Important: Hi guys, I'm posting this message to talk about RevengeOS, yeah you already know that project so why I'm talking of it?
It's because I wanna talk about the developers of the project.
There are just 3 developers that hard worked everyday for you, with optimization, exclusive UI, volume panel, etc.
They want to make this project more and more exclusive, they want to improve everything.
And lastly, they want that their users be happy while using it.
But there is a problem, 3 developers can't do much.
So, I'm here to ask if you - if you're a developer, and if you want to join us, we have the following requirements:
- Knowledge on Android and Java
- Desire to innovate together the project
- Be mad
Email: [email protected]

Thanks for your contribution

HI!
Would You be so kind to tell, if that operating system could work properly on my Armor 5_x _Q_EEA with MT6765 platform? MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762). In other words, second revision of armor 5x, android 10.
I've got some strange problems with NFC. I received a device from China with NONEEA firmware. NFC didn't work, although there were no other problems. I switched to EEA official firmware . NFC did not work, although, again, I did not notice any other problems.
I don't no wat to do... I installed an app that reads NFC tags and read my own cards perfectly.
I updated Google services, I installed third-party payment applications. I can't pay.
I don't know what to try anymore ...
Has anyone come across this? Does NFC work on this OS?

Cheers, I have the newer Armor X5_SH1_V01
Chipset: MediaTek MT6763
Android 10/Kernal 4.9.190
is this compatible?

Cheers, thanks for the quick reply.
From reading through the complete forums for this phone (Armor X5_Q), I see that the internal specs are vastly different., yet all our phones are similar. What's advertised, may/may-not be true, and the reasons for many problems posted. To resolve download from the app store 'droid info' or similar app. I've read 3 different MT676* types.
For example. I just purchased the "2021 Armor X5 running Andriod 10 / Kernal 4.9.190 After running 'droid into' l learned it's running MT6762. However, the advertisement says MT6765, and within this forum I also read it was MT6763.
Simply put: Spec your phone with the proper app to reduce the possibilities of bricking it, then proceed..

Cheers,
I tried several TWRP versions and the last being 331. I fell asleep with the phone connected to my PC and now the battery is dead, in boot-loop. How can I keep the phone off? When I cut the phone off [volume down +power] it only stays off long enough to charge the phone to cut back on?
When it loads it says:
Orange State
Your phone is unlocked and cannot be trusted.
Your phone will reboot in 5 seconds
*Oddly: Holder down Vol up + power does nothing.Only Volume Up and Down + Power - gives me the selection of:
Select Boot Mode:
-Recovery
-Fastboot
-Normal
Recovery or Normal does nothing. Fastboot functions are limited because it says "battery is too low"
Any ideas???
**UPDATE**
1. If your phone is similar to mines this phone is actually the Armor X5 Pro
2. TWRP version 331 will put your phone into a bootloop.
3. NONE of the TWRP versions work, I tried them all.
4. If purchased from amazon, complain about the "false advertisement of the chipset" and the lack of the proper firmware from the seller to obtain a refund. Its what I said, and I was refunded.
5. DO NOT use TWRP (waste of time), only apply Magisk and utilize the modules as needed.

i have all the proper downloads matching chipsets made sure on proper fw but i can not seam to get past boot logo i must be missing something first i flashed proper fw using so tool then flashed twrp then flashed revenge os its giving me a headache any help would be appreciated

[ROM][ Teclast P76Ti ] Unofficial Android 4.0.3 Firmware with Market and Google Apps

