the phone off [volume down +power] it only stays off long enough to charge the phone to cut back on?
When it loads it says:
Orange State
Your phone is unlocked and cannot be trusted.
Your phone will reboot in 5 seconds
*Oddly: Holder down Vol up + power does nothing.Only Volume Up and Down + Power - gives me the selection of:
Select Boot Mode:
-Recovery
-Fastboot
-Normal
Recovery or Normal does nothing. Fastboot functions are limited because it says "battery is too low"
Any ideas???
**UPDATE**
1. If your phone is similar to mines this phone is actually the Armor X5 Pro
2. TWRP version 331 will put your phone into a bootloop.
3. NONE of the TWRP versions work, I tried them all.
4. If purchased from amazon, complain about the "false advertisement of the chipset" and the lack of the proper firmware from the seller to obtain a refund. Its what I said, and I was refunded.
5. DO NOT use TWRP (waste of time), only apply Magisk and utilize the modules as needed.
i have all the proper downloads matching chipsets made sure on proper fw but i can not seam to get past boot logo i must be missing something first i flashed proper fw using so tool then flashed twrp then flashed revenge os its giving me a headache any help would be appreciated

This 'tutorial' is a quicky for those yet to figure this fone out. Well it took a bit time for sure, but this is how it went... No matter what recovery or magisk I tried, nothing worked, all ulefone images with twrp were 64mb in size, where-as...