Made a custom built firmware for Teclast P76TI. It is based on the latest LY-F1 and teclast ICS firmwares, and also has market built in (and working). The top buttons are also remapped to volume up and volume down instead of being menu and back (which are present at the bottom of the screen anyway)
The downloads also contain the LiveSuite from Ainol, as that also works on Windows 7 x64
There are two builds, one for tablets with a Goodix touch screen controller (revisions 1-3). Chose this if the other teclast ICS firmwares WORK on your device, as they are only support this touch screen controller:
http://android.sztupy.hu/dl/a10/Teclast_P76TI_r1-3_4.0.3_GAPPS_r2.7z
The other is for tablets which have an F5TX touch screen controller (rev4, built after 15 dec 2011). Choose this if you have recently bought the tablet and you find that other teclast ICS firmwares do NOT work on your tablet (as they lack support for this touch screen driver):
http://android.sztupy.hu/dl/a10/Teclast_P76TI_r4_4.0.3_GAPPS_r2.7z
Main changes are:
1. Only the base AOSP apps, the File Manager and Video Player is included
2. But you have both Market and most Google Apps (Google Plus and Car Home is missing)
3. Menu and Back top buttons are remapped to Volume Up/Volume Down
4. It also works on newer Teclast tablets, with f5tx touchscreen controllers
5. Added a simple app called AllwinnerMod, to easily change the build.prop on the fly
The AllwinnerMod app can be used to change the tablet's build.prop to "SGS2" for games that think your tablet is not compatible with them (and change back if you want to). You can also remap the physical buttons with it, so for example you can change how the back and home buttons work with it. You can also switch with it to "phone" mode, by changing the dpi settings if you don't like the tablet mode of ICS. All this on-the-fly without using adb.
Changelog:
r1: initial build
r2: fixed su and build.prop. Added AllwinnerMod application

Hi sztupy, thanks for the mod rom to p76ti. I install the ics-r3to my tablet, so far works great, i really like the remape feature, but the bottom can't be hided automaticlly, it takes some space not friendly, also i found the menu key doesn't shows in some apps, i have to remape the menu key out. I hope if these can be fixed, the ICS will perform perfect.
How did you edit RFSFAT16_SYSTEM? Simg2img works fine with the Novo7 Advanced firmware, but it doesn't with the Ployer and Teclast ICS images.

Strange, as I definitely used simg2img to extract the teclast system partition (the Android 4.0.3 release, haven't tried with the 4.0.1 ones). (I had to use a different make_ext4fs avialable from a Samsung Galaxy S II topic though, as the android one didn't set the premissions in the /bin directory)
Which unpack and which simg2img did you use? Was the download fine? (not corrupted)
This is the version of simg2img (and mkuserimg) I currently use. I've created a custom ROM for my Bmorn V11, based on the Novo7 Advanced official 4.0.3 with the 3.0.8 kernel from the Ployer Momo9C and it works fine apart from some brightness issues.
Teclast A10t
hi
i just bought the teclast A10t, their new 9.7 inch tablet, official ICS is beta and have some problem with brightness adjustment and few other bugs. can i use ur rom for that Tablet ?
its based on Allwinner A10 processor!

[ROM][HARDWARE][ Teclast P85 ] official Android 4.0.3 Firmware
Hello Guys,
Sorry to post there an unrelated (or indirectly) post about a Teclast P85 tablet (seems I still don't have enought posts to create my own topic).
So I just received it yesterday:
For the price, the hardware quality is unbeatable, very nice alu shell. but software is awfully buggy! (and the screen sharpness is so-so but for the price can't really expect better... )
This one came with Android GB 2.3.4, but when I tried to connect to my Wifi network, it killed definilitely the Wifi menu : it rebooted the tablet and the menu was no longer available. Useless. So, I downloaded from the Teclast website the last firmware in ICS 4.0.3: it works much better, except the recurrent message about "android.process.acore".
I had hard time to download the ROM, (speed limit up to 4ko/s!) so I wanted to make this post to propose a faster link to download this ROM if some people are interested. I will also answer your questions about this device with pleasure =)

Android.process.acore can be corrected . As ics builds are already rooted , you just have to copy any ICS contacts.apk in the system/app folder and set the permissions like the other files in the folder and restart.

Hi,
Since I'm unable to download the mentioned ROM for my P85 from Teclast.com (time-out, unreachable) I would appreciate another link.
Teclast P85 official firmware
Hello,
I can't post link at the moment, can you give me a email address where I can send it?
The android.process.acore problem can indeed be fixed by adding the missing contacts.apk
I recommand to copy the missing contacts.apk and google apks from a ICS apk dump ( type it into google, you should find it easely =). This really improve the tablet stability, no bug since I did it.
Remaining problem for me:
-no bluetooth via dongle
-no video chat using skype or gtalk
The autonomy is a bit low ( I think 4h in wifi / browsing mode ), some lags with ICS but the ability to charge with micro USB is a great plus !

: Dear Sztupy,
I flash your ROM on my Teclast P76ti. When it boots it stops at the screen which gives you a choice of wizard or not. At this stage the touch screen does not function and I could not progress with any of the hard buttons.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi.
I need a rom with a working camera for skype calls. Is it possible with your rom?
I also noticed that a new LY-F1 firmware was released (10.3.2012). Will you update your rom based on the new version?
Thanks

Great phone, i have the V970 witch is the same on the outside, but totally different phone.
Yeah, the V970 (aka Grand X) has Tegra 2 chipset and less RAM (512MB.), the rest looks to be identical with the Grand X IN. Some people complain about the creaking back cover, but I havent noticed any problems with the construction. The edges are comfortably rounded, only the MicroUSB hole looks "low-cost" ZTE also promised Jelly Bean update which will fix the short touch buttons backlight. Intel was testing the JB update a few months ago, so it should be released in Q1 2013.
The application compatibility is ... almost the same as with an ARM chipset. Every app I've tryed is working fine, smooth and without lags, except Trial Xtreme 2 game which lagging like hell, video and audio too. Just a few minutes before I noticed some problems with Wifi internet, the connection looks stable, its not disconnecting, but the internet is working only for a few second in periods for example it works 3 sec. in 30sec. period. Strange. My wifi router signal is stable and strong, other devices are working fine. Yesterday and today I was on the same wifi too and without a single problem. Strange. Also once when I was copying a huge file from PC to phone via USB with MTP, the phone simply rebooted. I hope these bugs will be fixed in forthcoming FW update.
Yeah, the V970 (aka Grand X) has Tegra 2 chipset and less RAM (512MB.)

The V970 uses MTK6577 and 1gb ram. There is also Grand X Mimoza with the characteristics you wrote.
Overall, we have 3 phones that look exactly the same from the outside ( besides the sticker and the front camera on the IN), but totally different inside...
Anyway, this is Grand X IN topic, so i'll be shutting up now :silly:

WARNING(about custom ROMs):
As of now (23th December), at least in Polish version of Grand X In(4gb internal memory, no fmradio), there is no possibility to revert rom back to original one. If any of XDA users has any idea how to fix this problemm, please share. Also if you have noticed similair behaviour on other devices and there was a solution for it, please post it!
As far the following steps have been made:
installing Romanian/Norwegian/Hungarian versions of rom
restoring original recovery
changing build.prop to original one
editing build.prop and changing persist.service.adb.enable=1 to persist.service.adb.enable=0
It seems like device is not being correctly recognised while trying to switch back to original ROM(T-mobile PL version).
What I saw on some Hungarian forums, there is no problem with returning the original ROM. They also tryed combinating the Xolo X900s kernel and ROM with the GXINs kernel and ROM. X900s ROM was running good on stock kernel even if the resolution was different, also the BT/Wifi wasnt working.

I'm really thinking about getting this device, but I'm waiting for some informations from xda developers - some custom roms etc. I have HTC HD2 for now, so I need device with a lot of customizations for example android 4.2
It's coming for me tomorrow ...can't wait!!!
Great Smartphone!
New good Android-Phone from ZTE for the good price. Great!
Unfortunately, I don't see any movement for this excellent phone from the developers in xda. Maybe they don't like the Intel processor?

Oh, Sorry, my bad! I meant "Custom" not "Clockworkmod" recovery! Sorry for misinformation!
Anyway, I dont have too much time right now to pay attention at all of those GXI communities (Austria, Poland, Hungary), I only watch the Hungarian huge GXI thread at mobilarena.hu. I will try to update the main post with all the fresh informations, but cant guarantee.

[Resolved] [Q] How to root an Hyundai SP Octa Eagle 5"?

Hyundai SP Octa Eagle 5″ (Dual SIM, MT6592 based, KK 4.4.2, 1GB RAM, 8GB Flash)
Since there seems to be no specific help at XDA-Devs for this device, I decided to open this thread to help anyone interested...
After much fiddling, I managed to root this phone by following s7yler instructions for a very similar phone:
JIAKE X3S MTK6592 1.7GHz Octa Core 5.0 Inch HD Screen 3G
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2662812
I didn't succeed right away, so I also tried TowelRoot and Kingo, which also didn't work.
FYI, s7yler method also didn't work immediately: since I had already synchronized with my previous Google account and had a small OTA firmware update, I had to boot the phone into the "Factory Recovery" (Vol.Up+Power) and do a "Factory Reset" (bypass "no command", Vol.Down to move highlight, and Vol.Up to enter).
I then had the phone with no SIM or memory card (the default wallpaper was different, too), upon which I refrained from connecting to any wifi, and then retried the procedure that I had already tried many times before.
The VROOT application s7iler links to from his thread was unable to get the job done; I had to resort to "MT6592 ROOT TOOL 1.0" (from http://vondroid.com/resources/mt6592-root-tool.456/, free registration required), which is nothing but an unpacked older version of VROOT, which was able to update itself to a different version than the official one at the site and finally cracked the nut.

Don't forget to install Chainfire's SuperSU afterwards (and then you can get rid of the Chinese apps installed in the process, if you wish so)...
NOTE: there have been various reports around XDA-Devs forums that VROOT might be malware, so YMMV...
EDIT: just found a set of previous instructions for rooting this SOC at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2619101.

EDIT3 (IMPORTANT): if after a reflash, you start seeing a "NVRAM ERROR 0x10" (or the lagging originated by it) in your Hyundai EAGLE, you need to make it go away by following the procedure detailed at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730486 (ROOT REQUIRED)...
One further question remains: how to install a reliable recovery (CWM/TWRP) fit for this model? Tips welcome... :cyclops:
EDIT: And... I have Recovery (check 1st hidden image in present post). By following instruction from this post at the MTKDroid-Tool thread, it as simple a clicking a couple of times. I'd rather have a bigger font or a touch recovery, but hey, beggars can't be choosers...
EDIT2: And (again)... one must only ask -- I now have fully touch TWRP recovery v2.7.1.0 (stable) installed (see 2nd hidden image below), thanks to yuweng's excellent tutorial/utility:

You might have crossed paths with the [THREAD="2784183"]report of a bug[/THREAD] that supposedly affects most Mediatek based phones; I did, and tested positive with the recommended app. But after sending myself a test SMS, I can say happily that's not true for the Hyundai EAGLE -- KitKat to the rescue?

Download the recovery from this thread and also the scatter file (to do so, right click on the scatter and press save as, then save).
Download SPFT latest version from here and SuperSU .
Place SuperSU zip on sdcard or internal.
Power off device and remove battery if possible.
Plug in USB cable to PC and click on the download button in SPFT.
Connect your phone and let it flash.
Boot to recovery mode and flash SuperSU.
@ZonaRMR Hi, your rom is perfect, but I need stock firmware files which can be flashed via SP Flash Tool. I can't find it anywhere so can you make a ReadBack via SPFT? Or anyone who has got this phone? My version is 5015X but probably any will be good. Thanks for help. And no, I can't flash stock FW via official Alcatel Upgrade app or something, because phone is not recognized by this app. Only SP Flash Tool can see phone.

Hello, everyone
I just signed up and I installed this ROM...but..-I'd like to know why the SYSTEM, now, uses about 400 MB of RAM (settings - App - In use)...is it just me ??
Thanks..
Hello everyone,
Really thanks for the ROM that you have made available, but there are still too many bugs/problems...
1 - Low volume (lower than ROM stock !!)
2 - Scroll lag (Instagram, Browser, Facebook...)
3 - In most videos (Instagram, Youtube..) you only hear the audio and the image is frozen
4 - I can use only Camera stock (Camu) to make videos, because any other app crashes
5 - System takes up about 350 Mb of Ram (approximately 1 GB total)
...and something else that i'm missing...
Sorry for my not perfect english ...I expect replies...
Thank you so much !!

The thread should be restricted to Customisation and Porting of the Stock ROM.

The thread should Not include anything related to xposed PLEASE as this has a dedicated forum thread.

Simple Google search's will reveal all the info you need about the aforementioned.

Thanks mate. :good:
Custom Stock ROM v1
Due to confusion and minor bugs that required some user input I have removed the TWRP version and replaced it with this SPFlashTool version.
Before Flashing:
This ROM will wipe your internal sd_card including Pictures, Music, etc, etc on it. BACKUP First You have been warned!!!
This ROM is NOT a full Android upgrade so please make sure you are already on Android 6.0 (MM)
Whats Different bigrammy??
boot.logo Now Black instead of the White burning out your eyeballs one.
bootanimation. Now Black Pixel animation.
Default wallpapers Desktop and lockscreen Now Pixel Blue (no more boats)
Pixel Launcher
Assistant enabled
Sony id enabled (Allows you to install some Sony app's from the play store like keyboard)
Ported Sony Music Album and Video directly from my Sony C4 mt6752 device.
These are Just to name a few but has lots of other minor mods I have forgotten about.
Installing and things to Note:
MM TWRP is included in the ROM.
Please flash the entire ROM or I/we will not know whats causing the problems should there be any.
After the flash is complete boot to recovery ONLY and flash Magisk Latest Stable release HERE
First time boot takes 10 minutes so do not panic. As soon you see the boot animation go make a cup of coffee and wait.
It will boot guaranteed if you see the bootanimation. :fingers-crossed:
The reason it seems to take so long is that the boot animation continues until fully booted so you do not see the usual dialog box "updating app 1 of xxx" etc
Ensure you update Google Play Services via the playstore (Doing this First ensures smooth and uninterrupted updates of the other playstore apps)
Update all other app's listed in playstore/my apps
Note app's like trackid will only display in portrait as our device res is not officially supported.
Credit to HootanParsa for the Awesome file explorer his thread is HERE Please leave your thanks there too.
Ensure to check all app permission and choose the Pixel launcher as default.
See post #3 for instruction on hiding the SIM icon in the notifications bar.
Lastly But Most important please LEAVE SOME FEEDBACK
I know it will not be to everyone's tastes so feel free to mod add remove install what you like.

Otherwise i guess they run the risk of getting swallowed up in the thread...Not that that has ever happened

Otherwise i guess they run the risk of getting swallowed up in the thread...Not that that has ever happened
Cheers

Hi chris5s,
Yes good point & I have been mulling this over since I started this dedicated MM 6.0 thread.
I really don't want to be dragged into the world of noobs and SPFlashtool, driver installation, flashing, etc as they will swear blacks white and whites black regardless of how well it's all explained. So I will put up the links along with a strong warning that I/we will not expand on SPflashTool drivers etc etc for installation of the Original MM ROM and TWRP recovery.
All the Best.
Edit: All Done anything I missed let me know.
@bigrammy Excellent work on the thread.
Since I don't have this tablet anymore, my information are probably not updated. This is an amazing device, and I enjoyed every bit of it. It's still running strong with my younger brother.
I shall put a link to this thread in mine so that people can come here for most current information.
Great job on the new thread, looks great and should streamline the process of the noobs and experienced alike find what they need and point them in the right direction. Great tutorial. The reason Android will keep growing is because of people like ones that have been involved with the dev work on this tablet, and all the projects here on XDA..
I was just comparing my A10-70F running 6.0.1 with my mother's which is on stock 5.0.1 and found that my screen was distinctly dull and grey in comparison. After removing f.lux and checking all the display and battery settings were the same I was stumped.
That was until I discovered that the brightness slider setting does absolutely nothing on mine!
Does it work for everyone else?
@mr-br working fine here :good:
@mr-br People with non-working brightness sliders on this tablet usually have enabled auto-brightness somehow, which does not work, as the tablet doesn't have an ambient light sensor. If you disable auto-brightness (for which you might need an app, as there are no controls for it in the standard settings app), then the brightness slider should work again.
Yes tx I found this seems to be a generic issue with this tablet. Found the app via a thread on the lenovo forum.
"I just installed the App "Best Display Brightness Level" from "Top10Labs" out of the GPlay-Store, then start it and uncheck the "Auto Brightness" tick Smiley Happy After that, i can use the built in brightness slider, even after uninstall the app Smiley Happy"
My screen still has rather a blue cast though ...
Has anyone installed this ROM coming from (rooted) stock 5.0.1 yet?

To which ROM do you refer??
If you mean the Stock then pretty much everyone I guess.
If you mean my custom stock then nobody has even bothered to report anything back at all.
I am pretty sure it would be just fine but until a few report back to it's OK I cant offer any Guarantees.
If your use to SPFlashTool then restoring the tablet would not be an issue anyway.
Yes, I do mean the stock Lenovo 5.0.1. Another question would be on your custom ROM 6.0, are there any issues for Tab2 A10-70F? As I have observed, you and others in Europe have the L version, which is not available to us in the US. Also, thank you for your hard work and guidance for the device, it is appreciated.

Most of us and me included are on the "F" version I think..
It is just that the L firmware also works on our F versions.
Maybe I should make it clear that my ROM is the WiFi version only as I stripped some of the RIL parts out of the ROM
Good news! I look forward to flashing your ROM and getting 6.0 on my tablet. Thank you for your patience in addressing my concerns and questions.
